    Pokemon: The Ultimate Journey [Mid-High Casual, redux]

    [OOC: This is only for those accepted in the OOC.]

    Pallet Town, Kanto

    The normally quite town of Pallet was bustling with activity. Why? Well, the new United League was going to be visiting today, led by none other than the United League Champion Red. The young Trainer was legendary in all five Regions. After all, who else could go and conquer all five leagues before he was fourteen? Yes, it had taken Red only three years to become Champion in all the Regions, though that was no longer the case. Now, he was Champion over all Regions, and had reformed the Leagues. Now, there were five Regional Champions who held authority in each region, and they answered to the new League.

    Much of the town was watching as a crew built a stage in the center of Pallet, helped along by Machop, Machoke, Machamp, Timburr, Gurdurr, and Conkeldurr. The Pokemon and people worked in perfect unison. Many of the watchers were Trainers, and there were a good number of them. Some were just starting their Pokemon journeys, fresh from the various Professor's labs. The vistors swelled the town's population up from about 30 or so to close to 3,000. While most of the visitors were Trainers, five of them were not.

    The five Professors were also gathered around. Professors Oak, Elm, Birch, Rowan, and Juniper were sitting in special seats, chatting about their research and other various things. Many of the Trainers took the chance to say hello to the one that had started them on their journey, and the greetings were cheerily given back. So far, everything was running smoothly.

    Silph Co., Saffron City, Kanto

    Giovanni smiled. So far, things were going great. He looked up as one of his Grunts entered. "What is it?" he asked, stroking his Persian on the head. He'd never use the fickle Pokemon in battle, of course, but it made a great pet. The grunt spoke up right away. "Sir, that Milotic we captured is putting up more of a resistance than we thought..." the Grunt started, but quickly trailed off at Givanni's unhappy look. "Fool! Use more force! I don't care how it gets done, I want that Pokemon fighting for us!" Giovanni roared.

    His unhappy look became one of anger as two more Rockets stepped in, but he recognized his right-hand duo right away due to their off-color white uniforms. "You two better have good news, Jessie and James." Giovanni told them. The blue-haired male nodded. "We have excellent news, and it regards that Milotic. You see, a Feraligatr followed it. It belonged to the same Trainer that the Milotic did." James informed his boss, a smirk on his face. Giovanni stared at the man. "How is that helpful?" he asked. The red-haired female spoke up. "You see, Boss, if we can get that Feraligatr, we could use both of them." Jessie said. Giovanni nodded. Milotic were pretty rare, but a Feraligatr was rarer than a Pidgey's tooth. "Capture it." Giovanni told the first Grunt, who nodded and left. Giovanni turned to Jessie and James. "I want you two to check and make sure that their Trainer isn't following. If she is, convince her to cease pursuit. Have Zeke work on the Milotic for now." Giovanni said. The duo nodded and left. Giovanni's face became a smile again. It was good to be Boss...

    Secret Port, Lilycove City, Hoenn

    Archie was having the same thoughts. They'd discovered where Maxie's hideout was, though they'd been tailed themselves. Still, Archie knew that Team Aqua would prevail. Right now, he had some of his people on the way to Cerulean City in the Kanto Region. He knew he ran the risk of a turf war with Team Rocket if they were caught, but they needed the vast Water expertise of Misty to help accomplish their goals. That's why he'd sent his Admin Shelly to go... he knew Matt would make a big scene if he'd scent him. He just hoped that Maxie would keep his grubby paws away from his base. After all, they still had yet to locate Kyogre and use it's weather abilities to flood all the regions. Still, they had narrowed it down to somewhere along the sea routes between Pacifidlog, Ever Grande, and Sootopolis.

    Secret Cave, Jagged Pass, Hoenn

    Maxie laughed maniacally. He'd just dispatched a crew, including his Admin Tabitha, to Kanto. There, they were going to try and coerce the Pewter City Gym Leader to help them out. After that, they'd hightail it to Cinnabar Island and "chat" with Blaine. Either way, they'd get what they wanted, and their goal to expand the landmass would succeed. Maxie knew that Archie had discovered his hideout, and was displeased with it, though it was a double-edged blade: they knew where Team Aqua's hideout was in turn. Their project of digging the cave deeper and deeper was working well, and he was sure they'd find Groudon soon. Maxie smiled. After that, they'd awaken the beast, and use it's weather abilities to cause a drought all over the world, evaporating the oceans!

