Wilderness Adventure Camp

"Welcome to Wilderness Adventure Camp. We will be boarding the small cruise ship shortly for a 5 hour ride out into the Ocean where you will be spending the next 12 months living off of the land. I trust that you have brought the required equipment. Once we leave you on the shores, you will be cut off from all communications of the civilized world. You will not be allowed to take laptops, cell phones, camera or any other modern conveniences with you. You will be given the necessary equipment and hand books that you will need to survive.

Each Adventurer will now sign in at the tables and have your luggage ready to be inspected. I hope that each of you will be patient as we go through your luggage. After you leave your luggage at the last table, please go aboard the cruise ship for refreshments." A voice came over the PA system.

The captain was checking off the crates as the crew brought it on board. On the clip board was a list of what was in each crate.


Crate # 1- Gardening supplies
Seeds of oregano, thyme, parsley, lettuce, carrots, peas, corn beans, potatoes, tomatoes and many other vegetables.
Seedlings of grape vines, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, as well as foot high trees.

Crate #2- Farming implements and guide books
3 hoes, 3 rakes, 6 axes, 6 shovels, 50 pairs of gloves

Crate # 3- tents and supplies
12 tent rooms that can be interlocked, pegs and lead ropes

Artemis looked around, his mind far away for a second. it was the first time he had really been outside in the last year. he knew his mom was just looking out for him, but he still didn't think he was ready to do this. everyone he knew told him he wasn't the same anymore, his once muscular body now a pale shadow of itself, his hair had faded from blonde to white after a year without sun. he hefted his duffle bag over his shoulder and walked up to the tables to sign in. when he was putting his luggage on the last table, he saw a small bag sticking out of the suitcase where it had come unzipped. he reached in to adjust it and paused, his hand brushing something hard. he pulled it out to look at it, lifting the soapstone necklace by the chain. his eyes started to tear up, so he stuffed the amulet into his pocket and started fixing his luggage.

"Thank you sir. Please board the cruise ship. Next please..." the lady placed the lugguge on a table behind her so that the attendant could check through it.

"Miss Anna Bailey." a red haired female spoke clearly as she lifted her three suitcases to the table.
"Do you wish to examine my purse?" she asked the lady.
"I'l just take a quick look inside then you may take it with you." the lady took a look inside for a cell phone or ipad that could have been tucked away in the purse.
"You may take it with you, Miss Bailey. NExt please." she spoke to the next person as one of the men came and took the suitcases with him.

Anna walked to the ship, thinking about how she was kinda running away from life once more. She really didn't care for all of the comments which is why she left a letter explaining where she went and why.

Oliver walked over to the checking station and put his suit case on the table and watched as the man rumaged through olivers bag. The man found nothing "You can board the ship now sire." the man said. Oliver boreded the ship and walked the the edge and watched as others board the ship.

Alex went over to the check in station and once everyone in front of her had finished she went up and signed herself in. They had taken her luggage and sorted through it finding her panties and things that she was kinda embarrassed. Once they were finished she went up onto the ship then into her cabin to sit down and relax as the others had boarded the ship.

When Wei arrived at the ship, he fell the relieve wash away the homesickness. He turned around to take a last look at the world outside of the Temple. As he walked towards the tables for checking luggage. A fresh start, a world uncorrupted. This is a good day... He thought. I was his turn, Wei put his traveling bag on the last table. When nothing that he was not allowed to bring was found, they told him he could board the ship. His luggage was taken away. Wei walked aboard the cruise ship. Even though 'wealth of money' brings corruption, it also seems to bring about other, more impressive things. Wei's mind pondered upon the teachings of the Shaolin and the western culture, were they really different, or just to sides of the same coin?

Artemis stood on the deck, looking out at the sea. the salt air brought back memories, and though he tried to shove them away a few came to mind. he leaned against the rail as a tear rolled down his cheek. "Amy..." he mumbled, wiping the tear away.

Anabelle sighed as she looked up at the ship. She cringed as she remembered all that she left behind for this. Her parents freaked when she said she wasn't going to go straight to Standford when she graduated. She wanted to see the world before it was too late. Her parents were hardworking, her mom a doctor and her dad a lawyer. They always gave her anything she wanted, but she wanted to do something of her own. That's why she's going on this dtrip, to kind of find out who she really is. She shrugged and pushed the memory of her parents to the back of her head when she heard her name called. She put her big suitcase that matched her purse on the desk for the people to check.

Anabelle grabbed her suitcase and smiled at the woman before leaving. She rolled her suitcase around the boat a little, not knowing where to go. Nobody gave her a key or a number or even a map where her room was. the PA system just said to go up to get refreshments, but she didnt find that either. She sighed and decided to lean against a rail, looking out at the place she was leaving. She w a guy that looked kind of her age on the rail not so far away. He looked a bit sad so she walked over there and nudges him a little. "Hi, I'm Anabelle de Souza" She said friendly.

Artemis looked at the girl. she seemed friendly, and any one else would have said she was pretty, but Artemis just nodded and said "i'm Artemis. nice to meet you." he offered his hand to shake, but something about his eyes said his focus was elsewhere.

Anna was wandering about the ship. After she saw all of the small ship, which was not much at all since it was a day cruiser with just 3 bedrooms and an area to stow the suitcases, she walked through the dining room where there was some refreshments just being brought out. She decided to wait to eat or drink so she headed out to the deck. She saw a man and another woman talking and didn't want to interrupt them. She just leaned against the rail not very far away to see if there was anything or anyone interesting around her.
