Family History:
The family's name is Zauafin (Children on the Web). They are ranked 16 in the city of Dehrhiel. The Zauafin family has not been in the city long, yet they have already risen into the ranks of the top twenty in the entire city. Once they were a member of Menzoberranzan, though they were of such a small rank, they moved to a city in founding, to be able to quickly rise in the ranks. The Zauafin family has already been in the city for one Matron Mothers lifetime. Currently housing around 50 soldiers and around 20 wizards/warlocks, and around 30 servents.

Weapons: Her staff, as well as her 6 headed Whip of Fangs, which has a tiny dagger at the end.
Bio: May'Zun is the third born child of The Mother Matron. She took the position of cleric when her mother assumed control of the house. They use May'zun should they go on a surface raid, or need to call upon Lolth, and she will go against anyone who stands in her/mother's way.

Bio: G'elde'fien was second born child. He is the Master Wizard of House Zauafin. Along with being wise, intelligent, and quick, he also has an amazing voice, though he idn't permitted to speak often. Often in the loniliness of his room, he sings spells to himself, to help recall them. Though hated by his sisters, he found a friend with his numberious potions and the spiders that occupy the house.

Wow, there were so many interested people before. Where did they all go? Oh well, more room for me I guess lol. So I put in a vote for SF also, peer pressure gets me every time.

I am interested, specific family would get my vote BUT I have a few questions to ask if I may.

Would this be d'n'd specific (power levels dice etc) or just a play by post scenario. I have a lot of knowledge based on the fantastic R A Salvatore books as well as the Elaine Cuningham trilogy but have never taken part in any d'n'd roleplays or even had the experience of a tapletop outing (none of my friends were interested in this type of activity when I was growing up and there was never any shops nearby that catered to this genre either).

Is this going to be set before the War of the Spider Queen book series or after?

Is it possible to ask if I could play as the Weapon's master of the house?

I'd like to express my interest as well, though I do have similar questions to Fantasyfan28. Will this be played according to DnD rules, and how much lore knowledge will be required? I'm familiar with the broad strokes of Drow and their culture, but if it requires buying half-a-dozen books in order to understand then I may just not be qualified >.<;

I planned on doing it pbp (play by post). I personally think its a little strange to do DnD online....so I try to avoid it at all cost. We are going to be basically making our own city. So all you would need to know is how the Drow hierarchy works within the city and the houses themselves. Their basic appearences and weapons, their classes, and the rest of it I will determine as we get further along.
