Sunfire Pirates, The Beginning
Everything was black, nothing was connecting and his brain had suffered brutal trauma. His mind felt disconnected from his body, an out of body experience some might call it. Flares of images rushed into his brain reminding him of the pain he felt not to long ago. ”Wake up....Wake up....WAKE UP!” a voice shouted trying to raise Sol from his comatose. Nothing was working, his life was slipping into the depths of the ocean where he would simply become another “Pirate Tale”. The voice came back stronger than before while his brain became more agitated, whether it was from the blond loss or the nerves contacting the brain, he did not know. More and more images scurried around in his head, more violent and profound than before. Blood, death, the smell of fish; It was all coming back to him while the pain grew excruciating! Finally, like a explosion at it's climax everything rushed to a quite murmur and then the image of a Grey murky skinned shark with robust sharpened teeth and then with a focus on they eyes the monster bellowed out a blood curdling roar. Awake, Sol had finally awoken from his comatose, drenched in sweet and his face covered in blood, nothing made sense. Kokoro was in no normal hospital, no, it was more of a fishery where they skinned and prepared. His vision growing from blurry to clear everything seemed to go from bad to worse. Being thrown into the frying pan with nothing but broken memories was not very enticing.
After a few subtle minutes, Kokoro finally regained consciousness and the adrenaline that had kept him awake faded fast. Now the pain that surged through the left side of his face cascaded into that of a razor blade cutting beneath the skin. Attempting to sit up, his movements were restricted by a pair of chains that had been cupped tightly around his wrists. This wasn't any ordinary hospital or fishery, it was a prison for humans. His strength sapped he couldn't channel enough energy to break out of his bonds, all he could do was wait. Suddenly a fishman busted through the door, plump and gargantuan in nature. The fishman introduced himself as the pufferfish fishman and Kokoro had been sold into slavery. Kokoro was ripped from his bed and brought outside where a large forge was located, the pufferfish pinned Kokoro to the ground while he heated up a piece of steel until it was scolding hot and glowing orange. Kokoro's eyes widening he knew what was to come, the pufferfish ripped the bandages off of his face and applied the heated metal to his face applying pressure as to cauterize the wound. Kokoro almost on the verge of passing out remained cringing in pain. The newly found scar was a horizontal cross the reached from across the bridge of his nose and vertically from his eyebrow down to his chin. Over the next few weeks Kokoro was nursed back to full health and was constantly tortured by the fishman until he did everything they asked on whim. Kokoro endured the pain for he was recollecting his memories of the past. Finally he had put everything together, that man...no that fishman killed his parents and sold him into slavery. Pirates were ruthless.
His personality shifting from grief and ambiguity sharpened into rage and vengeance, the catalyst that would alter serve as his drive to find 'One Piece'. Kokoro strapped in his steel chains simply touched the cold steel until the texture began to infuse with his skin and travel up his body, coating him head to toe in steel. Standing up he ripped the chains from his body and made his way out of the slave pens. However at the same time triggering the alarm. As the fishman poured in Sol disposed of them one by one using his devil fruit. He ripped through their skin with his bare hands, cutting them down with a single palm. Finally he made it to the pufferfish fisherman, the one who had started it all. Blowing up the pufferfish charged at Sol, he simply turned to the side sent a roundhouse kick to his chest, crushing his bones and then ripping out his quills and stabbing them into the fishman's own body. Kokoro left the slave pens naked and covered in blood as he walked away from the now exploding prison. On his journey out of the fishman district he was picked up by a rogue group of pirates who heard of his escape, thinking he was a kin to their ideals they showed him to a young fishman being tortured by said pirates. This torture had been going on for weeks now as they slowly eroded his virility.
How long has it been since I was on this ship?...It felt more than three weeks or has it been a month already? A year? I don’t know anymore…Why do humans hate fishmen so much?... Tash thought as his mind was distorting into madness. The door opened and the sunlight he yearns to see again was blocked by a shadowy figure, but he knew who it was. It was one of those pirates coming in for his daily torture, but what came to his surprise was another lad who stood behind him. Could today be something special? Usually one different person will come in each day, but not two. Was he new? He thought as his blank eyes stared at the stranger and the familiar pirate. His body was covered in old cuts, bruises, burn marks, and dry blood. Tash’s clothes were old and cut into pieces, it smelled like he has not bathed in awhile.