    Galactic Building, Veilstone City, Sinnoh

    Cyrus walked into his office, and saw a report from his Admin, Mars. Good... the Boss of Team Galactic had been waiting for a reply from his Admin as to the result of the search for Mew. Cyrus was displeased with the report, which said that they'd spotted Mew once, but it had managed to evade them. Well, Cyrus didn't expect the creator of all Pokemon to be an easy catch... still, he wanted that Pokemon. Together with Palkia and Dialga, he could make a new universe in his image! Yes, he needed Mew to recreate the Pokemon, since they would inevitably be wiped out... the initial thought had made Cyrus frown, but that's when he'd turned to lore from other regions and discovered Mew. There was his solution to his problems... and a new problem in catching it. Oh, well... Cyrus had the patience for anything.

    Plasma Castle, Underground, Unova

    Ghetsis sighed as the crowning ceremony was complete. Now, his adopted son N was Team Plasma's King... and his puppet. They'd been plotting to take the Pokemon of Trainers for a while now, and now that Plasma had a King they trusted... they could begin. Ghetsis only half-listened as N launched into the speech of how most Trainers mistreated their Pokemon. Ghetsis had to hand it to the kid... he was very persuasive and charismatic. He looked over at the other seven Sages of Team Plasma. No one suspected that N was only a pawn in Ghetsis' game, but that was to be expected. Ghetsis was a skilled manipulator. The scientist Colress came up to Ghetsis, and whispered that he was heading for the Kanto Region to gather some supplies. Ghetsis nodded, signaling his permission. The Sage Rood looked over at the two, assuming that Colress had gone to the leader of the Sages, Ghetsis, since he didn't want to disturb the King. Colress smiled, setting out with some Grunts, ready to wreak some havoc.

    Unknown Location, Johto

    Ron Bison smiled. He'd just gotten back from a successful Pokemon theivery attempt, and now had more Pokemon for his grunts. He looked out the window to see Drake leaving with some Grunts. Curious, but not really caring, Ron signalled his allowance of the outing. He assumed that Bison was just out to round up more help... which Team Ultimate needed if they were going to oust the other Teams...

    Knoll sprinted through a large grouping of tall grass, Fang hot on his heels as they ran. "Come on Fang! We gotta move it buddy." They were running back home towards Viridian City, well actually Pallet Town but they were so close there really was no difference in traveling distance. He was going to visit his mom and go to Pallet town to see all the people gathering there. He knew they were in the middle of building some stage, his mom had sent her Chatot, Lou, to deliver mail to her son and updated him on almost everything she heard. He had just been in Cerulean City, training Miley and Chit when he got the news of the stage being built and all the famous people gathering together. He wanted to see them, the professors, a bunch of famous trainers and specifically Red. Red had been Knoll's idol since he can remember, he could remember being a kid and watching on TV when Red finally became the league champion and made Knoll want to be a gym leader himself. Red had only grown up in the town right next to his so for him to be a local hero made it even more of a big deal for Knoll, with this in mind he felt himself begin to quicken his pace. But he soon stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Fang barking, Fang never barked unless he was warning Knoll. As Knoll came to a stop, sliding on a dirt road outside of Pewter City and saw a large Graveler standing in his path. At first Knoll had thought it was just a boulder but obviously he had been wrong, dead wrong.

    "Alright Fang, we got shit to do so let's knock this bastard out and get moving again we can't be late. Got it?" The small dog barked in agreement and stood in front of his trainer, he growled angrily at the larger Pokemon. It had a type advantage but this Graveler didn't know Fang and not only that but they weren't really going to beat the thing until it passed out, Knoll just wanted past the damned thing. He snapped his fingers, something Fang understood without words and from there the dog leapt into the air, firing a burst of his Ember attack. The ground around the enemy Pokemon exploded as the small bits of fire slammed into Graveler, causing smoke to go up into the air and blind it momentarily. "Finish this shit Fang!" with that, Fang leapt into the smoke and Knoll could feel the power of his Take Down attack travel through the ground when he impacted the Graveler. The poor thing lost it's footing and rolled right down the edge of the cliff, wrapping itself up in a ball and leaving nothing but a dirt trail behind. Knoll leapt in the air and shouted out in victory before he patted his thigh, a sign for Fang to stick with him once more as he began to run. All he could think about was getting to Pallet town, he had to get there and see Red. He just had to but at this rate, he was unsure he'd make it.

