Wars of Kindaluar
I have recently gotten into a Fire Emblem kind or mood and this roleplay, while not actually set in the Fire Emblem universes, will be similar in that we will be using Classes that are present in Fire Emblem Awakening. I will provide a link with this information further down the road here. Now let's get into the meat of this thing shall we?
- Story -
The continent of Souda has become a land forged on war, led by the vicious warlord-king Vida Toural. The whole land has become wrapped in the control of Toural and the hordes that call themselves the Mikan. The other continents have known that it was only a matter of time before Toural began braving the sea to challenge the rest who defy his rule. Now in the year 1028, many resistance fighters have become displaced among the five other continents and have begun urging others to join the cause quickly before the entire land becomes lost under the Mikan control. As long as there is a will in the armies of the other lands in Kindaluar, Toural has no chance of conquering the land. Should that will be lost, may the Goddess save us in the next life.
- Lands -
- Souda -
As stated above, the entire continent is now under the control of the war state Mika. Vida Toural is a warmongering tyrant that has begun spreading his armies across the dangerous and turbulent Pilaras Sea. The capitol of this dangerous land is Juya, the location of the throne Toural has built on the bones of his enemies. The city is located between the Vical river and Ikal Lake on the northern end of the continent. His soldiers wear either red, his lower level grunts that lead the immediate charge, or white which are his elite Slayers. The Slayers wear pure white so that they can bathe themselves in a shower of their enemy's blood. This country is the only known place where Wyverns are present. Playable characters can come from this country as rebels against the rule, but we are going to try and avoid players actually joining the Mikan forces. I don't really like the idea of running a PVP system just because that can be a bit of a problem to handle. This country runs under a dictatorship. Toural is ruling over all the people and should any try to rise up, they get killed.
- Puražn -
A country that has been known for its rolling green hills and the great Uata Lake in the center of the main continent. The influence of this country spreads to the islands north of the main land known as the Hibaran Islands. The problem is that those islands are getting the most attention from the Mikan forces. The capitol city of Wian is desperately searching for help from the country of Richalua to the south, who have been a close ally since the beginning of the Mikan expansion. For whatever reason, Richalua has not send assistance to the Puražnians and no message as to why. This land is known for their strong swordsmanship training. A royal family style government, with both a king and queen controlling the overall workings of the country. The royal family of Guana, stationed in Wian, earned their place by best the other royal families on the continent. Those royal families that were bested control all the different cities in the country but still serve the Guana family.
- Richalua -
The great river Xi almost splits this land known for the cold winters it suffers from. The lake that Xi creates freezes over during this time, which makes it a terrific site for the annual Icicle Celebration. Richalua has not yet dealt with the dangers of the Mikan empire, but fears their impending advance onto their soil. Richalua has recieved the requests for assistance from Puražn, but has not been able to assist due to the icebergs impeding the leaving of their ships. The small island of Kikara to the west, Vitya to the southeast and the large island of Eaka directly east are under the governments control, but are difficult to stay in contact with due to the icebergs that are forming around the main land. Currently they are picking away at the frozen ocean that has left their piers completely useless. The capitol city of Vidana has tried sending messages with carrier pigeons, but to no avail as the birds cannot survive such a long distance flight in those cold conditions. This land is known for being the first to develop the "Code of Steel", the universal code of the knight shared among the five remaining continents. This is a country run by a democracy, similar to the Buraanian culture. The difference here is that elected officials are voted in once and each city has one representative. The only way to remove an official is for them to die, which causes many political assassinations in the cold country. Due to this the government is very unstable and constantly in flux. Currently the islands have no representation, which is causing riots to break out.
- Buraan -
Considered the most bland of the continents, known mostly for the rocky terrain and constantly dried grass, the land has not communicated with the other four in almost 80 years. In that time they have developed into the greatest magical presence in the world, and is a major threat to Toural's expansion plan. The government has expanded to the Pilagio archipelago east of the main land mass. The collection of islands carries the first discovered population of Pegasus and has since been highly protected by the Buraanian government, almost a wildlife preserve if you will. The capitol city Nixas is home to two wonders, one natural and the other a creation. The great lake Hialto is west of the capitol and the School of Yual, named after the first mage to spread his teachings, is the largest school and collection of magical text in the entire world. The government is really more of a parliament, being a society that exemplifies education above all things. Similar to that of ancient Greek life. There aren't many considered noble but knights are more or less reserved as guards for members of the democracy and sites that parliament gathers. Using magic as often as they do, they tend to bend the land and soil to grow crops. Whenever the land becomes infertile, they simply use a spell to make it better. However, considering that most of the population is focused in small and condensed areas, most of the land still retains the rocky and dry grass landscape. The most common occupation for the land are scholars and trade route managers. They use the pegasi allowed to them to carry supplies between the capitol and other cities spread far out along the continent. There are no cities on the Pilagio islands due to the wildlife preserve atmosphere it has obtained.