“Watch this little freak scream for more pain! Back when we first got him he was crying his ass off!” The pirate stated as he grabbed a wooden club that was sitting on the table covered in dry blood. The pirate walked over to the little fishman having a firm grip of the club in his hands. This guy looked like he was not going to hold back just because the fishman is a kid. A loud thump could be heard as the pirate bashed Tash’s head with the club making his head go down with his hair covering his face and blood dripping down from the fresh cut on his head.
Tash smirked showing his sharp teeth and looked up the pirate with new eyes, eyes that looked like it desired more pain “You call that torture?! Use a spiked club! Or a gun even! Give me the ultimate pain!! That guy over there looks like he has more balls than you!!” He shouted, maybe it was his plea for help or that he actually enjoys it. He had no other choice, but to accept this current lifestyle of his; thinking it was going to be like this forever.
The pirate was rather robust in stature and his language was select he was the stereotypical pirate that marketed the others for war criminals and pillagers. He was being led down a narrow hallway with one door at the end as they drew closer Sol could smell the reminiscent smell of fish and blood. When the door opened sunlight immediately poured in filling every crevice in the room until the sun beamed on the face of the prisoner. It was a fishman indeed, younger than Sol himself by a few years but he had scars over scars and fresh cuts from old wounds. Blood was filling the floor quickly and he boy was growing quite pale as his well being was being flushed down the toilet. “How did this shark manage to become a guppy?” Sol asked as his eyes began to fill with fires of old and rage that was intoxicating. ”Ah we caught this little shit swimming out of the fishman district. A real fighter he is, but don't worry that's why I'm here.” those words made the chasms in the mind of Sol erupt to a breaking point, however his exterior was stark clean as if he was unphased. Sol carried himself well and even though this young-in was a fishman his hate and bias was spared from this one, for he was....different. You can't judge someone until you walk in their shoes right?
The pirate grabbed the club that had been drenched in the same blood that was sprinkled on the young boys face. With a sudden jerk the pirates hand release the club at full throttle laying the fishmans skull to rest. The sight was bitter, but Sol couldn't make his rebuttal without getting the two of them killed. So he watched on as fresh blood poured from the forehead of the young fish. ”“You call that torture?! Use a spiked club! Or a gun even! Give me the ultimate pain!! That guy over there looks like he has more balls than you!!” Sol smirked and looked at the pirate “He's right. Let me have my chance.” Sol said as the fat pirate laughed and bowed in respect to Sol. Strolling over behind Tash he looked at his bound hands as he touched the steel on his belt letting his hand form into steel. With a wind up of his left hand he brought down an open palm hitting tash in the back of his head, the force of the blow was average to the sighy of the pirate, but halved on the impact Tash would receive. While his beating kept the pirate distracted his other steel hand had removed the bindings. “You're going to be beaten wihtin an inch of your life.” Sol said before getting close enough where his lips were inches from Tash's ears. Then he whispered “Don't make a move till I leave”.
With that Sol moved back to the side of the pirate “I'll wait for you outside. Make sure he begs for mercy.” the pirate was grim faced know as Sol left the two alone in the cell. Now it was Sol's turn, removing his clothes he touched the concrete walls coating his entire body in the material. Hell was about to freeze over.
The fishboy glared at the stranger thinking he was just like everyone else on the ship who takes joy of beating up fishmen children for fun. Tash closed his eyes and lowered his head once more preparing for whatever strength he possesses. When the first blow connected his eyes widen figuring out that the stranger was holding back, he tried to look up at him but the stranger’s hand kept his head lowered. What’s with this guy? Why is he holding back on a fishman? Is this his way of torture? I don’t like it one bit… He thought keeping one eye on the stranger watching him carefully. Then the young fishman felt his restraints coming loose. Don’t make a move till I leave. The stranger whispered to him as he told the pirate that he was leaving. Does this guy have a death wish? If they find out then they will kill us both! I have to get out of here fast! But first… Tash thought smirking as he waited for the next opportunity to get revenge on the current torturer.
