Every now and then, a roleplay hits an achievement that roleplayers are proud of. Whether it is an anniversary, completion, or even something has simple as post count, they need to be celebrated. Unfortunately, there are no milestones to be presented this week. Want to be featured for a RP Milestone? Take a look at your roleplay and see if it fits any of these criteria:
It was recently completed.
It has celebrated a year anniversary recently or will sometime in the next six months.
It has recently hit it's 500th or 1,000th post mark. This can also be 1,500, 2,000, etc.
If your roleplay has reached any of these milestones, or if you think your roleplay has reached a certain achievement that is not listed, please don't hesitate to PM Squee with the link to the roleplay and a description of the achievement. If you are not the GM, but wish to surprise the GM, that can also be arranged. Happy Roleplaying!
I had a dream I was in a zombie apocalypse with a few friends and strangers and basically I wrote it down and decided to create a self written version and an RP version. The RP version has done fairly well, but in a summary it is meant to re-create the human race and wait the zombie apocalypse out by eliminating the hoard little by little rather than try and eliminate one main source.
Estelle Fenix and Marcus Wiseman are two rookie Guilders based in Clockwork Town. Their job brings them into meeting various characters; from dancing songstresses to raucous rogues, assiduous mages to intoxicated rangers, boisterous berserkers to playful pranksters, bloodcurdling clerics to amnesiac alchemists and soulful bros plus many, many more. They will embark on adventures that will take them across the kingdom and explore what the world has to offer. There will be laughter, tears, life, death, romance, heartache, adversity, tribulations, conspiracies and a whole load of monster ass-kicking.
This is a Legend of Heroes. This is Tales of the World.
On the world of Terre, the oppressive Fri Imperium is on the path to conquer all of the great civilized nations. Cowed by the Imperium's martial prowess, most nations wish to appease, rather than oppose the growing empire. Only the Carodie Republic has openly chosen to stand against the Fri Imperium's imperialistic aspirations. Knowing that going toe to toe against the Imperium would lead to certain destruction, the leaders of Carodie envision a daring plan to turn the tide of the coming war before it even begins. A secret expedition consisting of the most advanced naval vessels ever constructed sets out to acquire invaluable resources that will begin the chain of events to eventually bring the Imperium to its knees.
In this steampunk themed adventure, players make up the crew of the C.R.S Phorcys, one of the super-ships that has been sent to ensure Carodie's freedom. Facing the entirety of the Fri Imperium's might, as well as dangers unforeseen, the crew of the Phorcyswill be tried and tested in fire at every turn. If the crew fails, nothing less than the liberty of not only the people of Carodie, but all the nation's of Terre, will be lost in the dark maw of the Imperium...
Bottomline is... There are humans... The world is full of humans. They go about there everyday lives peacefully.
There are also people with powers. They... Are one of two things:
1) Loved/helped = about 10% of world
2) Hated/hunted = about 90% of world
Whether they are good or bad if they have powers most of the world hates them and want them dead. This is a problem. Even if some people are willing to help it doesn't change that everyone else wants them dead.
They want to just live and do whatever.
Eh... It doesn't really have an exact plot. It's just for fun. Are you a power user? Do you have some insanely powerful power or simply a small power that's kind of fun...
Are you human? Do you like Power users? Or hate them?
It's all about the characters interacting and living... Not much else.
But keep in mind... No speed posting and try to at least put 4-5 sentences per post. When you don't put much detail it's kind of harder to RP.
Revajk was the greatest king in all of recorded history, and Athaeon reached an undeniable golden age under his rule. He was loved by everyone, as were his wife and daughter. Princess Kyissa has just come of age, and King Revajk is throwing a big party to celebrate. Then the Shadow Guard came. Led by Revajk's wife, They overthrew the King before anyone knew what had happened. Now, a band of adventurers must smuggle Princess Kyissa off the continent, before the newly crowned Empress Lysanda can find and kill her. Are your skills up to the challenge?
"Tell me," I said at last, "Why does he want to die? He must want to die. He's killing himself. Why?"
He looked at me in surprise. He licked his lips. "He don't want to die. He wants to live. More 'n we do. Don't nobody want to die, ever."
