    Cold Case Love

    Reserved for AnnaBeth
Since we know what we're doing. Here's my character. =)

    Olivia Lockhart

131, but won't tell you that she is|Posing as 21|Witch|Deep knowledge of Dark magic

Olivia Lockhart comes from a long line of witches that have a deep understanding of dark magic, most of her family having been afflicted with it. In her times, she has not only used dark magic, but it didn't consume her the way it did her other family members. She understands it, and she can use it even though there is always the risk of it consuming her. She knows the witch, Gloria, for the two have both decided to lengthen their lives.

Olivia is looking for an immortality spell with minimal consequences to the witch, but she decided to put that search on the back burner when she met the Original hybrid, Klaus. She was meant to help him with the ritual to unleash his werewolf side, but was told not to shortly thereafter. To save her power. Still, even after this she travels with Klaus.

She does find him attractive after all.

    Cydne (pronounced like Sidney) Porter

    19

Human (deeply entralled in dark things, but is pretty stable with herself)

Cydne is a loved child. She has taken her own path in the last few years, which has caused her to be more outside of her normal group. Now that she is out of high school and into the adult world, she is even more reserved, and quiet. She's a writer, a singer, and a lover (when she meets the right guys).

She moved to New York to start a new life. Maybe a new life is not all she was hoping for, or anything like what she had thought.

    [Here we go. =)]

    Olivia.:.
Her bright eyes scanned the area around her. Running a hand through her silky chestnut colored hair, she allowed her foot to push her gently off the wall and walk over to Klaus who seemed to be feeling much better now that things were going his way. He was a true hybrid now, and would be able to sire those in his image, but still, Olivia knew that her job wasn't over. Not yet. "What's our next move?" she asked, though she didn't dare make eye contact with the Original.

He could kill her on a whim, even if she was a lot older and more powerful than she let on. The vervain necklace was only one line of defense, and the wolf's bane lace bracelet was just another. He wouldn't have to touch either to snap her neck and she knew it. However, fear of him was trivial, especially when he needed a witch on hand. She took her working for him as more of a payment for allowing her to live over actual fear.

Fear had been something Olivia hadn't legitimately felt in years. She knew she should probably be trembling in his presence, but she also knew that fear could greatly hinder her power. Rage would only make it better. She was also known as a sadist, but most of it was because of the clan she was from. The Lockharts. Known for being deeply riddled with dark magic. She didn't much mind that though, it gave her a great understanding of it and also the ability to use it with minimal chance of being afflicted.

She looked around though, Klaus seemed to have something on his mind. It was the look of thought written on his face that had given him away. She was the only witch he had left at the moment. Gloria was in Chicago, and everyone else was dead. No pressure though. Olivia knew when and what to feel. She was a rather obedient witch too.
    Damon.:.
Damon's eyes looked over Elena. She seemed wounded for the millionth time, but he was also a bit angry with her. Sure, Stefan left her to save him, but he was his brother. He would have done the same if in the situation, even if he led on that he would let his brother die. His pale eyes were glinting with anger, and he soon left the Salvatore boarding house without another word to the brunette.

He ran his fingers through his raven hair as he got in his car and headed off. Where was he going? Probably to the Grill or somewhere farther away. Anything to be away from Elena. He knew he should probably be protecting her, but she had friends and a semi-family to do that. He needed to let out his frustration. He needed someone to use.

Everyone around Mystic Falls was getting boring and as he headed out of the city limits he didn't care too much. He didn't have Elena hounding him. She wasn't calling, and she wasn't there. Finally he had a bit of peace, and he let himself breathe deep. "Maybe New York will have something." he mumbled, driving off on the road leading to New York. He knew that he couldn't be gone too long, but he also knew that if he wasn't gone for a while he would go mad.

    Klaus

Klaus stared at Olivia, giving a small, but proud smirk. He loved the idea that she was afraid of him. Whether it was fear, or simply respect, he could bask in the idea that she was uncomfortable looking him in the eyes, “I would say that we find every snibbling little git that kept us down this long…and we rip out their hearts, but that could get messy...er. I feel free. I can change at will, yet, I’m still angry. I just want…”, he stopped, refusing to spill his guts to her.

Turning, and beginning to walk away, he threw his hand up to show that he was finished talking, already. Sometimes, he could read himself as a childish asshole. Sometimes, he wondered if others read it too, and either ignored it, or attributed it to his personality. Truth was, he was lonely. The only family he had, was locked away…until he decided he was stable enough to deal with them. Even then, he would put them back down, if he needed to.

“How about…you and I get a drink. We could…”, he couldn’t think of the right words to use, to not sound as if he was trying to be social with her. He cared about her, sure. She was his witch. She was doing him a favor by staying here. Hmph…doing him a favor. No one did Klaus favors. Yet this war in his brain could go on for centuries and not do him any good. He pushed aside everything, and turned back to her, “Come on…humor me. Talk about it over drinks…my treat…”

Forcing a smile, he turned, once again and began walking, silently signaling for her to follow him.

