A yawn came out of a young woman as she pulled into the driveway of her new home. She had just moved here from Minnapolis(sp). She had a long drive, two days drive. She slept in the car for a little while before she had to continue onward to her house. She had a lot of unpacking to do. She decided to just move here with her best friend, who was in the passenger seat snoring like a lawn mower. Elisabeth smirked looking at her friend. She shoved her shoulder. "Amber, were here!" The snoring came to a hult as her big brown eyes flashed open. "What?" she asked and Elisabeth smirked once more. "Were here, thanks for driving though!" she said sarcastically as she put the car in park, took the keys out and got out herself. Leaving her friend to stay in the car for however long she wanted. Knowing that she probably won't help too much with the moving. She just shrugged it off. It's not like she had a ton of stuff to move, they were just moving into an apartment so they didn't need to bring that much stuff. Elisabeth popped the car door open and started taking all the boxes out of the trunk. Her parents told her when she turned eighteen she was able to move out. So since she got a job at sixteen she started saving up till now. She had just turned twenty, she wanted enough money to be able to move to some place, and with her best friend. She knew her friend Amber, wasn't all that good at keeping jobs, so she saved enough money to pay her half for up to six months until she was able to get a job. Elisabeth was able to get a job transfer seeing as she was a manager at her last job, since she stayed there for four years.


Amber finally grugrily got out of the car and started helping to unload the boxes out of the car. After all most of the stuff was hers anyways. Elisabeth didn't need much stuff besides clothes. "Can we get something to eat after we bring everything inside?" Amber asked as her stomach growled. A small laugh came from Elisabeth's pink lips, "Yes we can" she smiled and closed the trunk and started bringing everything upstairs. Elisabeth had picked out a second floor, two bedroom apartment. Amber, of course, started complaining right away that the boxes were too heavy and how she wished they would've gotten a apartment on the first floor. "We only have to bring these boxes upstairs once. It's not like were going to move in the next month to a new place." Elisabeth explained trying to get her to stop complaining. "But that doesn't make the fact that their heavy help!" Elisabeth set down the box and got a key and unlocked and opened the apartment door, it was completly empty besides the kitchen filled with the normal stove, counters, fridge and that was it. When you first walk in it's the big livingroom, and on the far side wall were sliding glass doors leading to a small deck. Able to fit maybe a grill and a table and two chairs. To the right of the door was the kitchen and room for a table and some chairs. To the left was a front closet and down the hall was the two bedrooms and one bathroom. Elisabeth just directed Amber to set everything in the middle of the bare livingroom floor. Everything was also carpet besides the kitchen and the bathroom of course. The walls were white. Elisabeth stood there hands on her hips, "Once were packed in, we need to do some decorating" "You got that right!" Amber chimed in mimicking Elisabeths stand. Elisabeth laughed, "Okay lets get the rest of the stuff"

"Long ago a meteor crashed landed on my planet. From within the space rock lived a organism and whether it was peaceful or not the leaders of my race took it and kept it hidden from the rest of the race. They experimented one it for years and for years in suffered both metal and physical pain driving what ever it was mad. Finally when it just couldn't bare it anymore it broke free and attacked my race. It attacked out of anger and fear slaughtering males, females, and even children. There was nothing anyone could do, we fought against it for years til finally the last remaining of our race ran....ran far away and never stopped running. It feasted upon our planet and then moved on through space. It travels through space feasting one planets and the life on the planets getting stronger and stronger. The ancient's called it the tormented being, other's called it the beast, I call it Q-Ball. I ran away like the rest of my race from Q-Ball as fast as I could for hundreds upon thousands of years through time and space. I finally got tired of running and I wanted to stop but I never did. I know what kinda things Q-Ball can do but just because I kept running doesn't mean I aim to do something. I plan on rewriting the wrong my race did to Q-Ball. I want....no I need to stop Q-Ball. I spent lots of time planning on ways I could stop him and finally I thought of something that might have worked. I found him and we fought, both of us going toe to toe but in the end I failed and he killed me. I lost everything because of my race and what they did to Q-Ball. I lost my family, my friends, and most importantly her....Katherine. I died that day trying to stop him but I'll be reborn because I am a Cheshire! My name is Chess and I'm one of the last of my kind. I was one of the few Cheshire's born with the ability to be reborn nine times. When I'm reborn I'll only remember my name and who I am. I'll remember my family and my friends, any of them who happened to be a Cheshire that is. Any other beings I met along the way that weren't Cheshire's I'll forget...that means her...Katherine. I don't want this to happen...I don't wanna die...I don't wanna forget but I guess there's nothing I can do. If this is destiny's wills it there's nothing I can do to stop it. Where I'll end up, what I'll look like, what I'll act like, and who I'll meet I just won't know. All I know is I have to stop it...I have to stop Q-Ball or it'll continue to travel through space til there is nothing left. This is just the beginning."