“Very well then.” The pirate laughed as he enjoyed the sight of the new member having his fun with the prisoner. “Now then…where did we leave off?” The pirate turned to the young fishman dropping the wooden club as he went over to grab the iron spike club that was on the same table where he got the wooden one. “You asked for it and now you will get it!” The pirate shouted in joy as the club was coming down towards Tash’s head. Now was the time to act, the fishboy pushed against the wall he was once bounded to and skidded between the pirate’s legs. “What the hell?!” The pirate exclaimed surprised by the unexpected. He quickly turned to face Tash but before he could rotate all the way around, he was slashed up by one of the weapons that were once used on the fishboy that resembles the weapon he uses now. The pirate collapsed from the fatal blow and dropped his club on the ground. The young fishman looked at the exit panting heavily having getting off a load of stress he had built up for a long time. It has been a long while since he had felt freedom before…and it was time to exercise that freedom against the pirates who tortured him throughout their trip.
Tash walked towards the exit as he covered his eyes from the bright light he missed so much, it reminded him of when he first made it to the surface after being forced to live in the dark corner of the ocean. The tip of his weapon was being dragged against the wooden floor leaving a trail as he was walking towards the deck of the ship.
While the boy was planning to win the battle against the pirates Sol had already started the war. Sol bore no sympathy for the pirates nor the sound he was making, in fact he wanted the sound to be thunderous as thunderous as the raging sky's above them. The pirates rushed down the hallway in bulk, all fitted with rifles and swords. To their shock it was Sol and sol was only one man, so they laughed and then charged all at once. By now the hallway was clogged and there was no escape besides forward. Sol scoffed still made of concrete, he bull rushed into the fray with no remorse or regret, like a vicious wolf Sol plowed through the men. He cut through countless pirates spewing the contents of their stomachs out onto the floor, he even had time to grab two swords and infuse his skin with steel. Snapping off the hilt and guard of the blade he took three swords, one in each hand and a small dagger sized blade in his mouth. Sol created fresh new cuts and gashes on each of the pirates for every cut and scar they had given Tash. The congregation soon moved their chants of victory and laughter to that of screams of sorrow and despair. However the pirates remaining on the dock would not have this type of betrayal amongst pirate ranks. The pirate ship fired a cannon ball straight at Sol and Tash's prison. The ball ripped through concrete and pillars of wood creating rubble and splinters.
Sol was unharmed and unscathed but now he had touched the cannon ball gaining it's iron qualities. Heaving the massive ball onto his chest, Sol mustered all his strength and sent the cannon ball back towards the ship delivering a money shot. The ship no destroyed the pirates filtered out into the sea where they would stay afloat. Now in the open area Sol stood still smiling do to the joy of freeing another prisoner. Moments later Tash arrived at his side where he too wanted to have some fun, “Well I can't go in the water, but I'm sure as hell you can.” Sol winked pushing Tash forward.
When Tash arrived to the scene, he looked at all of the destruction and there stood the one man responsible for all of the chaos he heard while he was making his way to the deck. The fishman stared at the stranger silently, This one guy took out the whole crew? Who-No, what the hell is he?... He thought as his attention went towards the remaining pirates in the water. Well I can’t go in the water, but I’m sure as hell you can. The stranger said as he pushed Tashed into the water.
The water splashed in front of the pirate’s eyes as they know what was coming to them, they all panicked knowing their defeat and begged for their lives. One by one each pirate would get dragged into the water and then their bodies would float back up covered in blood and wounds. Each one more cut up than the last that showed how much Tash has been yearning for this moment. His insane laughing could be heard each time he cut up a pirate underwater “How do you like that?! You filthy humans can’t deal with a fishman in the water! You guys should’ve killed me when you had a chance!” He shouted happy that he was finally free. When he was done with all of the pirates in the water he jumped back onto where the stranger was located and stared at him silently. “I thought all humans hated fishmen…yet you saved me from your own kind. Th-…Th-…You are one badass motherfucker!” He stated not being what he originally wanted to say, he wanted to say ‘thank you’ but he just could not get the words out of his mouth. His compliment was the best he could do to show his gratitude towards him, even if the stranger was a fishman his comment would not be any different, it was just how he was raised.
“How do you like that?! You filthy humans can’t deal with a fishman in the water! You guys should’ve killed me when you had a chance!” Watching Tash go to work was like watching a kid learning how to swim for the first time, it was beautiful. Well despite the blood and guts getting torn limb from limb, by the end of his rampage the water was a murky crimson red with body's floating like life rafts. The young fishman came back to shore after his spree and simply fell silent, Sol was intimidating, but he never figured he was that scary. “I thought all humans hated fishmen…yet you saved me from your own kind. Th-…Th-…You are one badass motherfucker!” Sol started laughing bashfully hearing the young boys words. “Well I'm not a regular human, And besides I have bigger fish to fry.” Whether the sharkboy would understand the hidden context was up to him, but once he felt the refreshing words of the fishman he knew from that moment on he wanted to form a pirate crew. Sol extended his arm out now only made of flesh “My name's Sol, Do you want to be part of my Pirate Crew?” Sol said smiling.
