Kystilan/Rubekysil and Thomas Delatori

Rube would stay in the furnace for an hour or so. The heat there would swell and exude, but as long as the furnace remained shut it would protect the house enough and prevent her from lighting anything on fire. Inside, the heat allowed her to relax, focus, and heal. Bones, muscles, flesh... were all mending. Even bruising quickly phased through it's cycles and began to clear from her more olive toned skin.

Outside, a chill bit through the air that was... uncharacteristic of the day. Kystil had been out of sight now for a while, and truly it was because she had decided that if they were going to have this war... if Rube was going to expose them so and show off, then Kystil would meet her head on and allow Thomas to choose his favorite. At the bottom of the lake, encased almost completely in ice and with a sheen of ice across the surface, Kystil was changing herself as well, only with more time, focus, and her element... Kystil was determined to be more successful than Rube in her transformation.

Thomas went calmly about his work, making sure that he got it all done for the day. The servants would tell him if Ruby or Kystilan made a break for it, so he wouldn't worry until then. However, the forming of moisture on the window made him notice the temperature differential between the house and the outside. Normally this wouldn't be too much concern, but it was hotter inside than it should have been, and the temperature had dropped outside in the past few hours. and going off recent events, Thomas had a sneaking suspicion that he would be in for more excitement later. He just wasn't anxious to see what it was.

When Rube emerged from the furnace she looked basically brand new. Her skin was a little pink from overall heat exposure, but it would wear off in only a couple of minutes. She wrapped herself again in the blanke and made her way back through the house walking tall and confident. Her red hair was fiery as ever and her eyes bright. Around her face, wrists and ankles the slightest pressure dents could be seen, but the swelling and bruising and cuts were gone. She made her way to the room, looking around to find the clothing and food that she requested.

there was indeed food and clothes waiting, Thomas having instructed his servants some time before. The food was waiting on the table inside the room, while the clothes were on the bed. There was a selection of meats, since they didn't know which was her preference, as well as drink. There were two stacks of clothes waiting, one for more casual 'boyish' wear, and the other was a more formal 'lady' wear. As with the food, they did not know which she would prefer, though Thomas had had his suspicions, but wanted to make sure his bases were covered.

Meanwhile, Thomas had noted the reduction of temperature inside the house, a sign that Ruby was done healing, but he decided to leave her alone for now. He imagined that she and her cousin would have some things to talk about. He was currently in the process of thinking what he could do to prevent their escape. He'd heard some interesting things about addictive substances that were all but unnoticeable until you went into withdrawal which he was currently looking into, but it would still take time. Hopefully they wouldn't run off or burn the place down before then.

Ruby dressed simply enough... pants, a simple spaghetti strap shirt.... nothing too hot as she produced enough body heat that she didn't need anything holding it in for her. She slid on the shoes left for her and balled up the rest of the clothing, tossing it off to the corner lazily before she went and looked over the food. Meat, meat, and more meat... she wondered for a moment if Kystil had slipped them a note before she left. No matter really, either way she fingered a hunk of beef and bit into it with sharp canines, tearing free a chunk. While Kystil loved the taste of fish, Rube tended more towards land animals... creatures with meat and fat and blood, plenty of all. She took a few minutes, stuffing herself until the feeling of hunger had gone and she was just eating for enjoyment. At that point, she picked up one more large piece of meat and wandered out into the hallway, making her way slowly down the halls, looking over things as she passed.

She glanced into any and all doors that she found unlocked. She looked over the decorations, art, and random objects littering this silly house. None of it really interested her. It was more of an inventory of sorts in her mind. Occasionally she'd lift that extra piece of meat and nibble at it some, taking her time to merely enjoy having something raw and flavorful readily available. At some point she made her way to the room he sat in, glancing through the door before pushing it the rest of the way open and waltzing inside casually. She wasn't respectful like Kystil... didn't carry herself as though she cared what he though. She lumbered more when she walked instead of holding herself high. She was a broad shouldered, strong armed woman. Even in dragon form Kystil's form was more lithe and feminine. Rube was beautiful... but she was more of a beautiful warrior.

Look what I found... She let her eyes trail him him to the room and gave it a quick once over before pausing fixated on the window with it's slight bit of frost on the outside. Hmm. She walked over and ran her finger across the window pane. Where she touched, the frost outside melted, leaving a dripping line. At the very least it showed him that she was just as hot in her human form as she was in a dragon form... at the most she was assessing what would cause such a phenomena. She knew it had to be Kystil.
