Hello one and all. I'm making this thread to help with my writing. Here I'll be posting pictures/quotes/etc along with little short stories/flash fiction/drabble that deal with whatever it is I have posted. Feel free to participate by posting something for me to write about or post your own prompt/story if you wish. This is just something I'm doing to keep me writing since most of my roleplays are moving slowly at the moment.

Window to the Soul
They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. Those gorgeous eyes had been on his mind for weeks. They had never spoken and yet she was always on his mind. Once more he found himself sitting at his desk with his head down as he concentrated on the drawing he had already started. His tongue peeked from between his lips as he worked on perfecting the picture. Sitting up, he sighed as he realized he had drawn her eyes again. Why was it they captivated him so? A few people passed by and he quickly covered the drawing. She was the only one in the office with blue-green eyes. Anyone who saw his work would know it was her. He looked around before he brought the drawing back out to finish it.
He had become so engrossed in his drawing that he hardly noticed his boss was now standing behind him. The older man was plump and the scowl he wore on his face meant that he wasn't pleased with what he was seeing. "Marcus!" He jumped and looked back at his boss, his dark eyes wide with horror. He had been caught. Marcus could feel his heart racing faster than it had ever before. His palms grew slick with nervous sweat as his boss stared him down. "Do I pay you to draw Marcus?"
"N-no sir." Marcus stuttered out. The whole office was looking now. She was looking. His wide, fearful eyes glanced in her direction. She was staring right at him with a look of confusion on her face. His boss snatched the drawing off his desk and began to snicker. He held up the drawing of her eyes. Marcus felt himself turn the brightest shade of red any human had ever turned as the plump man held up his picture with his stubby, sausage fingers.
"It seems Marcus likes drawing people's eyes. That is kind of creepy Marcus."
He just wanted to vanish. He silently prayed to God to open a hole up beneath his chair for him to fall into and never come out of. The women giggled while the men just went back to work. They could care less. A voice rang out across the office. It was her voice. Marcus looked up from his desk to see her walking over to their boss. She snatched the picture from his hand and glared him down with those gorgeous eyes of hers.
"How dare you humilate Marcus like that! This is not high school Mr. White. Now go back to your office before I call corporate and let them know about this." Everyone was silent as she scolded their boss. No one had ever stood up to Mr. White like that before. Most just dealt with his bullying. Marcus' mouth had fallen open as she spoke. She was actually standing up for him. She knew he existed! He could barely contain his excitment. Mr. White turned red but said nothing as he turned and made his way back to his plush corner office. Turning slightly, she smiled at Marcus and handed him his drawing. "You're a very good artist. What are you doing in this rat hole?"
Marcus couldn't speak for a moment. "Uhm... It was the only thing I could find when I moved here." He smiled as she smiled.
"Well you deserve better than this." A light blush covered her pale cheeks. "I'd love to model for you sometime since it seems I'm your muse." She winked. Marcus thought he was going to die in that moment. He nodded and could only watch in disbelief as he picked up a pencil from his desk and scrawled her number on the corner of the paper. "Call me sometime." She smiled again before she made her way back to her desk. Marcus just sat there, staring at the number on the paper. It seemed eyes really were the window to the soul. His simple drawing had found him his soul mate...or so he hoped.

Neverending Love
I was just a little thing when she brought me home from the pound. I had never had an owner before. At first, I was scared of her but she was patient with me. She would leave food by the couch I hid under. I learned to trust her. I learned to love her. She learned to love me too. I was there when no one else was. Every time she fought with her parents, I was there. She would cry into my fur and apologize for getting me wet. I didn't care. I'd rub my head against hers and meow to let her know it was okay. I let her hold me and I would purr until she smiled brightly down at me. I was always there. If a boy broke her heart, I was there to fix it. She is my owner and I am her cat. I am forever loyal and my love is neverending.