Tash kept his eyes on the stranger who introduce himself as Sol and wanted to start a pirate crew. A pirate crew?...Does that mean I get to do stuff like this all the time?... He thought smirking at Sol showing his teeth. The determined look on his face was strong “Bigger fish to fry huh? Human or fish, you can count me in! I will slice up and shred our enemies into pieces!” He stated grabbing his hand in agreement having a firm grip for a child. “The name is Tash! I accept your bloody offer Sol!” He said closing the deal and licked his own blood that dripped from his forehead.
The Bandit Hunter
Rue was at the bar, sipping on a beer. Her 3 swords were with her of course, they never left her side. She was looking down at some wanted posters, in need of money so she could get by for another month. "Hey, you see that woman over there?" said a man that was at the far side of the bar. Even so his voice was hushed and he was located at the far side of her, Rue could still hear him. Another man answered, "Yea, isn't that the Bandit Hunter? What the hell is she doing in a place like this?" "Probably trying to find another job. She's been frequenting this place for a few days now, so she might be low on money." Might be? She was always low on money, all bounty hunters are. As she was flipping through the wanted posters, she found hers. "They raised it again? Man, was a pain. But, I doubt the Marines will raise it higher since I'm no real threat. So long as I stay a bounty hunter that is." she thought.
She finished her small glass of beer and asked for another. The doors to the bar slammed open, revealing two huge men with weapons. With smirks on their faces and a paper in their hands they walked in. The one with a short stubble and glasses called out, "Isn't there a woman around here? Some bitch called the Bandit Hunter." Rue took no notice and kept looking through the wanted posters. She didn't want any trouble, but it always seemed to find her. The second man wore a large hat along with a fancy suit to compliment it and walked up to the bar, sitting himself a seat away from Rue. She didn't give him so much as a glance and continued to look through the posters. The man looked at her and smirked, "So, you're suppose to be this 'Bandit Hunter'? Ha! I expected to see this huge, ugly orge-looking woman but you're nothing but a housewife!" Rue stopped looking through the wanted posters and looked at him, her eyes glaring like an angered tigers. This made the man flinch but he soon recovered as his companion stood behind Rue. "You're just another easy bounty to us. You're not even woth a forth of your bounty though." said the more vulgar man. "And that is the worth I will ever be? A bounty? What about you two? Your bounty's are by far over-estimated. 20,000 beli for the man to the right and 23,000 to the man behind me." she sneered.
Before either of the men could react, she unsheathed one of her katana's, slashed the two's clothes a many number of times, and knocked them out. Once she was done, their clothes were shredded and they were completely rendered in their birthday suits. She grabbed a rope out she'd been carrying and tied them up. "Ossan, use one of their bountys to buy some good beer and sake." she said tonelessly as she walked out of the bar. Once out, she spotted several shady-looking people. She'd heard that this town in particular was known for slave trade, pirates, and other nasty crooks. Apparently the main slave trade was fishmen and people bought them to abuse them. She scoffted at the idea, "Really, the only thing thats different between the two of us is the fact that they can swim better and they're able to breathe underwater. I wonder just how stupid the world really is. Beating people because they're different from yourself.... Jeez."
After rescuing Tash the fishman Sol was in search of a ship and a few more nakama before he could start his adventure. Tash's wounds healed nicely and Sol's scar faded into his skin quite nicely giving off a dangerous vibe. By now he had obtained his official pirate uniform which wasn't very much a uniform. It consisted of a large fur jacket that was similar to the ones the marines wore especially the way he wore it, for the jacket hinged on his shoulder and hugged his collar bones while the sleeves dangled free. He had a cross necklace and just regular white pants with black shoes and a belt. You see he had been hearing of rumors lately around the fishman area of a bounty hunter that was rather fierce for a petite woman that always carried around three swords. Despite her bad credibility Sol didn't see why else he shouldn't approach her. Sol was already in the bar by the time Rue had arrived, he watched from the corner of the bar as she manhandled the other two bounty hunters with quite ease. With that Sol confirmed his own credibility on this light haired beauty. Walking out behind her Sol “So you're the supposed 'Bandit Hunter' I keep hearing of?