    The Lilycove coast was cold and windy. As Leonardo stood in line outside of the harbor office, he sighed. He would give anything for the warm, humid weather of his home instead of this sharp, blustering cold. Inching forward in line, Leo reflected on his journey up to this point. After receiving the letter of challenge sent out by the world famous Pokemon champion Red, he had immediately begun packing his things. The next day he was kissing his parents and childhood home goodbye, on his way southeast toward the harbor town of Lilycove.
    It was about a days journey, through the forest of route 120, and along route 121, past Mt.Pyre. He had arrived in Lilycove the night before, and was now waiting in line for his ferry ticket. Only problem was, every trainer in north Hoenn was looking for a pass to Kanto, and one would have to get in line pretty early to even have a chance to board one of the first three ferries, all arriving in only a few hours. Luckily, Leo was one of there people. He had gotten up before dawn, thinking himself clever for getting the jump on getting a ticket. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one to get the idea. A line of easily two hundred people was already camped outside the ticket office.
    So here he was, after three hours of waiting and the sun greeting him with welcome warmth. It was almost his turn, and he was anxious to get going. The presentation in pallet town was in less than a week, and, if all went well, he would just barely get off the boat in time to catch it. After all, it would be totally worth it to get to see the greatest Pokemon trainer to ever live.

    Three days on a ship is no good for a forest boy, that's for sure. Leo laid in his bunk, his stomach gurgling. He had gotten over most his sea-sickness in the first day, but he still felt a bit nauseous, even now. He decided to get some air, so he traveled up onto the deck. The cool ocean breeze helped, and Leo took in the scene. While there were quite a few vacationers on the SS Penny, the majority of the passengers were trainers and the like. Leo looked around, seeing and hearing many people discussing pokemon; different favorite types, species, battle strategies, that sort of thing.
    Leo walked up to the railing of the boat, seeing a boy about his age and approaching him. He looked like a trainer, so he asked, non-chalantly;
    "Hey, you heading off the pallet town?"
    Leo leaned up against the railing, staring out to sea.

    Walking down the path to pallet town, Ada sighed feeling depressed. Two of her pokemon went missing; the eldest ones of her crew and she didn't have any lead as to where they went. One was stolen by team rocket while the other went off on it's own without her. "I swear, Victor is a piece of work..." She complained about her Feraligator. A large scale battle against team rocket caused her to lose two of her pokemon. It was a battle like she never had before, using all of her pokemon at once to keep each other safe. Even though her side was outnumbered, her team was stronger. But they still had numbers and they tried desperately to obtain her pokemon. During the confusion of the battle, her Milotic was snatched away and afterwards, Ada lost their trail.

    A bear paw poked her on the shoulder. Ada stopped walking and turned to look up at the towering Ursaring walking with her. Its expression was a concerned one. Probably worried about the other two pokemon as well as Ada's well-being. "It's fine Djhango. We'll probably get a lead while we're in pallet town and we can try again to find them." She spoke to her pokemon. She used the ursaring to try and sniff out where the team rocket members went, but the battle must have taken so long it was too difficult to catch their scent anymore. The bear pokemon nodded and the two resumed walking.

    As the two arrived in Pallet Town, they were shocked at how busy a normal everyday town could be. But this was because of one thing; The ultimate pokemon league. This was one of her others goals to complete, just to see if she could. It didn't really matter all too much to her, at least for right now since her mind was preoccupied with something else. Ada decided to find a nice empty seat at a table, passing by a few trainers and sat down. Djhango decided to stick nearby her and sat down at the same table, sniffing the air for something.

    Terry yawned sharply and leaned back against the trunk of the largest tree on the route, approximately across from the Day Care center. The road between Verdanturf and Mauville was his favorite spot to sit down and take a break. He dug into his back and got all four of his Pokeballs, letting everyone out at once. Alec layed down next to him, Jerry tried to climb the tree to reach Aaron on a higher branch, 'Tash just sort of looked around and Kira seemed to fall asleep, though meditation was more likely. He didn't fall asleep himself, rather stay awake and watch his group. He carefully petted his Espeon, who as usual enjoyed the attention.

