People who tried to conquer the world and attacked Russia in the winter failed. Considering you want to conquer the world, you could learn from this and decide not to attack Russia until Spring. Or you could dwell on it by thinking, "If only they had attacked during the Spring! We could already be a one-world government and all I would have to do is assassinate one dictator."

Learning from history is wise. Dwelling on it is not. I have yet to learn how to make this distinction.

Maybe something along the lines of "Foolishness is doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result." They tried it once, it didn't work, so they're taking anyone left fro the old one and trying to find new people to do the same thing...I don't like joining late, and that's about what it amounts to. Though if the title doesn't say "reboot" and the first post describes it as something that was tried before, I won't have a problem with it. "Reboot" is sorta like "reanimate" and the visual image is something like a robot that once tried to take over the world sorta climbing back on its feet and looking around with a dazed expression, which doesn't seem like a very fun roleplay.

Ah. I get what you mean. Well, come to think of it, my RP won't be a true reboot. More like reusing the premise and making something new with it.

Anyway, brief progress report: Yesterday, I had a sudden and totally (totally) inexplicable surge of motivation entirely unrelated to the fact that I was supposed to be studying at the time. Since I had some spare time, I got a fair chunk of the OOC done, and the same may well happen today, as most of the wordy boringness is done and now I mostly just have to do the characters and such. So yeah. I'm going to stop giving myself deadlines or giving you release dates, because I'm cursed never to meet my own expectations, but things are getting done at a decent rate right now.

Bear in mind though that the OOC-in-progress is mostly wordiness and isn't quite as charming as I hoped it would be. So although the roleplay's coming up, again, don't expect to be mindblown by the OOC's appearance and neatness. Thanks.

Oh, wait, while I'm at it, I realise that I may well need a co-gm. Or two, maybe. Because even if, say, half of the people who posted interest here joined, it'll still be an impressively sized roleplay. As well as trusting the volunteer's own statements on why they want to/feel they'd do a good job of it, I'll be looking through volunteer's post history a bit just to see their experience. Though things change and it might not actually reflect on how well they'll end up doing. Or something. Bleh.

With that said, I'm casting an anti-vote for myself as Co-GM. I simply have too much going on at the moment and could not commit the extra time and effort to do so. It simply would not be my best work. That, and I have absolutely no credentials on this site yet.

I do wish you luck in finding suitable vict-eeeh, volunteers.

I'd prefer to just be a player in this one- but I have GM experience if it's REALLY needed... I've run several RPs in the past... though I don't get on as often as I used to- stupid work.