    Cydne

Cydne stepped off of the curb, coming from her apartment in one of the many New York high rises. She sighed, before pulling a map from her bag and looking it over. This whole freaking city was confusing and a ball of stress. If it weren’t for the opportunities, she wouldn’t have bothered with such a place. She would much rather have moved into the country, and slept on the grass, rather than to walk these dirty streets every afternoon to get to the subway.

As she caught sight of the subway sign, she also caught sight of an antique blue Camaro headed down one of the few roads that wasn’t covered in traffic, rare for New York. She couldn’t see the driver very well, but she whistled to herself about the car. It was gorgeous, and not what you would typically expect for such a proper and sleek city.

She was shaken from her thoughts by a quick shove from one of the patrons, attempting to get around her still body, apparently headed to the subway, as well.

“Umph…Sorry…I’m…”, she started to apologize, but the man was already disappearing into the tunnel. She forced her body forward, sluggishly, and made her own way down the subway stairs. Now, she just had to find the agency…

    Olivia.:.
She listened to Klaus. He already sounded like his mind was drunk, but he walked just fine. Still the idea of a drink sounded nice and she did as she was told and followed him. She wasn't ever one for talking, she rather liked keeping to herself because the moment most people figured out who and what she was, she was on their to kill list. Not Klaus though, no, he was too pleased with being free. He had a childishness to him that gave off a comfortable aura, but she still wouldn't look him in the eye. She would only do so if told to, which was hardly ever.

Olivia had always had a problem with eye contact though, most of it was because her eyes told so much about her and she didn't want to feel like someone could completely read her with just one look. Though she was easy to read, most people didn't interpret what they saw correctly. Sure, she was in leagues with Klaus, but he was indirectly bringing her to her goal. She worked for him and he basically protected her. It was a good gig in her eyes.

Still, when they got to the bar the drink was the first thing that came. Either they were trained or Klaus had been in before because they looked at him and slid him a drink before asking her what she wanted. "Single malt." she whispered and they slid her a tall glass. One she probably shouldn't finish so she could still talk, but she had a feeling Klaus would push her to finish it. She looked to him, but didn't speak at first. "When are we getting out of here? I thought once this ritual was over you wanted to bolt." she asked, finally deciding that it was a safe thing to ask. She took a sip and let out a sigh. Whiskey was one of her favorite things.
    Damon.:.
When Damon made it into New York, he was surprised to find streets with minimal traffic. Of course he wanted no traffic, he couldn't risk dinging up his car! Still he heard a low whistle and he noticed the blonde there, but he was still going down the street. He parked his car and got out, following after the woman, though he remained discreet. She was just what he needed to get his mind off Elena. Pretty, knew when a car was nice, and she probably wouldn't be bad conversation either.

He managed to find the tunnel with no problem and he road on the subway. He knew where he had parked his car, so there was no need in worrying about it. If anyone messed with it, he would kill them, plain and simple. Still he needed an excuse to talk to her, and he looked around found himself one. "Excuse me ma'am." he used his most polite tone. You had to impress when you were trying to get someone to like you, right? "I've just moved to town and was wondering if you could tell me where this was?"

He had lifted a card off of the man beside her, and it looked like some kind of business office. "A friend of mine works there, and I'm supposed to drop in and see him now that I'm in town." he lied, but he knew it was undetectable. He liked that about himself. He had a silver tongue. Still, he couldn't help but take in the beauty of the woman. She was prettier than Elena. That much was definitely certain. He shook his head. He was supposed to not be thinking about her.

    Klaus

Klaus smiled as his drink order was performed correctly, without having to utter a word. He had been in a few times, and he was pretty sure that everyone here was a little afraid of him. Was he really that intimidating? Or did they just think he was a maniac. He took a sip of his drink and watched Olivia’s slide across the bar in front of him, with a quiet scrape against the wood.

He lifted his drink again, glancing around behind the bar as he drank and made reference to her question, “I plan to leave tonight. No need to rush. Now that I can change at will…things will be much different. Much…much different.”

Different indeed. He dared one of the locals to try and stop him now. He was just as crazy and twice as deadly as before. That was something he could thank Olivia for, and so he would, by loosening his metaphorical tie, and having chatty conversation, “Are you going to continue on, with me, or am I buying you drinks under the wrong impression?”, he asked with a smile, trying to catch her eyes.

    Cydne

Cydne was standing on the platform, watching the trains go by. Every now and then, she glanced at her ticket, checking the numbers. By now, she had memorized the damn number on the little card, but it passed a little time. Any amount of time passed, while she stood in silence, was welcomed with open arms. When a random man stepped up beside her, she quickly turned to look at him, a little shocked that he came up to her in the subway. A million thoughts attempted to force their way through her mind, most of them involved hurting the potential attacker.