Rue stopped and rested her hand on her katana's, "As weak as I may seem, my performance in there should indicate that I hold some skill." She turned around to see a fish man whose wounds were tended for and a man who wore white pants and has a cross necklace. "Yes I am this supposed Bandit Hunter," she said, hinting a bit of irritation, "and I did indeed aquire such a name by hunting bandits. As fragile I may seem, I've cut down many with these swords of mine. Now, what business does a man such as yourself have with a woman like me?" She sighed, just how many bounty hunters are willing to come after her in such a short period of time? Even she needed a break from fights. The aura the man gave off seemed very different from that of a bounty hunters. The fishman behind him gave off quite a frightening one as well but she didn't care. So long as they weren't asking for a fight, she'd be just dandy. Well, for someone who rarely showed expressions.
The bandit hunter seemed quite the stoic character from the way she presented herself, whether it was just a shell to protect her gooey insides were yet to be discovered. "As weak as I may seem, my performance in there should indicate that I hold some skill." Sol was actually more intrigued now as ever. "and I did indeed aquire such a name by hunting bandits. As fragile I may seem, I've cut down many with these swords of mine. Now, what business does a man such as yourself have with a woman like me?" Sol felt the tension swelling inside her as Sol fired away with another question one right after the other. She had been given the misogynist crap all her life and she wasn't about to let another pirate scum bag take her for anything lesser than ace value. Sol was willing to test the waters as he took a step closer to the woman. Sol looked back at Tash and winked, turning back to the girl he took his coat and flung it to the side bringing up his two fists. “Well let's see what you got”
Rue sighed, "Well, you've certainly irritated me." By the stance the man before her took, she guessed that he was an experienced fighter and knew how to hold his ground. She wasn't going to take any chances and pulled out her two katana's. If the man was more skilled than he let off, she'd have to put out her Cutlass. Taking that thought out of her main train of thought, she closed her eyes and took her stance. Rue let out a shallow breath and opened her eyes. Then, she started her attack. She came at him with one sword in front of her and the other was by her side. Once she reached him, she raised her front sword and swiftly pulled it down towards the mans shoulder and torso. With the other katana, she had the backside in front of her stomach, for defensive purposes. "Don't expect any mercy from me since you asked for this." she growled. There was something about this man that threw her off a bit. She didn't know what it was and that irritated her even more.
Sol cracked his fingers while the girl got herself physically and mentally prepared, this probably wasn't going to be an easy fight, but he was probably going to use his abilities off the bat. And so as she drew her swords it seemed she had only drawn two. “This isn't going to be fun if you don’t draw all three.” Sol touched his belt as she started her attack. His fingers grew a dark gray glossy color as it traveled up his arms and throughout hos body. By now his body was made of steel, Sol looked at the Bandit hunter directly in the eye as her blade hit his shoulder only to clash and bounce off, Sol used an open pal aimed at the opposite shoulder reached for only to halve the damage behind it. "Don't expect any mercy from me since you asked for this." Sol smiled “Oh trust me, I'm a big boy.”[/i] Sol removed his pants and his shoes knowing they would only bother him, plus his belt wasn't needed for this fight.
Rue was surprised by tha fact that the man turned into steel. "Oh trust me, I'm a big boy." he said smiling. She sighed, "Well Mr. Big Boy, I'll let you know that I don't fight with three swords at a time. The one on my back isn't for playing around." She knew there was something different about the man; he'd eaten a Devils Fruit. Rumored to come in various types and powers, they were the sea's greatest treasure. If one who was so lucky as to eat one could aquire great power. Rue remembered that he had looked her straight into the eye without and fear. If she were to show emotions, she would've cracked a smile. No ones been able to look straight into her eye without flinching first. This was going to be a fun battle. She came at him again, landing particularly hard strikes onto the steel man. Rue only did this to see the results that were to come. Once she'd striked him enough times, she backed away sheathing one of her swords, "My, aren't you quite the hard head?" This would be a tough fight if she were to not fight seriously and therefore she needed to let her mind wonder as to how he would react next.