It was a wonderful spring day one planet Earth 2013 and laying on the out skirts of a small peaceful town in the fresh green park grass was a man. From most people passing by him just shrugged it off because it looked as if he was taking a nap but he did get some strange and confused looks nothing more. He was laying in the grass wearing a very nice business suit. Little did they know this man, no this being was being reborn. This was Chess and his body made them see that he was just taking simple nap. They couldn't see him being reborn. Finally his eyes shot open and he sat straight up and looked around. He tilted his head a little bit and looked around with a confused look on his face. "Hmmmm...birds? I hear birds!!!" He shouted out loud getting the attention of a few people giving him some strange looks. "Where?...When am I?" He asked himself before jumping up on his feet walking over to a man. Chess got awkwardly close to the man and smiled. "Hello there my names Chess!! I uhhh...silly me I think I might of bumped my head last night. What planet is this and what years is it?" The man slowly backed away struggling to find the answers right away because of the strange questions. "Uhh yeah...your on planet earth dude and it's 2013. If you bumped your head you should go see a doctor if you can't even remember you live on earth." Chess just chuckled and shook his head waving his hand around a little bit. "Nah! I've been through much worse trust me! Anywho!....C ya!" He sunk his hands deep into his pockets and strolled off heading into town. "Earth 2013 huh? Hmmmm Interesting."

As he strolled peacefully through town he stopped at one of the shops seeing himself in the reflection of the large window. He smiled a little bit and fixed his tie up a little bit. "So this is what I look like now huh? Hmmmm Nice suit. I have everything I need. Eyes, mouth, ears, teeth, tongue, nose...I put those in a strange order. Hey I'm no longer blonde with green eyes! I have brown hair and blue eyes now!....wait brown hair. I can see my hair. MY FEDORA!!!" His eyes wide open as he looked all around him at the ground. "No no no no NO!!! Awww come on!!! It's floating around out in space I bet!!!" Chess looked up at an old lady sitting on a bench giving him a strange look. "Are you okay young man?" Chess tilted his head looking a bit confused. "Of course I'm okay! I've never been better! I lost my hat though have you seen it?" Before she was about to answer he cut her off. "Of course you haven't you can't travel through time and space!" Feeling awkward she got up and walked away with Chess waving at her with a big goofy smile of his face. "Bye then! It was nice talking to you!!! Take care!!!" Then he felt the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. Goose bumps popped up all over his body and his heart started racing. Time seemed to slow down for him as he turned around looking out onto the street. A strange tear opened up from other realm just floating there in the middle of the street. "No...it can't be....not now." Chess said to himself as people just stared at the tear some of them getting closer and closer. "NO!!! Stay back!!!" He shouted but then right there a long skinny green arm with sharp nails reached out and grabbed a man pulling him in. Everyone stopped what they were doing and started running around in panic. Then tears started opening up all over the town and that's when they started coming out.