However, she pushed them back, looking at what he was holding, and smiling. She slowly shook her head, “I’m pretty new here, too. I…um…I’m on my way to a casting call. I don’t know if it will help, but the call is on Carson Ave. It’s…right out of Manhattan.”

She didn’t exactly know how to talk to the man, and it showed in the way she staggered her words out. The city was still intimidating. So she felt his pain. She pulled out her map and handed it to him, as her train pulled up, “Here…take this. It might help.”, she said softly, before pushing her hair behind her ears, “My name is Cydne…”

    Olivia.:.
Olivia nodded to his answer. Thank goodness they were leaving this town tonight, she didn't know how much longer she could stand it there. It was too small, and though it was riddled with history, she couldn't help but want to leave. She was a Lockhart witch and the witches that were native to this area were known to hate all things that involved dark magic. Especially the Lockharts. However, his next question was one that caused her to raise a brow. She had planned on going on with him, but the playfulness in his words was equally puzzling.

He tried to look in her eyes and she quickly allowed them to move away. She didn't want him to look in her eyes and unravel something about her she didn't want known. "I had been planning on coming along, yes." she took another sip of the whiskey in front of her and she noticed her glass getting more and more empty with each sip. She stopped herself when it was half gone though, and she moved her hand away from the glass.

"Where do we go from here though?" she asked, briefly moving her head to look over at him, her eyes shifted after a brief moment of eye contact. She ran a hand through her hand again, and she felt something come in the bar and slightly turned to see one of the vampire from the other night. Stefan? she wanted to say. "Don't look now, looks like we've got company." she mumbled, turning back to the bar when he began approaching them.
    Damon.:.
Damon was surprised at the kindness that had arose from the woman. She certainly wasn't a New York native. Most of them were nasty and anyone who asked for directions was given a stream of curses or other vulgar language. He knew, he posed as a New York native at one point in time. Still, he took her map. "Thank you, miss." he smiled, but shortly after he learned her name. Cydne.

Seeing as she had been pretty forthcoming with the information, he held out his hand to her. "I'm Damon, thank you for being so kind. Most of the other people I've asked haven't been as kind as you have." This act was about to sear Damon's silver tongue. He could act polite, he could act kind, but it was only for so long and this was really pushing his limits. Perhaps if he showed genuine interest in her then he could get what he needed.

"A casting call? For what?" Idle chat definitely seemed to be the way to go while the trains moved through the crowding stations. This wouldn't be the one she needed though, it had been announced as a line heading the complete opposite way, so he still had a little bit of time.

    Klaus

Klaus halfway frowned at her. He wasn’t disgusted, or unhappy, just concerned that she was so reserved around him. He attempted to let himself understand. She was a witch. Much could be learned about a witch, through her eyes, but those eyes…were beautiful. Those eyes, no more than he had seen of them, already told so much about her old soul. He watched her intently as she drank, and smiled at her words. She was coming with him. He wouldn’t be alone afterall. Secretly, that’s what he feared, almost more than anything. He feared being alone, even longer than he had endured, already.

When she finally made eye contact, his own eyes softened, and he raised his eyebrows, looking down at his drink at the same time she did, “We…We could go anywhere we wanted. We just have to find…some cooperative werewolves. Let’s just hope they are all…cooperative. I would hate to spill more blood than needed, tonight.”

Klaus was half interrupted by her announcement of company. He could smell the young vampire from a mile away, and a low growl threatened to escape his throat. Could he not have peace? Even for a little while? Without turning around, he signaled for a drink for himself and one for Stefan, which the bartender seemed to know, just as well as his own.

“Stefan…So nice of you to barge into my evening…”, he said in his best cheery voice. All was okay in the world, unless there was trouble brewing. He truly hoped, for everyone’s sake in this bar, that wasn’t the case.

    --
    Cydne

Cydne gave a small smile as he took the map, “You’re welcome.”

Taking his hand, she looked him in the eyes for a second. Wow. His eyes…were really blue. Seeing them, she thought back on the amazing car that she saw earlier. Honestly, his eyes reminded her of the car. She shook her head slightly, making a face that portrayed the fact that she felt stupid. She scoffed a little, and then collected herself, “…um, sorry for the awkwardness. It’s nice to meet you, Damon. I hear ya…people in this city seem, self righteous. It’s pretty annoying, since most of them are no better, or worse than you or I…but…”

She broke off her sentence, making another face of ‘I feel so stupid’, “I’m really sorry. I’m usually not chatty…at all. Then again, I usually don’t meet new people in the subway. Sure you aren’t a serial killer? I’m headed to be a model.”, she said, posing a bit with a smile, before seeing an empty bench, and signaling towards it. She sat down, crossing one leg over another.