    A few people passed by on the road, at least three he saw go in and out of the Day Care center. Most of them gave him a few suspicious looks, but he didn't feel up for any sort of challenge right now, so didn't bother to rise from his spot. Finally somebody got sick of his laziness.

    "Hey, you! you look like a Trainer." The boy had a red jacket on and a confident look. Like somebody on the League Challenge. "How many badges do you have?"

    "Zilch," he calmly replied, not really giving the Trainer a second look and going back to his team. "You?" Terry didn't know why he felt like he should clearly continue the conversation, maybe he was bored.

    "None? at all? what kind of Trainer are you? I've got four." The boy was clearly proud of being 50% done with his badge collection. He looked about ready to reach for his pocket and probably show off, but stopped himself. "Impressed?"

    Terry knew his calmness was throwing this guy off, it usually did. "Not really no." He could feel some tension in the air, as though this other trainer was insulted that he couldn't gloat. His suspicions were confirmed.

    "You're cocky, battle me then."

    And so it begins Terry thought with a start. "Fine," he rose from his comfortable position and most of his Pokemon moved around him, except one, which is exactly what he wanted. The four around him were fairly impressive on their own, all on their second stage of evolution, and in Alec's case, final. The other trainer didn't seem very impressed, fair enough. Without a word, he pulled out a Pokeball and released a Mightyena, clearly expecting the Dark Type to fare well against the two psychics he saw with Terry.

    Aaron hadn't been completely asleep through all this, instead hidden up in the tree leaves, clearly waiting for the battle to begin. Upon sighting the Mightyena, he got into a ready position. And Terry whistled.

    Aaron shot from the tree branch at a sharp angle like a raptor diving towards it's prey. He didn't need a direct order to know what to attack with, Quick Attack/Aerial Ace was how he started most battles. The wolf wasn't nearly fast enough to react, if he even saw the attack at all, to the other trainer, a green blur just came out of nowhere and slammed his Mightyena right away, knocking to the ground. Though not quite unconscious.

    "What the hell... That was dirty man!" Terry just shrugged. For the most part, his team didn't need direct orders, it kept the opponents on their toes and let each member of his party battle to their strengths. He had his own set of signals for general things, and of course they would follow explicit orders, but surprise was useful. "you might wanna end this... my Grovyle can be vicious." he replied in a completely neutral tone, as though it was a normal occurrence. (it was)

    Aaron stepped back a bit from the Mightyena and glared at the other trainer, all of Terry's Pokemon were watching eagerly, except Jerry, who by now had gone to roll in the grass behind him.

    "Return!" the red laser of the Pokeball wrapped around the Mightyena, securing it before it got hurt further. The Trainer seemed like he wanted to continue the battle, but Aaron's look told him anything else he sent out would get beaten as well, possibly worse. "What are you? an undercover gang member or something?"

    "...No. Just a Trainer enjoying a rest, that you rudely interrupted." Terry called back all of his Pokemon, putting four of them away and Aaron on his shoulder. As he got on his bike and started to go past the dumbfounded opponent, back towards Mauville, he had a thought. Going by at a slow pace, he dug in his bag and grabbed a bottle of soda from Slateport, it wasn't quite cool, but it stayed in his bag in the shade, so it was still drinkable. "Here, for your pup." He handed the bottle to the trainer and picked up his speed.

    "Hey! wait up!" Terry braked and half turned around. "You have skills I'm sure. You should really try the League Challenge! Or better yet, the New League Challenge!"
    Terry just gave an inquiring look, he hadn't heard of this new League.
    "The boat for it is arriving in Slateport tomorrow! Travel the world and hone your battle skills, you'd be good I bet."

    Well, I do like to show off from time to time... and I'd always wanted to see Johto... He mused, two of his Pokemon, Jerry and Alec, were Johto native. "I'll think about it."