It made made me wonder. He was out there, steel as his only companion, killing creatures swiftly, like they were allergic to his blade. But there was nothing. And when he killed the beasts, he simply turned them into nothing as well. All around - nothing. How was this helping humanity, like he thought? Was it not just adding to the emptiness of the world? You couldn't kill those...things with compassion, that was sure. But why instigate more deaths? Let them take what they will - don't make them hunger for more. Humanity was powerless enough as it was.
No. He said.
We are at war, child. And in war the only crime is to lose.
Premise
In a world whose name has been lost with its peace, humanity has decayed. Sacred and ancient texts have since been burned to forgotten-ness, and few now lay covered in dirt and ash with its skeletal proprietors. Civilization still exists, but is fragmented across the world. It now consists of scattered villages and towns, broken down fortresses and scarred Waystones, with few cities. The world, while its original name is lost, is now called Alenta by its people. Alenta is dark, unexplored. Unknown. Creatures stalk the world; many of the common beasts and demons have common names. However, as you go further out, there are many more undocumented species, and the less information available until you eventually end up discovering new monsters- though, living long enough to spread word of their existence is rare. Common animals still exist, though they adhere to no strict habitats, and simply live where they might survive. Mammoths and other large creatures congregate deep within Alenta, protected by the Giants and Colossi it lives near. While many have given up hope on turning the tides against the creatures, people have come to terms with their predicament and even the smallest village or town has guards and patrols posted. People may live in fear, and they may long for something better, but they have accepted their situation. They are contented.
Story
Well, that's the world of Alenta! The story would take place in one of the few remaining cities, Bitewind.
Bitewind is large, especially in comparison to the many villages and towns over yonder. However, there is no "government" other than a young man named Tyrr who helped greatly in both making the city, and establishing the walls which keep it from being overrun (in fact, he is known for a great many things- also putting together the original Wall-Watchers). He is no king- if compared to modern days, he would be like a governor. He was forced to his "throne" but serves the people amicably. Because of Bitewind's importance to the world and its people, it is one of the few areas where trade exists. Trade caravans only travel to each of the few large cities, stopping only at the towns that are on their path. Many caravans need guards to defend against monsters and other threats, which makes Caravan Guards a profitable job, though you most likely would not find many willing in this city.
The story, as said, takes place in Bitewind. The characters will, for some reason or another, begin/arrive here. Later in the day, more commotion than Bitewind would have ever seen washes over the city. At least half of the Wall-Watchers flock toward the city's half-destroyed temple, where a man is being arrested, for almost the first time in ten of the city's years. The characters hear something in there head. Words are spoken inside of their minds, the same to all of them. Help me. After the source of the voice is realized to be the captured man, it is too late, and he is brought deep into the dungeons.
Soon, the characters would embark on a journey that is seemingly suicide. Along the way they will explore the unexplored world of Alenta, find ancient scrolls who hold ancient secrets, and slay creatures as small as a fox to enemies as big as a twenty foot, bloodthirsty colossus. They will be pushed to limits, betrayed, and hurt. But mostly, they will try to brave, understand, and survive a world that they know so little about.
Magic - Abilities
This is fantasy. There will be mind-blowing things to face, and unnaturally powerful foes to conquer. Or lose to. Either way, defense is necessary for the aspiring neophyte adventurer who wants to survive Alenta. Or the RP.
Magic, really does not require much explanation. There are surely plenty of ruins that hold magical secrets splashed across the lands, teaching at least a modicum amount of knowledge of the arts, but to achieve powers beyond these basics, other than rarer ruins, you would need to learn from a Master. So, just get creative with it. What's fair is common-sense. I wouldn't suggest dimension-altering, reality-shattering type abilities because, other than it being unfair, you'll have enough of that with your later enemies in the RP. And I mean..noone likes a copycat. (;
Of course, magic isn't needed. There are plenty of warriors who are born with abilities akin to magic, but yet unexplainable by magical principles (for you sword-wielding badasses). They are known as Blessed. And if anyone would want to be a natural Magus, who actually does follow the laws and principles and bleh, I'd be happy to write something out for you. But I don't see there being many of you.