These strange looking creatures with the body of a snake, human like arms that were skinny and green with sharp nails, and the head of a mantis started pouring out of the tears. They were fast very fast snatching up people all over. One started coming at Chess and he frowned a little bit shaking his head. "No! You don't wanna do this!!!" It ignored him and kept coming. Time seemed to slow down for him and he just sighed throwing out his right hand palm facing the creature as he sighed once more. "I warned you...." A flash blue light shot out and the creature burst into blue flames and started dying. Loud bangs and flashes of blue lights were happening all over the town any where Chess went. He was fighting the creatures walking slowly through the streets. He tried saving as many people as possible. He couldn't save them all people where being grabbed and taken into the tears disappearing for good. The look on Chess's face was disappointment. Where ever he went it never changed and sadly this was Earth's first time meeting new beings and it just had to be a violent meeting. Where ever he went there was no such thing a pure peace. He knew he'd never find it, pure peace would never be something real. Chess was starting to draw more attention to himself for the creatures as more and more people got away. This was his plan, he wanted all eyes of the creatures on him so they'd stop kidnapping people. Finally a larger looking one slid forward and stopped feet away from Chess. "Who are you...you are no human." Chess glared up at the creature and started to speak. "I am Chess...you know me and you know what I can to you!" The creature shook it's head and laughed. "Your not him! Chess was killed by Q-Ball!" Chess smirked and stepped forward. "Look into my mind...see for yourself." The creature grabbed Chess's head and looked into his mind. In a matter of seconds the creature backed away quickly. "No...impossible! You died!!!" Chess chuckled a little bit and stepped forward. "If a creature such as Q-Ball can't kill me and keep me dead what hope do you have of stopping me here and NOW!?!?!" The creature backed away and looked around at the rest of it's race. "Back!!! Back into the tears."Just as soon as they came they were gone Chess looked around the town and sighed. "Time....time to make them forget. I hate this part."

Amber sighed, all she wanted to do was sit there on the boxes and stare at the un painted walls. Why? Because she would rather do that then get more boxes. Elisabeth shook her head. "Come on we only have like five more!" encouraging Amber, she finally stood up and started to go outside to get the boxes. When she got out she grabbed a box. Suddenly she heard this big tear, she slowly turned around and this big portal looking thing opened in front of her. She dropped the box in shock. Its contents braking and shattering. Amber, hearing this quickly ran out and down the stairs as if she was a little kid and the ice cream truck came. "What's wr-" Amber said nothing more when she saw the tear. Something emerged from it, it seemed to be what was a large snake with...arms? Elisabeth kept her eyes on the one in front of her. Amber was far enough to see everything else around them. Whatever these things were, they were popping up out of nothing. They were grabbing people and Amber's eyes widened. "ELISABETH RUN!" Elisabeth heard her but couldn't shake the thought of actually running. She just stood there. Amber ran to her and tackled her, Suddenly Elisabeth realized what was going on and they started running as fast as they could.

Amber kept running to wherever she had in mind. Elisabeth stopped when she saw one of the snake-like creatures emerge in front of a man in a suit. She stared because the creature made no attempt to take him in the portal, unlike all the others. They would take someone, then the portal would close. Then another one would open up somewhere completly different. She was in shock and just stared at the man and the creature. What made her eyes widen was this thing was actually talking. She listened to this conversation, she was far enough to where they didn't see her, but close enough to hear their conversation. Something about a thing named Q-ball. Then the creature retreated and screamed out to fall back. Once the tears were all gone Elisabeth ran over to the man. "Are you okay?! That thing. It- It didn't attack you? Why? Who are you?!" all these questions were supossesd to remain in her head but she couldn't keep them in her head. Amber was off in a park somewhere when suddenly she saw the snake-like things go back into the portals without taking anyone. So she stopped in her tracks and then tried to walk back, wondering what on earth happened, where was she, and where was Elisabeth?

Elisabeth wanted answers, but it seemed as though the man didn't look like one that answered them. She was confused, "Why are you wearing a suit?" she asked. She was wearing just a casual long sleeved red shirt, with a long denim skirt. Her long brown hair flowed to her waist, her light blue eyes fixed on his face waiting for an answer. Soon Amber came into the picture wearing a short sleeved plain white t-shirt, along with some black skinnyjeans, and a light blue belt around her waist and over the t-shirt. She just stayed away from the two, but was happy that she found Elisabeth. She though wanted to listen in on the conversation. Though there was none at the time. Elisabeth raised an eyebrow. "Well?"