    He left the other Trainer behind and biked home.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A day later, he arrived at the dock with his parent's blessing and a ticket. It helped to have Parents in the shipping business. He remained quiet as he waited through the line and got assigned his cabin number. If he'd looked around more, he probably would have seen his opponent from yesterday, but he wasn't in the mood today.
    Three days after that, he had met and exchanged some basic greetings with the trainer from before, though he didn't dare offer a rematch, Terry half hoped he would. Either way, he didn't find the voyage too bad. Though Natasha had to stay put away, a seasick Lairon was bad news. Around midday, heading back to his cabin from the deck after eavesdropping on a half dozen different battle related (and one Contest related) conversations, one other trainer, one of those social types, and around his age, was leaning against the rails and decided to talk to him.
    "Hey, you heading off to Pallet Town?"
    Aaron was giving this other trainer his usual mean glare, and started growling a bit even. Terry hastily grabbed his partner's muzzle. "Calm down Aaron, damn." he whispered. "Yeah, I am. Heard something about a challenge. Do we really have to start in Kanto though?" He was in a good mood and felt well enough to make conversation with this stranger. Though from what he heard large battles were forbidden outside of the special arena on the opposite deck.
    Sorta lacking motivation at the moment.
    Pallet Town, Kanto
    Things were nearing completion, as the stage was halfway assembled. Room was made as yet more Trainers entered. The set up crews had started setting up monitors and loudspeakers for those that were later to arrive. At once, a sudden surge of Trainers were moved out of the way, as Pallet's temporary dock was set up for the Trainers that were arriving from other countries via ferry.
    Route 15, Kanto
    "Return!" the Grunt recalled his Zubat. This Feraligatr he'd been sent to capture was tough. Well, let's see how it liked this next one! "Go, Magnemite! Thundershock!" the Grunt cried, releasing the magnetic Pokemon. The Feraligatr was hit with the attack, and the Grunt to the chance. He pulled out a net blaster, snagging the Feraligatr in it. He then pulled out a radio after securing the struggling Pokemon and returning his own Pokemon. "This is Lead to Recovery. Target is down. Repeat, target is down." the Grunt said. He watched as the Recovery Team grabbed the Pokemon, placing it into one of their choppers. The Grunt climbed aboard. Who knows, maybe he'd even be allowed stronger Pokemon after this success.
    Pallet-bound Ferry, Kanto Waters
    "The ferry is now arriving at Pallet Town. All Trainers who are here for the big meeting are free to go." The announcement came from the ship's captain. He was glad it was over too. Having so many Trainers on board could be stressful. The security officers were exhausted, having stopped many illegal fights on the ship. Unbeknownst to any Trainers on board, there were ten members of each Team Magma and Team Aqua on board, all dressed as normal Trainers. The two groups didn't know of each other (thankfully), and both left at separate times. No one even commented as first one group, then the other left Pallet Town, heading toward their destinations. The would all remain in disguise until they reached their targets.
    Leo chuckled a bit at the Grovyles reaction to him.
    "I think Red's speech is the main reason people are coming to pallet town. Afterwards I suppose we can start anywhere we want!"
    A voice cam on over the intercom, telling them that they had arrived, and that they would be let off the boat soon.
    "I've gotta go pack up my things. Maybe I'll see you around, ok?" Leo rushed off before the other trainer could respond.
    Leo navigated the large crowd that had gathered around the stage, looking for anyone he might know. Moosh and Looki followed close behind him, stretching their legs. Eventually, Leo found a good spot, and decided to let out his other pokemon.
    "Let's go! Nanna, Chic, Pooch, Toath!"
    Nanna stretched his wings and flopped to the ground, yawning. The other pokemon sat around the Tropius, and Leo leaned up against him, waiting for the show to start.
    Knoll leapt over the ledge and tucked into a roll when he hit the ground. Fang had simply leapt and landed gracefully, landing on all fours and sprinting. For once he actually managed to get ahead of Knoll causing him to snicker a bit before he went back to running again. A sign on the left caught his attention "Viridian Forest: Warning, Bug Pokemon exist beyond this point. Be cautious and bring the correct supplies to deal with this threat." Knoll snapped his fingers, and Fang came trotting back and stuck close by. Within this forest he could easily succumb to the swarms of bug Pokemon that lurk in here with their nasty stinging and poison attacks he could be in trouble, but Fang was a fire type and a tough one at that. Knoll felt safe but he wanted to be sure he was safe, so instead of running he and Fang walked through the forest.
