Not as crazy as the Protestants, breaking off with a single difference in interpretation.

They're basically the hippies of the Christian world. It's amazing.

Mm, and Protestantism was only brought about because of one King's greed for women, if history serves me correctly.
    This is my design

    Mmm!

The person you're remembering is Henry VIII, who basically established his own church because the Catholic one didn't want to give him a divorce.

Protestantism was kicked off by Martin Luther because he saw injustices in the church [primarily it was the 'indulgences'; basically, pay the church X amount of money and all your sins will be forgiven] and was promptly excommunicated, so he went off and started a whole new movement/branch.

If there is a long dispute, then both parties are wrong.

Dammit I was beaten to it. I was going to be a smartass and say it was the Anglican church that was founded because of the king's greed for women.

I also learned today he can speak English, French, and Latin fliently. He's fine he can speak the main six languages of the church: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Latin, and German.

An infallible statement also hasn't been issued since I believe the Imaculate Conception of Mary.

Thing I never understood about Protestants is why the fuck they read the bible without any context, instead of reading it while taking history, the culture it was written in, traditions etc... in account, like Orthodox Christians do. The former leaves much more room for false interpretations.
