So I expect everyone to follow casual standards here and rules.

What is this roleplay about?

This roleplay is about a group of characters who happen to come across the ancient land of Eleanor, a floating island. Highly advanced in technology, it is magic like. A non-human guard resides here long after this civilization has collapsed or dissapeared, and he guards something. What is it? A key. A key to what or where? We'll find out.

What is the setting like?

There is no magic where our characters come from, magic is unheard of or does 'not exist'. We are in a kind of early industrialized age, nothing techy or modern yet. Yet not really medieval either.

Where will everyone meet?

We will meet a little restaurant on a crossroad between two towns. We will all happen to coincidentally be there or around there and all meet up and form a party.

What is the basic plot?

The basic plot is that we all party up and travel together to help one another with our own desires and goals in our life. Somehow the floating island can mean something important to us. Theres a fable that in the ancient forest "The Pith", one will get what you desire but it will come at a cost. People who have journeyed there have never returned. We then will go through the ancient forest and discover a temple, which will be a tower or Babel or Stairway to Heaven of sorts, leading us to the floating island. We wander around the island, discover things, find things. We will meet a non human guard who will riddle us and trick us because he holds the key to the old civilization's past and future, and what has happened to them. Then we find out what happens.

What characters can I play?

Humans only please, you can have status and jobs such as smith or warrior or maid, etc.

History:Xane was raised in the forest by his father, he had been for years. He learned to be one with nature, free running, shooting, and a whole lot more. When his father died, he moved into the forest in memory of his father, he's alone.

Appearance: Black hair, brown almond eyes, stands at 5'3". Wears her work attire: a blue dress below the knee, with white knee stockings and blue flats.
Equipment: First aid kit, broom, backpack of goods, scissors.
Weapons: One generic dagger for self-defense.
Special skills (if any): Health aide, food carrier.
History: Kia was born an only child with retired parents. She works in the local town and happened to stop by the restaurant because she was getting hungry. She has been a maid for some time and lives alone with her cat in an apartment studio like setting.
What is your character's goal(s) or desire(s)? Why will they want to travel and wander the forest? Kia's goals and desires are...to have an adventure and to find meaning in her life. She's on the daily grind and feels she's lacking in life, lacking in something but she doesn't know what. Kia is really a simple woman and wants simple things in life, but the simple things are not easy to get.
