Keep your replies to a minimum of five sentences if humanly possible, as I won't have much to go on if you don't.

It's okay to control my character if necessary, but try to avoid it if possible.

Please try to control some events yourself. It's not like I'm the game master or anything.

As this will have romance in it, you must be male, as I am only comfortable playing the male in MxM situations.


Premise: It is the year 2050. There have been some improvements in technology, but nothing too significant. Crime has risen significantly, and organizations formed solely for the purpose of stealing things for other people have evolved. Other illegal organizations have popped up, most notably laboratories experimenting on humans for new medicines, fusion of human DNA with that of animals, and creating 'superpowers'. While human-animal fusion was very successful, 'superpowers' were not nearly as successful, and only worked on humans with certain requirements. Like human-animal fusion, the mixture that activated the 'superpower' had to be injected while the human was in the womb, so it could not be determined if the child had the requirements or not before they were born. Those injected who met the requirements and gained abilities were called 'the Gifted'. Very occasionally, a child would take especially well to the formula and be born with multiple, often very powerful, abilities; these children were called 'Geniuses'. The requirements to become a Genius are unknown. The laboratories creating the Gifted often streamline these children to illegal societies, such as the organizations that were hired to steal or take revenge. This organization would raise the child and train them to become a part of their organization.

One organization, ironically named Illegal Cooperation (IC for short), teams up their Gifted with normal humans to take on jobs. Geniuses are paired with highly skilled members to take on the more important or tough projects. In a routine thievery, the Gifted protects and assists the human, whilst it is the other way around when it comes to revenge, as IC does not want their humans' hands dirtied. Despite the Gifted being stronger than the humans, they are often looked down on, but not as badly as the human-animal hybrids, which are forced to do the jobs deemed unworthy for either the Gifted or humans. Geniuses, however, are looked up to by the humans, and are very highly respected.

Your character will be a human thief working with IC who is promoted to the level that works with Geniuses. He is assigned my character as a partner, and they go on missions together. Eventually they begin to fall in love with each other. A big mission (to be determined) comes up, and tests both their relationship and their survival. (Outcome to be determined.)

Oooh, love squares. Well, if everyone's okay with a love square. However, there will absolutely be no love pentagons. If we work with four people, then there can be two sets of partners: Genius (my char) & human and Gifted & human, if everybody likes that idea. As for CSs, if we don't have them, our first posts will have to include the basics (name, appearance, maybe some general background). If there's a love square, we can just let the relationships...work out by themselves. There can even be some MxM action (laughs maniacally), but only if everyone is okay with that, as I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

So, I'll wait to hear from you guys!

Character Sheet

Name: Mona Carlisle

Age: 21

Appearance: Though most female IC operatives have to cut their hair short, as it gets in their way, Mona wears her long, straight black hair at waist-length with bangs clear-cut right above her eyes, as she finds that it rarely gets in her way. Though Gifted's eyes are more than often colors not usually found in human eyes, Mona's eyes are blue; however, her eyes are a bright zaffre blue that seem to be able to see what you are thinking, although reading minds is not one of her powers. Being such, they often put people on edge, and they tend not to like her even before they talk to her. The smirk she usually wears does not help her situation.

Personality: On the outside, Mona appears to be an annoying, self-absorbed girl, and she makes people mad often. Her default expression is a smirk, and she appears very confident. Mona is very blunt, and always calls it how it is. However, this personality is mostly a facade. Mona truly would like someone to care about her, though she purposely drives everyone who tries to get close to her away. She has never been loved, and gave up on being loved long ago. In truth, Mona probably would have killed herself long ago if she had the ability. She carries an immense bitterness toward the world for how her life has turned out, which is the cause of her smirk. Unlike most Geniuses, she despises her abilities; she does not despise the feeling of power it gives her, however. Her feelings are mixed about the fact that she is the most successful Genius ever.

Powers: Survival (Can go around 3 months without food before hitting a critical state, about a month without water, can breathe underwater, can heal, albeit slowly, from many wounds), understands how things work (In a short time, she can figure out how to do almost anything, can analyze possible outcomes of actions), powerful telekinesis, can stop time for up to five minutes, short-term power mimicry

Biography: Mona was birthed by a birthmother of the laboratory credited with producing several Gifted, and was not given a name. Mona's abilities did not manifest, though they knew she was Gifted both by the fact that she was not born a gruesome creature and her eyes. She was kept in a solitary room. They tried to stimulate her, to activate her abilities, but to no avail. When she was eight years old, they had had enough, so they decided to put her into a life-or-death situation by putting a Gifted with the ability to cause excruciating pain inside a closed room with her. He proceeded to make her cry out in pain, increasing the pain until she was writhing on the ground. She felt like she was going to die, then felt a huge surge of rage. When she came out of her stupor, there was a large dent in the wall and the Gifted was lying on the ground, his head busted open, limbs twisted into unnatural positions. The scientists were ecstatic, and, suspecting her to be a Genius, decided to run tests on her. Through their multitude of tests, all of her abilities were discovered. However, she was too weak emotionally for them. To toughen her up, they made her kill the pitiful failed Gifted. At thirteen, she began going on missions. By this time, she had an emotionless exterior, and killed those she was assigned to kill mercilessly. When she was sixteen, her mind finally broke, and she tried to kill herself. She stabbed herself over and over, slit her neck open, then passed out from the pain. She was found six hours after the incident after she had failed to show up for a assignment. She was awake, lying on the tile floor in a large pool of her own blood, her wounds slowly healing, unable to bleed to death; angry, bitter tears were flowing from her eyes, and she was chuckling softly. After that day, her current personality formed, and her mind never broke again, though it is argued that she is actually insane. She has occasional out-of-character outbursts, which those people who call her insane use to substantiate their claims. At nineteen, she became the chief Genius, which meant that she was the superior of all other operatives, but not the staff. The human she used to go on missions with killed himself, so her new partner is currently up for bid.
