Thomas Delatori grunted as he shoved through the crowd at the auction, trying to get a better look at what they had just brought in. He'd been here for the better part of a couple hours, and he was hoping there was finally something worth spending his money on. Thomas was of an average height, with black hair and green eyes. He was currently clad in jeans and a blue polo, not inclined to get his better clothes dirty, but also needing to show his status as a higher member of society to the people around. He was one of the upper class, newly risen to that position through hard work, a bit of financial wizardry, and other various methods, and so he was anxious to show his status, to shut out some of the scoffing of the older blood in the city
Finally, he got to a vantage point where he could see into the recently revealed cages, and what he saw stunned him. Dragons, real live dragons. Not like the skeletons they had in the city, but actual, live, dragons. And as the auctioneer spoke, he knew he had found his prize. With them, the old blood wouldn't dare mock him again, unless he horribly failed, in which case he'd accept it with good sportsmanship. Judging from the amount of restraints, the red one would be harder to deal with, but he figured he'd be able to get through, given enough time.
But now, the bidding was starting on the blue dragon. It was apparent that she was shy, but he wondered what might be lying behind that. Well, he'd find out in time enough. For now, he actually had to win the bid. He quickly raised his numbered placard, calling out as he did so. "Thousand Five Hundred." Time to let the bid war commence, and he promised himself he would come out on top.