Anyway, it goes without saying that in this world, there are adventurers, legends, etc - but not many. They are few and far between. Most people will think you crazy for wanting to leave your home, or pretty much do anything like sneak into a dungeon and save a mysterious stranger who did not even say please. So... be realistic !
Name: Self-explanatory. Should be, at least..
Age: Whatever works, though a team of ninety year old warriors discovering the world's secrets sounds more like a Bingo party to me.
Sex: Only two options here, guys.
Race: Humans pretty much outnumber most others, but you aren't limited to them.
Appearance: Descriptions are preferred, but pictures are okay in addition
Personality: To me, the most important part
Magic/Abilities: Get creative. Your characters are supposed to grow. Adapt. So keep in mind his/her limits, while also leaving room for him/her to push past them.
Weakness(es): This isn't really important, but it helps me come up with ways for the enemies to provide more of a challenge, so at least one here would be nice.
Background/History: Describe their role, their backstory, how they got their abilities, etc. I'm not really fussy about this, I'm one of those people that like to reveal their history during the RP for character development, but give me some information here.
Additional/Miscellaneous: Anything.. ya know. Additional. Or miscellaneous.

Featured Galleries
RPG has a lovely Gallery section that didn’t see enough encouragement and attention. If you have some scribbles lying around or some art you’d like to share start up a gallery and show people what you can do outside of an RP! While you are there take a moment to offer some encouragement and insight in another user's gallery, maybe they will return the favor. If you'd like your gallery to be featured be sure to send a PM to either Fallenreaper or Guru.
1Gr1mm's gallery features music, including his original lyrics on two songs and links to his music on youtube. The first post shares a little about himself, including the reasons he got into music, the Sky Hunters group he's part of and how many song's he's produced.
Buio DiAngelo's began writing a fanfic story based in the anime universe of Neon Genesis Evangelion in his writing gallery. Inspired by an off site fellow fanfic, he's decided to take a dive to try out write his own, so check it out and watch how he unfolds his story.

I just noticed that the link to Athaeon is broken. I'm 99% certain it's due to my deletion of the original thread to revise it (And update the title). If you want to check it out be sure you use THIS LINK
RavenOperative's opinion of me:
(Said in jest, of course.)
These are my house rules for RPGs. Most of them are general knowledge, but still worth reading.
1. IT. IS. A GAME. NEVER prioritize it over real life.
2. HAVE FUN. People get bent out of shape over the STUPIDEST shit.
3. PLAY NICE. If your character is an asshole, so be it. That doesn't mean you get to be one OOC.
4. THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT. Third offense gains you a permanent ban from all of my RPs.
5. IT'S YOUR RP AS MUCH AS MINE. Get creative! I'm open to suggestions!
6. PLEASE EXCUSE YOURSELF. If you MUST leave the RP, then I'm sorry to hear that. Please collaborate with me ahead of time so we can dismiss your character properly!
7. DON'T LURK. There's an excuse for being busy and not being able to post. However, there's no excuse if you're online and not posting.
8. DON'T BOTHER BITCHING ABOUT THE RP. If you don't like a feature of the RP, don't complain about it cause I'm not gonna fix it. Take it elsewhere.
9. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Good roleplaying lies in good communication, not lots of it.
10. NEW, NOT USED. I don't want to see a generic character. If you use it in another RP, I will NOT accept it.

Yeah, it is. For...the next 4.75 seconds. Maybe 4 exactly. Depends on how lenient the computer is. XD

I just wanted to say thank you for featuring my rp in the latest Guild News, it's really appreciated. =)
I don't always read the Guild News, and I don't say it often enough, and nor do I think enough other members of the site do, but I want to take this opportunity to personally thank the Admins, Moderators and Comrades who all work for this site and help to run, boost and maintain such a fantastic community. Your dedication to rping and the general happiness of everyone on this site is very much appreciated and you guys deserve to be thanked more often. It's because of you kind folks that I'm able to express my imagination, ideas and test my creative writing, plus even more importantly, allow me to share that and work with other fantastic people who I'm lucky enough to have met and be able to call my friends.
Thank you all! <3
(Plus Rogue and Polaris have to be two of my favourite X-Ladies so congrats on the excellent taste there~)
I can't wait till Fun News gets around to Spam.
The anticipation is killing me.