    Olivia.:.
Olivia nodded to him. "Finding werewolves won't be too terribly hard." she breathed, "I know a few locator spells that require no personal items. It shouldn't be too hard to track them down though." she saw Stefan's face though, and she could feel herself tense up a bit.

"Where is he?" he demanded and Olivia looked at her drink and downed the last half, feeling a little tipsy when she did and she turned to him and gave an odd look. "Damon, he's gone."

"Maybe he skipped town because he couldn't bear to look at you." she hissed, and Stefan gave her a harsh look. She knew it was best that she deal with him at the moment because Klaus was still high on his new power. She crossed her legs and looked at him. "Seriously, he probably skipped town, what would Klaus want with vermin like him?"

Stefan was getting exceedingly more angry and with a small slick of her wrist, Stefan grabbed the side of his head. "I just want to know where he is. I would give anything to know. He said he was having some problems. Bonnie won't locate him."

Olivia's eyes looked over to Klaus and she moved her hand to relieve Stefan's sudden headache. "I can find him, would require a few things, but it's Klaus' call. I work for him, not for you." she told him, turning back to the bar to hear Klaus' decision.
    Damon.:.
Her rambling was a good sign, but when asked if he was a serial killer he laughed a little. "I'm not a serial killer, just a guy who raises cars looking to visit his friend. I actually drove one of my baby here. I fix them and sell them, but this one I had to keep. I just won't drive it down the main streets, don't want to get a ding in her." he assured her and he sat down beside her on the bench.

"And modeling huh? Sounds like fun. I must say you do have the eyes for it. Very beautiful colors." he complimented her and then he saw a few people giving them odd eyes and he gave them the eyes right back. As much tension as he had at the moment, he would rip out their throats if they weren't careful... And if he wasn't in such good company. "I'm guessing you're not from around here. I gather a small town kind of girl."

He was guessing, but she gave off a small town vibe indefinitely. She was quite a bit different than the girls he had been surrounded with before this little trip. He hadn't told anyone where he was going and he had his phone off. He didn't want to be bothered for a while, but he knew he would need to turn on his phone pretty soon. Especially if he were to see this blonde again. He wouldn't kill her right off either, he would play with her, keep her around for a while.

If she wanted to, they would go back to Mystic Falls for a while, but only if she wanted. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to yet.

    Klaus

Klaus tensed, annoyed at the presence. If he had powers, like Olivia, Stefan would be on the ground, coughing up his spleen, along with anything around it. However, the only power he had, would tear this place to shreds within a few minutes, when the wolf decided to attack. His eyes began to glow a soft gold, as his annoyance brought out a bit of his other half.

Sighing, he decided to let Olivia take care of the situation, until he needed to step in. Stefan most likely knew that it was in his better judgment to try anything. If…the big word was, indeed…if he got through Olivia’s powers, he would be a pile of hamburger meat on the floor.

Ah, the conversation was about Damon. That useless piece of flesh, Stefan called his brother. Klaus understood family, but Damon was no one’s family. He used those he loved. He didn’t deserve to live, yet Elena…that bitch…still fancied him, greater than anyone else. He smirked. Elena…poor…dead…Elena. When Olivia mentioned that she could help Stefan, with his permission, he turned, finally, facing Stefan and grinning, “Sure…as long as she has the time to do her job…she can help you with your little search. It’s the least I can do…after…well, you know…”

He shifted his legs, perching them in a more comfortable position, “How is that going, by the way? Not that you would care, but…maybe your brother skipped out, because the only girl he ever loved, other than Katerina, is dead, and inside…”, he stopped, tapping Stefan on the chest, “You both blame yourselves…”

    --

    Cydne

Cydne looked at Damon in disbelief as he spoke about the cars. She was especially shocked when he mentioned driving one of his cars today. She pointed her finger in no particular direction, nodding her head, “You’re Blue Camaro guy…oh my god…”, she said, finishing with a giggle. She was hitting it off with a total stranger, and it all started with a car. She continued her laugh, “I saw you earlier. I just find it a bit ironic, that I meet you here…”

His compliment about her eyes went unanswered, or at least vocally. She blushed, and bit her lip, pulling the stray hairs behind her ears. He knew how to talk, she would give him that. He was definitely a charmer, but she hoped that he wasn’t getting the wrong idea, “Would you…like to come to the casting…with…me?”

She looked up, from under her bangs, her big eyes were almost asking him to come. Truthfully, she just didn’t feel like being alone anymore. Meeting a friend in a subway station, was better than being alone in one of the biggest cities in the world, “I’m not from here. I’m from Arkansas. Believe it or not…I am from one of the smallest towns in the state. What about you? You don’t know the city…you must be from somewhere smaller.”
