The Malleus Maleficarum, meaning "Hammer of the Witches" in Latin, was the title of a fifteenth century treatise on the prosecution of witches. The main purpose of the Malleus was to attempt to systematically refute arguments claiming that witchcraft does not exist, discredit those who expressed skepticism about its reality, and to educate magistrates on the procedures that could find them out and convict them. The treatise proved popular, and became the de facto handbook for the persecution and murder of women accused of witchcraft across Europe in in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.


Plot
Many, many years after the fall of the Kishin Asura, all was at peace... for a while anyway. Whatever madness possessed them to do it, none know, but one fateful day 13 years ago, a large group of Witches attacked the DWMA. The school survived, but the casualties were high. Thus, Lord Death issued a command to all senior Meisters, Weapons, and Death Scythes: the immediate, complete annihilation of all Witches. It was during the Witch Mass that Meister-Weapon pairs numbering in the thousands ambushed all the Witches attending their 'sacred' gathering, with the ones that escaped or didn't attend being easily mopped up at a later date by specially trained hunting squads. All in all, the operation was a huge success, with very few casualties on the DWMA's side. However, while the DWMA seemed to have eradicated every single one of them, legend has it that a group has survived, preparing to take vengeance...

Rules
1. Aragorn and I are your GMs, our word is law.
2. No Godmodding, Metagaming, or Powerplaying... unless the person you're doing it to publicly and blatantly allows you to.
3. Any and all Romance is kept to PG-13, if you want to 'hoist the shaft' then please, imply it or move to PMs.
4. Don't post irrelevant OOC in the IC, it irritates me.
5. Don't kill people unless the character's owner gives the clear and/or quits.
6. You will make your own character pair, I find that this makes it easier if your partner drops out, you want to quit, or if you're stuck without a partner when the IC starts. The only exception is for the people from the previous RP session
7. Look at your odds carefully. Take everything into account before you go and post how badass your character is and how badassly they're going to beat their opponent. People have limits, your character is not able to win all the time, keep it in mind
8. Contact one of your GMs if you have concerns or questions or you want to play a villain or something.

1. SCYTHES ARE NOT THE ONLY OPTION. Seriously, get creative. You can use knives, swords, pistols, staffs, pretty much anything. Well, as long as you aren't ridiculous and say your weapon turns into a chaingun or cannon.
2. BLACK BLOOD IS A NO NO WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM EITHER ME OR GREY.

Personality:

Joshua is laid back and calm, looking at everything with a calm mind. He exercises a high level of control over himself, which has always been one of his strengths.

Jacob is more impulsive, intent on protecting Joshua as best he can and doing what he thinks is right. He can be very stubborn and the only one who can convince him to do something that he is against is Joshua.

Biography / Background Story: Joshua comes from a spiritual family that emphasized self enlightenment. Because of this, Joshua had spent many waking hours meditating and, as a result, obtained a much sought for level of control over soul and mind. Coming to Shibusen, he met Jacob. They seemed to be an unlikely pair, Jacob being hyper and impulsive, Joshua being cool and collected. However, despite appearances, they seemed to fit together like puzzle pieces, seeming to always make up for the other's weakness.
Fighting Style: Defensive at first. Joshua spends the first segment of the battle examining his enemy, looking for weaknesses that he can exploit. Once finding them, the battle is usually short-lived.
Weapon(s) Choice: Jacob becomes a longsword like this.
Special Meister Abilities:
Exorcism: The equivalent of a anti-demon wavelength, the two have to be resonating at an extremely high rate to use this.
Soul Blade: Once they are resonating at a high enough rate, Joshua can cover Jacob with a layer of his own soul, thus rendering Jacob sharper and deadlier. It also increases their effectiveness against black bloods. This can be used in conjunction with their Exorcism and Witch-Hunter wavelengths.
Soul Sync: In the case of a chain resonance, they are able to help balance everybody's soul wavelengths. Does not guarantee success, only increases chances of it.
Soul injection: Joshua can inject the target with his own soul wavelength.
Witch Hunter: We all know what that is.

Side Notes / Other: Joshua exercises an unusual level of control over his soul and mind, enabling him to use abilities requiring a high level of concentration.

Bio: ernest and diablo go way they use to go to the same town when they were kids and ernest was kidnapped by a witch who wanted to be a copycat of medusa and used him for many of her test which mostly included different ways to turn a human into a living weapon but when she suceeded she didnt have enough so she kidnapped his one friend diablo and turned him into a scythe. Once they became comfortable with there new found abilities they decided to kill the witch that made them into the freaks they are and kill anyone like her

I have some squabbles with it. One: One does not simply transform from a scythe to a sword, even when resonating.
Two: That school part is kind of iffy, but I'm not sure what Grey thinks about it.
Three: I don't believe mercenaries would fit into the plot.

Also, all of Aragorn's points are valid; one does not merely change from a scythe into a sword, the school part is iffy with me - well mostly the kidnapping Black Blood stuff, and... well you seemed to have patched up the whole 'mercenary' hole with that in your previous post.