“Well I guess you could say play times over. Now come on let me see why they call you the Bandit Hunter” Sol said bravely. Again the swordsman came at him landing a flurry of strike that appeared to just create sparks of the friction and loud clangs from the ricochet. BY now all of the bars patrons had exited to watch the battle go down between the infamous Bandit hunter and this man of steel who was stark naked. “If I didn't know better those strikes only feel like you're tickling me. Now shall we get started for real now?” By now the bar was vacant and the pirates and bounty hunters were outside in a huge crowd that quickly engulfed Tash. Whispers started shooting around ”Isn't that the Famous Bandit Hunter?!” “It is, but who's that naked guy?” “I don't know but he looks like a fool to me” gossip kept clamoring amongst the tongues of plebeians until a paper was scrounged from the bounty book, it appeared the Bandit Hunter wasn't too far off from finding a wealthy bounty before she took care of those two idiots. ”IT'S HIM! It's the Pirate who single handily decimated a pirate crew, escaped from a fishman prison, and rescued that fishman over there. He's worth 250,000,000 beri.” the fear in the voices around the crowd grew astonishingly. “Well it seems like I have a reputation. And if you haven't figured it out already I am quite the hard head.” Sol said knocking on his steel skull before charging at the swordsman at extreme speeds.
Rue glared at the people who crowded them. Less space meant less evading strategies. Then some idiot in the crowd pointed out how dangerous the man before her was. He also pointed out the incredible bounty he had on his head. She knew he was one of the few who had earned it, for he had lasted longer than anyone else she’d been up against. Then he came at her with incredible speed. She took out her cutlass, placed her feet firmly to the ground and braced for impact. She wasn’t going to let some guy she didn’t know take her down easily. She wasn’t going to underestimate it any longer, for that would most definitely be her demise in this situation. "Lemme see what you've got, steel head."
What about to come next would be unpredictable and underrepresented by anyone beyond Sol's status. You see even though Sol can turn into a hulking body of steel or diamond brute force won't win him a fight alone. That is why Sol has learned to combine two very deadly martial arts. The firs martial arts being capoeira a martial art that combines elements of dance and music. The martial art aspect is still subtle and disguised. leading many non-practitioners to ignore its presence. Capoeira is a fast and versatile martial art that focuses on fighting outnumbered or in a disadvantage, the martial arts keeps the user in a constant state of motion as to not become a still easy target while using feints and fakes to trick the target. The second marital art is that of Kung fu and a vast amount of styles, these two combined can create a very powerful and deep rooted way of combat. Leading in after the charge Sol immediately dropped to the ground swinging his body using only his hands to form a leg sweep towards the Bandits legs that was quickly followed up by his upper body pushing himself into a hand stand but only to form a rotating kick. The mixture of velocity and the hard pressed steel would make for a menacing counter attack.
“Shit!” she hissed. Once her legs were off the ground she was at a huge disadvantage. Or so it seemed. Rue heaved her katana into the solid concrete of the street and used her body weight to fling herself away from the man. She quickly regained her ground and was on her feet once more, “If you thought I relied on my swordsmanship alone to defend myself, you’re nothing but a fool.” She hadn’t calculated the extreme speed but it was worth the risk to find out. She pulled out her other katana and came at him once more. She used her katana to block his legs from kicking her and used her cutlass to strike hard onto the softer and more sensitive parts of the male body. She wondered if this would have any effect at all. If not, it would seem that there was only two places where she could try and hurt this guy.
Sol was watching as his body moved like a fluid stream of water, and it appeared the swordsman had her own form of Capoeira or tuition whichever one you preferred actually. Her quick wit and reflexives managed to prevent her from being tumbled by the blows form his steel legs. However she was quite the arrogant one “If you thought I relied on my swordsmanship alone to defend myself, you’re nothing but a fool.” like a hyena stalking it's prey the girl came at him but instead of one sword she used all three. Sol was ecstatic he was finally going to see the full fledged use of her swordsmanship. The two katana's blocked his legs and stopped his movement, now he was practically just making a handstand that left him quite vulnerable. Matter of fact she used this to her advantage trying to aim for his reproductive organs, scared and alert Sol quickly did a push up, bending his elbows and lowering his overall height. With this the sword pass through both legs. With his parts still intact he closed his legs in a vice grip trapping her sword between them. Using his upper body once more he whipped himself around so he would end up on his feet and the momentum would swing her on her butt.
