[Advanced/Casual] I'm in the mood for a big bowl of roleplay to start my day

    Hello friends,

My name is Viva and this here is my first one on one interest check on this forum. I have been roleplaying on and off for ten years now. I have been out of roleplaying practice for a couple of months now, but I want to get back in the saddle as I dearly miss playing my favourite characters. Anyways, for complex reasons that can basically be boiled down to “because I am lazy”, I am not going to go over a complex set of rules and guidelines for you to follow in order to roleplay with me. I feel that if you consider yourself a literate and advanced roleplayer, you should not need rules. Plus, I am indifferent and not willing to keep up with the Joneses, so I can work with almost anything you throw at me. I will, however, go over a few things about me and what I like and don’t like in a roleplay because that’s much better than a sharp stick to the eye.

    1. Firstly, I don’t have many limits when it comes to violence, gore, or sex, but I will respect your limits. Just mention what your limits are when you contact me so I am aware. The only thing I'm not cool with are matters of rape or extremely graphic torture, sexual or otherwise.

    2. Please have a sense of humour.

    3. Although romance is not necessary for me to enjoy a roleplay, I do like it if it develops correctly. I am partial to MxM and less so to FxM pairings.

    4. I prefer to play males, but I can play both genders. Or no gender. Or every gender. Or whatever. I will double, too. But I prefer to maintain one “central” character and use doubles/triples as plot moving devices.

    5. I am a full-time college student and surgery intern. I will try and reply at least once a day (usually more), but sometimes my job and school get in the way. Use the time I’m not replying to sleep, eat, read a book, play Words with Friends on your phone, or do whatever you bloody well feel like. Please don’t pressure me to reply x 1,000 times a day. I just won’t be able to.

    6. I usually like 3-4 paragraphs a post. Sometimes more, sometimes less. As much as I love to read 2,500 words about your character’s “golden orbs” though, I will not be able to give you a serious response.

    7. I love talking with people that I’m roleplaying with and figuring out ways to twist the plot and make our roleplay world more interesting. If you have ideas, share them with me! I’m usually very gung-ho about adding new elements to a roleplay. Remember, a good roleplay is 85% magic, 14% voodoo, and 1% adding torturous new plot elements.

    8. I prefer to roleplay over PM or email. I sometimes (and by sometimes, I mean often) lose threads.

So, without further ado-- topics. I am very easily pleased and persuaded. I cannot roleplay fandoms since I don’t own a TV nor do I have time to read anything that isn’t a textbook; however, I love historical, medieval, wild west, slice of life, strange pairings, modern, yatta yatta yatta style roleplays. I am indifferent to fantasy and can live with or without it.

Interested in a roleplay? Send a smoke signal at any time. Or a PM. Or a post. All options are fine.
Ah, it's not every day you get to see the Fickle Hand of Fate giving you the middle finger.

I'm sorry if you already have lots of people replying to you about this and if you have already started a role play with someone but I was having a hard time starting a fire to send some smoke signals. . .After getting frustrated with it I went to have a break, go look around town, and when I came back I decided to reply like this. (although the smoke signal would have been very fun)

If you are still looking for people (which I'm sure you aren't, but it doesn't hurt to ask right?) would you mind doing a role play with me?

    Hiya there,

Sorry to hear that you had some problems with the whole smoke idea. I'll have to revise that strategy for the future. Anyways, I would absolutely adore starting a roleplay with you! Do you have any particular interests-- modern, historical, etc? (: As I stated, I'm pretty open right now and I'm not picky, to be honest. I'm a happy duck regardless.

I, myself, like historic stuff. If you want some romance but with a bit of action possibly I have had an idea of a sort of Bonny and Clyde (idk how to spell her name) role play. It's just because I adore the early 1900 era. I've done the role play before, where the 'Bonny' in this case was to be married to some mafia boss' son (her dad the mayor of a large city who worked with him) but before they could tie the knot she started to fall for one of the gangsters in the group (I'm not sure what to call him haha) but the mafia son learned of their little crush on each other, planing on killing the guy Bonny found out and had Clyde run away with her. She didn't want to marry him, she didn't like the mafia, and she wasn't going to leave Clyde's side.
Once they ran away they decided to start tearing down their drug and alcohol dealings which was set up all around the country.

I'm not very good at plots at all, and I'm sure that's not the greatest idea you've ever heard. Sorry, but I will try my hardest to help with plot ideas! If you don't like that idea (don't blame ya if you don't like it) then I would like to do maybe a western role play or maybe a medieval.

Well, I find that quite interesting, actually. I am not from the U.S. originally, so my U.S. history is a little foggy, but nothing I can't read up on. I'm familiar with Bonny and Clyde, of course, but my 1900s are a bit shaky; however, as long as you don't mind me occasionally having a historical blunder, than that is fine.

I'm always up for an old western or medieval, as well. I'm swamped with medieval at the moment, to be honest, and would prefer either your Bonny and Clyde or the expansionism era as mentioned above, but beggars can't be chosers, right? (:

Also, don't worry yourself over plots! I'm no mastermind plotter over here myself. I'm pretty good at coming up with twists and turns in a roleplay, but I feel like inventing initial plots are difficult for a lot of people. That said, sometimes having a "wing it" element is just as fun!

Haha I just now looked at your location I've always wanted to see Scotland! Don't worry about history too much ^^ If you want to do the Bonny and Clyde sort of thing then I would be more than happy. It would be set up more around 1920's to 1930's. If I remember my history correctly prohibition was around this time, and lots of people from Europe and Asia were headin' on over here for a better life (more likely in the 1920s for that). I believe many of the Chinese brought drugs, special things to smoke, that weren't quite legal. So, if I had to chose a time date I would have to say mid to late 1920's- a bit before the stalk market crash that led to the great depression.

I like history, but don't hold me to any of that hahaha.

Okay, I'm relatively familiar with that era. At least enough to get me by. So, we should probably talk about our characters, at least briefly. I think it may be a bit easier to actually have our own characters and not actually be Bonnie and Clyde, per say. That way, it would give us a little bit more freedom to throw-in plot twists and what have you. That and I don't know anything about Bonnie and Clyde. XD

    Werewolves? Fantasy? Modern? I dunno.

I really enjoy werewolves...or vampires, or demons...I just enjoy a good struggle and secret, with some gore and whatnot...
Whether you like it or not, you're in the middle of a war that has been raging for the better part of a thousand years. A blood feud between vampires and lycans. Werewolves.

I enjoy all of the above. Werewolves, vampires, and lions, oh my. That sounds like something that would be right up my alley.

Haha, would you like to figure out some ideas over PM's?