Chess smirked a bit watching the creature back away into the portal. This felt good he always loved this feeling. This feeling of being the best and winning. He fixed his tie with a cocky smirk on his face. One by one he saw the portals closing. Then the girl came up to him and started asking question after question. He tilted his head a little bit and backed up with a some what puzzled look. It was like the questions she was asking him were so very strange to him. "Am I okay? Of course I'm okay I'm always okay. Who am I and why didn't it attack me. Well miss I can answer that with one answer!!! Just one!" He backed up and spun around in a circle laughing out loud as he threw his hands into the air. "I am Chess! That's why and I'm amazing!!!" He stopped for a moment and looked down at the ground taping his chin with his right hand. "I suppose that wasn't a answer but two answers...but it works for me!" It was her final question that threw him for a loop. He looked at her very confused and frowning a little bit. Why was he wearing a suit? It was like he didn't even understand her silly question. "Why....why am I wearing a suit? Are you mad woman? Why aren't YOU wearing a suit?" He ran off to one of the town shops looking at himself in the reflection of the large window. "I'm wearing a suit because suits are cool!" Chess looked back at the two girls with a smile on his face. "Don't ya think?" Meanwhile getting closer and closer to the small town were four large black helicopters. Chess ran back to the girl who was asking him those questions and put his hands on her shoulders. "This is very important miss, in this little town of yours have you seen anything strange." He let go of her shoulders and turned away. "Then of course the things you saw today they don't count." He looked around his shoulder at her and smiled. "Anything before today!!!" The large black helicopter were closer to the town now they could be seen and heard.

Chess focused his attention on them now once they could be seen and heard now. "HELICOPTERS!!!! This day is just full of it isn't it?" Chess stood there watching them grow closer and closer til they finally started to land in the streets. Men and women wearing black suits started stepping out of the helicopters followed by some soldiers as well. They men and women in suits clearly worked for the government. Chess looked back at the girl and her friend chuckling a little bit. "See suits are cool." The soldiers getting off the helicopters were the ones handling the town's people keeping them calm. The ones wearing the suits were unloading strange machines off the helicopters and started to set them up. Then a man stepped off one of the helicopters. He was young and could be seen a very handsome. He was wearing a grey army captain uniform. Spotting Chess he made his way up to him. Chess crossed his arms over his chest and tilted his head a bit. "I can remember you...Smith. You have the DNA of my race inside you don't you?" The Captain being called Smith nodded. He looked back at the two girls and smirked giving them a wink. "Ladies...." Chess rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Not now Captain Smith and besides all this isn't needed I took care of those things. You can go on home now." Smith shook his head a little bit and pulled a cigar and lighter from his pockets. "No Chess it isn't over. Those things use humans as a source for fuel. Earth if filled with humans as we all know. They're coming back and they're numbers will be larger and on top of that they'll be back into about ten minutes." Chess's jaw just dropped hearing Smith. Ten minutes all Chess had. "You've got to be kidding me!?!?!" Smith shook his head an smoked his cigar. "Nope but my team is giving you a bit more time. You have about...eleven minutes. Not much but every second counts." Chess sighed an looked down at the ground rubbing his forehead. "I wake up from being reborn and this is what I have to deal with."

Captain Smith looked back at the two girls taking another step closer giving them a sly smile. "So are these two lovely ladies your new time traveling partners?" Chess deep in thought snapped right out and looked back at them and shook his head. "No they aren't my time traveling partners we've only just met. Now please Smith I am thinking!" Smith just shrugged and held out his hand. "Hello there then I'm Captain Smith and who are you two lovely ladies?" Chess started to kneel down holding his head in his hands in deep thought keeping his eyes shut. Then he stood straight up and started to walk back and fourth talking to himself. Smith looked at him and watched him pace back and fourth. "No need to worry Chess always thinks of something." Chess looked up at Smith and shook his head a little bit. "Shush!!! I'm thinking, now now now....hmmm what do I know about the race. They use humans as a fuel source and they're weird snake bug alien things. Think think think!!!! What's something both bugs and snakes hate!?!?! There has to be something!!!" Smith started to think about it for a moment and just shrugged a little bit. "I haven't got a clue, oh and you have seven minutes Chess." Chess looked at Smith giving him a glare. "Not helping!!! Not Helping at all Smith!!!!!"