    The thick overhead canopy blocked out most of the sun and he could see Fang's ears darting in all directions picking up sounds of every type of Pokemon in here. Bug Pokemon weren't too scary, they just attacked in swarms and if there was enough he'd probably have to bust out Brand or Chit, hopefully Brand wasn't in a mood of his or they could be in trouble. They continued to walk and saw various Pokemon going about their business. For once Knoll figured he'd finally get through this place without trouble something he'd never been able to do. But he spoke too soon, Knoll had been walking and looking to his left at a mass of Butterfree going from flower to flower when he felt something smack against the side of his face. A Kakuna fell at his feet and he blinked rapidly, and then he heard it. The intense buzzing as tens of hundreds of Beedrill lifted off into the air and took sight of their prey he had disturbed a nest and now he was going to pay. "Fang, Use Ember and hold them back we gotta run!" Knoll shouted standing his ground, he watched as Fang flung his head back and forth spraying a volley of his Ember at the Beedrill, a few exploded in a shower of smoke and ash and fell to the ground instantly unconscious. But there was too many, they aimed their stingers at Fang and before Knoll could tell him to watch out they sprayed a mass of Poison Stings in his direction riddling the poor dog who whimpered in agony. The attacks weren't too damaging but they were painful and Fang was clearly injured. Without even a thought, Chit was already out of his Pokeball on his own. "Good job Chit, thinking on your toes now use Sand-attack and then supersonic and let's get out of here!" With that, Knoll gripped up Fang in his arms and began to run, he looked behind him and saw a huge cloud of sand engulf the Beedrill and could hear the ear splitting sound of the Supersonic Chit had used. He could then see the bug turn back and extended his arm out, holding Chit's pokeball. A red beam connected to the bug and swallowed him up as the Beedrill flew around confused and blinded. They stung one another, stung other Pokemon and some just dropped to the ground. Pretty soon the confused Beedrill were being attacked by the Butterfree Knoll had seen, he assumed a stray Poison Sting had pissed one off. He didn't care to watch, he just wanted to get Fang healed up and get to Pallet town. That was when he could see the light of the exit and picked up the pace, charging straight out into the sunlight and could see Viridian City only a few minutes away.
    Knoll finally stopped as the Pokecenter's doors opened, revealing a smiling nurse Joy who looked more than happy to take Fang and heal the guy. She had told him that Fang would only need a little rest and it would take a few hours until he was in good shape. Knoll had decided to go to Pallet town without Fang and felt bad but he knew Fang wouldn't want him to miss it because of him, the dog would feel guilt forever after that. Knoll stopped by his mother's house and convinced her to come with him to Pallet town, to see what was going down. They walked together, only a little while and ended up in the center of Pallet town and could see all the workers building and more people than ever within the small town. Knoll had gotten a glimpse of Birch and Elm, he had already met Professor Oak but it was still nice to see him again. He kept looking around for Red, but it seemed like the guy was somewhere else he'll come out eventually once this show gets on the road. Knoll tapped two of his Pokeballs and allowed Chit and Brand to both come out and stretch, Brand just walked over to the edge of town and sat under a tree in a huff. "Still having a problem with him? Hmm maybe he'll grow out of it." Knoll's mother had said when she saw the thing cross it's arm and walk over. "Yeah, he's a good fighter though and he's my buddy he's just not always in the best mood I guess." He didn't like judging his Pokemon, they were his and he was proud of each one of them and their accomplishments. Knoll sat on the ground far off from the construction and began eating a lunch his mother had packed before they left, Chit chowed down on some food himself and even Brand came over for a bit to eat. They just sat off to the side of the town watching the building continue and chowing down on some delicious home cooked food.
    Eventually her eyes met another trainer's, one dressed in Karate garb. About a few seconds passed until a smirk when across his face and he started to walk over to her. "oh God, please leave me alone..." Ada thought to herself. Djhango noticed the trainer and he let out a sigh. "So, you know what they say when two trainer's eyes meet..." The trainer now standing next to her said. This time Ada sighed. "Don't you think this place is a little too packed for a pokemon battle?" She responded as she propped her elbow on the table, holding her head with her hand. "Even better! More audience to watch the battle!" Soon the other trainer cleared everyone nearby away from the spot to have enough space to battle; Ada and Djhango still sitting at the table watching. Djhango had a look on his face that he didn't really care to want to fight. The other trainers around them in the town watching. "Come on, let's just do it and get it over with... try to fake like you were knocked out or something." She told her pokemon as they stood up from their seats, moving to stand on the opposite side of their challenger.