Rue didn’t have enough time to react and landed soundly onto her rump. Her cutlass was between the man’s legs but this gave her an opportune moment. With extreme speed, she used her cutlass as a firm hold and she twisted her body upwards. Her legs wrapped around the man’s neck and she was in a good position to now do three things. She was quite glad that she was wearing gloves, since the next attack would involve something she wouldn’t care to do again. She pulled her body upwards to where she was face to face with the man. She used her free hand to thrust 2 fingers into his steel nose and with her armed hand she aimed her swords at the family jewels. “Care to call this a draw? I want my fingers out of your nose as soon as possible. Besides, being in this position you have the chance to throw me to the ground and crush me into oblivion.” The crowd around them hooted and laughed, "She's got her fingers in that mans nose!" Others yelled, "That Bandit Hunter had it coming to her."
As much as he thought he was flexible it appeared he was vastly out shined by the miraculous Bandit hunter. Much like a python the bounty hunter used her sword yet again as a stepping stone to curl up and around Sol's body. Some might find the scene a bit frisky, others would be intrigued, but Sol was more worried about what he would do next. She was finally face to face with Sol and apparently she was brave enough to stick two fingers up his nostrils and pin his steel jewels with her sword. “Well this would be more ironic if I was made out of diamond. I guess you could call this a draw, you're lucky I don't like smashing pretty girls like you into oblivion. While the crowd yelled and chanted Sol was more occupied with her fingers still in his nose, it was getting quite hard to breath. Instead of asking her Sol figured he'd just turn off his devil fruit and that he did, only did it leave him completely nude in front of crowd and the Bandit Hunter who was still on top of him.
Rue smirked, finally showing some time of expression, “Why thank you for your compliment. You are as smart as you are strong it seems.” Once he had turned back into his nature skin, she found it harder to stay in her current position, not that she cared to stay that way. She retracted her fingers and carefully let go of the man. She landed on her feet and grabbed her cutlass sword, sheathing it. She sheathed her other two swords and took off her dirtied glove, not wanting to have the feeling of unnartually attained warmth on her fingers and stuffed it into her back pocket. Rue then proceeded to grab the man’s clothes and once they were all gathered, she tossed them towards him. “Get dressed. Unless you like being stark naked which I will consider to be quite odd.” She huffed, resting her hands on her katana’s. It was a habit she had and by her relaxed stance, it was seen that she had no intention of fighting any longer. The crowds around her started to talk more and to gossip. “She let him off with that?!” “Man, if I was that guy I would’ve crushed her.” Finally, her short temper which had been getting shorter since her manhandling in the bar exploded. With a sharp glare that would even scare a Sea King, she yelled fiercely, “Go the hell away you pieces of crap!”
He achieved his mission, Rue finally broke the rotten exterior that Rue had been displaying for the rest of the bounty hunters to see. She smirked, it wasn't necessarily the smile he was hoping for, but it was good enough for him. “Now now we pirates can't all be brutes now can we? I mean I like pillaging as much as the next guy, but...you catch my drift.” Hoping to get another crack from being totally naked and her still on top of him, he received nothing although she was slow on the uptake. The male pirates all clapped and whistled while the women scoffed and shielded their eyes and those of their company. Once she got on her feet again she removed her tainted glove and through him his clothes, it almost seemed like a bad break up. “Get dressed. Unless you like being stark naked which I will consider to be quite odd.” Sol laughed, but he did like walking around naked, something the crew wouldn't quite get used to yet. “What? You don't like walking around naked like its your kingdom?” and then the viciousness came back tenfold as the crowd collapsed into a terror. Putting on his underwear, pants, crocodile leather shoes, and diamond sock Sol walked over to the Bandit Hunter and wrapped his arm around her. The height difference was quite astonishing, but nevertheless he kept his body relaxed “So what do you say about becoming one of my Nakama? It will be like a dojo if you're familiar with those.”
Rue chuckled, "I will only parade in the nude once I lose a bet or when I'm bathing." As the man, whose name she still didn't know, got dressed she relaxed a bit more. She didn't know why he had wanted to fight her but she would leave that fact unknown for the time being. The crowds disappeared leaving her with the Devil Fruit man and the fishman. Once the man got dressed, he strolled over to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, though he was quite larger than she was. "So what do you say about becoming one of my Nakama? It will be like a dojo if you're familiar with those." A dojo? This perked Rue's interest, "Well so long as no one attacks me during my sleep and that I know you name. I guess being someone's nakama wouldn't be so bad." she said with a shrug. She looked up at the man and held out her right, un-gloved hand, "The name's Rue Anri. Call me Rue because a nick-name would be pointless since I already have one of those. I'll try my best in doing what ever it is you need me to do, Captain." Rue hadn't introduced herself by her name in quite awhile, since everyone addressed her by the Bandit Hunter. She didn't know what the consequences of accepting her new Captian's request would be. All she could do was sit quiet and wait patiently.