- Litara -
The eastern neighbor of Souda, it has its hands full with trouble. Recently losing the war between them and the island country, once a territory under their rule, Muaga has left them in a dangerous situation. Toural has sensed their weakness and is preparing to attack as soon as his ships are strong enough to cross the area of the Pilaras Sea called Wiquan's Rift. This part of the ocean, named after the ocean god Wiquan, is commonplace for maelstroms and typhoons that send ships to the bottom of the Sea. Buyan, the capitol city, has begun sending requests of assistance to Buraan, but have not received any response from the mages since the end of the war five years ago. Considered the greatest archers in the world, and have begun extensive and greatly advanced uses of medicinal herbs. This country runs under a typical medieval type of government. There is a king who commands the large majority of the government, named Nijuan, with a few barons around the continent that spread the word of the king. Currently suffering from serious decrease of support due to the loss in the war.
- Muaga -
Having recently earned their freedom from the country of Litara, the Muagans have begun the process of making themselves a strong and deadly force in the world. Being an island home, they have adapted well to their limited resources. The entire country is surrounded by an amazing creation of stone taken from the Zinal mountains. A large stone slab lays around the country as a kind of levee, which keeps enemy ships almost 50 miles off the shore of their island home. Their navy is considered the largest amongst the five rebelling countries. Due to their hatred of the previous rule, Muagans and the capitol city of Jopa have refused to assist Litara, claiming their problems currently are from their own doing. These people have also learned to domesticate the Tharsa, a large seahorse indigenous to the northeast Pilaras Sea. Due to lack of steel, they have very limited resources in weapons, but a common tool used here are axes, used for clearing large bamboo forests. Harpoons and pick axes are also common for fishing and mining respectively. This culture is controlled more by a tribal set of rules. Each village has a chief, all of which answer to the head chief Yopa, the leader in the Muagan-Litaran war effort. Each village sends tribute to Yopa's and they are sacrificed to the ocean god Wiquan.

A small back story to your character. I would like at least 2 or 3 paragraphs. One is fine, but it must be detailed.
- Rules -
1.) No god-modding characters (Get hit once in a while and miss once in a while. This also goes for stealing. Get caught or fail a few times)
2.) Choose a base class first and advance in the story (Base classes are listed on the website linked in the CS. Awakening and Sacred Stones are very good)
3.) No more than two characters for each player
4.) Romance is going to stay PG-13 in forum. Go through PM for more detailed encounters if you desire
5.) At least 1 or 2 paragraphs per post. No one sentence responses
6.) Keep OOC conversation to PM's or the OOC forum.
7.) If you have any major story arcs planned, message me first so we can discuss whether or not it will work.
8.) You can be a different species such as a manakets and taguels. If you wish to be a different kind of this, simply create a back story and explain the species in detail
9.) You can upgrade from your base class through in story training. (To become a General from a Knight, you must find someone to train you in the sword. This should at least take up to four dedicated posts about your training.)
10.) Stay true to the weaknesses and strengths of each class and weapon. (Look up the triangles for magic and weapons related to Fire Emblem)
11.) When choosing your base class, understand that whatever weapons are available to that class are the only ones you can use until upgrades are available.
12.) Weapons and items will not break down like in Fire Emblem unless you choose for them to. However, potions and other things will be used up as a one use item for obvious reasons.
13.) Stay dedicated. If you go a whole two days without posting I will send you a message letting you know that you need to post. If you are going to be away, please warn me before hand.
*Notice: The first few pages of this roleplay will take place in Souda and then go into Puražn. When making a bio try to find a way that can connect your character to Souda for the time being.*
So there you have it, the details of the story as it sits currently. I figure if I can get 4 or 5 people to commit, then I should be able to open up the OOC. Also, I will control the Mikan forces during battle sequences we have during this roleplay. Naturally, I won't one-hit kill you without permission but in return I humbly ask that you not god-mode your characters so they never get hit. I think that is a fair compromise. Another thing I am going to be doing is completely negate the weapon integrity and health points that are common in Fire Emblem. I would use those in an advanced roleplay, but this being casual there is no reason to add that kind of headache. Your weapons won't break over time unless you want them too and you don't have to monitor health points. Just basically keep it to common sense. You get sliced on the chest slightly, like a simple cut that will make a scar, you won't die immediately. If you get your head cut off, don't expect someone to just glue your head back on. No -5 or crits on this thing. Just keep in sensible.
I hope that this will be a very popular idea and I hope to get a lot of requests to join. To those first 4 or 5 who commit, create a profile and if you want to create an original city for your character, all I would need from you is where it would be on the land, roughly where on the main continent or the islands under their control. Basically, you can be apart of the creation process and help me from having to get really creative with the names. Haha. Enjoy guys.