    The karate trainer released his pokemon from one pokeball, and out came Hitmonchan. "Funny that you picked a trainer to fight against by seeing the type they have first." Ada glared at the trainer, referring to the type advantage he had over her. She really didn't want to make Djhango fight right now, considering the recent events that happened. "Sorry, but I don't do single battles." She added as she started to walk away when he pulled out a second pokeball, releasing his Hitmonlee. Sighing, she facepalmed. "Fine, have it your way!" She called back as she threw out a pokeball herself, releasing her Gardevoir: Ridelle. The trainer's smirk left his face.
    "Hitmonchan! Use pursuit!" He yelled as he pointed to Ridelle. "Protect!" Ada said to her own team. The Hitmonchan dashed with fists raised. Djhango was faster and stood in front of Ridelle with his arms crossed in front of him, using protect. As the hitmonchan hit his arms, Ridelle behind him used Psyshock and blasted the hitmonchan away from Djhango. It went down in one move pretty quickly. Ridelle smiled a little bit while Djhango placed a paw on his head and shook in disapproval. Gritting his teeth, the other trainer recalled his pokemon, leaving the hitmonlee to fight on it's own. Without his command, the hitmonlee rushed its way to Djhango, using its move double kick hitting him in the stomach. He growled in response before shoving the other pokemon away and digging down into the ground. Ridelle was starting to show a bit of anger in her face and waited a minute before attacking. She aimed for the hitmonlee, attempting to hit it with psyshock. The move made contact and knocked the hitmonlee away, but was still conscious as it held a Focus sash. As it flew back, Djhango popped out of the ground, caught the hitmonlee and slammed it down the hole he just dug. The bear pokemon backed away from the hole to await if the hitmonlee would come back out. It didn't. The battle finished and the audience cheered, probably wasn't the first battle of the day in the town but it got the other trainers' blood flowing.
    The Karate trainer had a look of embarrassment on his face as he called back his fainted pokemon in the hole. Ada walked up to him. "Serves you right for trying to pick a fight with someone you assume you have an advantage over." She barked with her hands on her hips. Turning around to walk back to her pokemon, she flaunted her walk. Djhango had a frown on his face while Ridelle was laughing at him. "What's wrong?" Ada asked her pokemon. The bear Pokemon lowered his paw and pointed to the large foot imprint stamped on his body. Ada covered the grin that showed on her face while Ridelle started to laugh even harder. "I'm sure that will go away really soon... don't worry about it... sorry I made you fight..." She was giggling as she walked back to the table she originally sat at with her pokemon; Ridelle laughing and Djhango frowning, rubbing the foot that marked his body with his paws.
    Alex walked off the ferry, dressed in a an dirty sailor uniform. By carrying a few crates out from the lower decks as he did so, no one would ask him too many questions or look too closely through his disguise. See, you needed a ticket to get on or off the boat, but getting one meant arriving early at the port over in Slateport, which he utterly failed to do. Not having so much as a bike for moving around will make that happen to you. So, in lieu of going through official channels and possibly missing the chance to make it in time to Pallet town, Alex opted to stow away as one of the ships staff. Not hard considering it was a fairly large boat, and it worked surprisingly well. He constantly changed disguises, staying under the radar for the duration of the journey.
    And so, before anyone could notice him, he'd been long gone, changed into his usual, gambler-looking clothes and walking into the now bustling pallet town. He let his Skitty run off, giving it some freedom to go out and explore. Good to give his favourite a little room to breathe, and they'd been so long together that he knew she'd be back in time for supper. He picked out an empty table from and sat himself down, thinking of what to do next. He looked towards the stage under construction, all the work going into getting it done by the end of the day, and for a moment he wondered if there was anything worth stealing. He quickly dismissed that thought, knowing it'd be more trouble than it'd be worth. The best things would be under tight security in Oaks lab, and stealing from that man was unthinkable; he had plenty of respect for the professor.
    Then an arrogant martial artist thought to pick a fight in a table not too far from him. He stood up to wacth, but it didn't last long as the poor guy got wiped. One psychic type settled the odds in favour of the lady, rolling up the mans all fighting-type team rather effortlessly. Rather boring to watch such one-sided battles, but it was better than nothing. "Might be worth it to keep an eye out for her," he figured, smiling a little in her direction. Sitting back down, he discretely released his Duskull, letting it silently blend into his shadow, as he expectedly awaited for the event. Whatever happened next, was definitely going to be fun to watch.