Sol's ears perked up when she mentioned that of a bet, “Oh I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time we're making a bet.” As they strolled Tash tailed behind most likely thinking about ripping those pirates to shreds while the two were fighting. Sol shrugged his eyebrows as his eyes pointed upward “Oh that's right I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Sol, Captain of the Sunfire Pirates. What's your name I didn't quite catch it with all the Bandit Hunter title.” Sol grabbed the ladies delicate hand and kissed it as all gentlemen should “Rue it is I'm glad I was able to find the woman hidden under all that beri.”
The Navigator and The Shipwright
There Asch stood at the very dock right outside of his town, waiting for his father to return. His father had gone out to sea to do business as a pirate should. One of the mighty Yonkou. Asch knew it and so did everyone in the town knew, not caring due to how well the Greatest Swordsman in the World kept the town supplied when he was around. "BIG BROTHER!" Vandesdelca screamed out as the young thirteen year old flew right beside his older brother, Asch. "What do you want?" Asch asked whilst watching the horizon which happened to be far darker then it should have been. Van had an uneasy small on face with his response. "Fishy Man Kanbei wants us to get some flower from the mountain garden. He didn't look to happy. Neither did mommy." Van explained. Asch agreed reluctantly knowing that it was probably some crappy training session. Neither boy had no idea what was to come next, not knowing that the darkness on the horizon was the Marine's Power.
It probably had been only an hour since the boys had left from the area, their minds racing with the thoughts of the next day and hoping that their father would be back then. Turning back from happily picking rare flowers, Van tilted his head to the smoke raising from the direction of the town. "Big Brother. Should lots of smoke be coming from Tougo?" Van asked innocently. This caught Asch's attention slowly. His eyes caught on the many trails of smoke raising, almost instantly realizing that something was wrong. He grabbed Van's hand and began to run back with his brother in tow. Fear clogged his mind on what could be going and if their mother was safe. Unfortunately they had arrived an hour too late to the ruin that was now Tougo, the Marine ships slowly moving back. Their force was too much for such a town to handle without Luke, Asch and Van's father, around. Both boys couldn't take the destruction that had come upon their town, a place they had grown up in, trained in and loved. Van yelled for his mother while Asch searched for Kanbei. What they found was not something anyone should be forced to see. Kanbei had been impaled upon several blades and a cannonball laying behind him, a hole through his chest. Their mother had passed long before they found her, crushed under the rubble from the attack. Van screamed out in horror in want for his mother to come back. Asch, on the other hand, could only stare at the edge of the sea with a sick smile on his face.
Sol had been wondering about with his two new shipmates, but how could they be a shipmates if they didn't have a ship? Beyond that problem the other one that they faced was that his crew was comprised of two swordsmen and he couldn't have s hip complied of the sort. Sol thinking to himself he finally figured that he needed a navigator, chef, shipwright, and a doctor. After he obtained those positions he would be able to have a full crew, but that didn't help the fact that he didn't have a ship. Well as fate had it Sol while venturing through countless towns discovered that there was Togou the town that was represented by one of the Famous Yonkou, Luke. Sol figured if he needed a boat someone like one of the four Yonkou could provide him with one, Sol being an upcoming pirate and what not. As Sol and his crew got closer and closer to Togou the sky began to thicken and thicken. The whether has no sign of overcast or a cloud in the sky up until that point.
Drawing closer and closer to the town all Sol saw was 10 naval ships all draped with the Marine logo on the mast of each ship. Everyone knew what the 'Buster Call' was, it was learned from a very early age the significance of one. The realization sent fear into Sol's eyes fear that he had only experienced since the day he was kidnapped from his family. Rushing to the town to help anyone he could it was only futile, the marines had all received the coordinates from the golden den den mushi and fired upon the town. Everything had dropped on a pin drop the only thing that was left to watch was utter carnage. Cannonballs ripped through the town like Swiss cheese, explosions suddenly went up engulfing the town in flames. His ears had been used to this sound, the sound of screams and despair, but not in such waves. And finally after what felt like a century, which in reality was only a few minutes, the marines pulled away leaving nothing but an ashtray behind them. Sol's fist clenching in anger rushed towards the remains of the once legendary town ins search of at least one survivor.
