Weapon: (Captains only. Spear Is good against cav but poor against sword, sword is good against spear and poor against cav and cav is good against sword but poor against spear. Cav have spears.)
side note on the ability. Think of what your role is and work it like that, a Tactician could call an ambush (Ill go into that later) an arrow volley (archers and stuff will be explained later) order a cavalry charge, a tactical retreat and all other tactics stuff. Captains will have a more physical effect with their abilities, such as raising their troops morale (explained later) or lowering the enemies. Reducing damage or increasing damage from an attack with good formation or simply outright killing a set number of troops in the platoon. Merchants won't have any battle field abilities but will affect market prices and such. Abilites can either be passive or active, actives do more immediate damage but have a set cooldown, passives do not do direct damage as often but have no cooldowns and are always active. Troops and your character will gain experiences with fights and ranks, but won't suddenly procure new weapons because they ranked up, that needs to be done by you. Also extreme losses to a division may bump them down a rank depending on the troops used to refill the ranks.

Personality: Sean likes to help the helpless and save all the damsels in distress, if only to get in bed with said damsels which gets him into a lot of trouble a lot of the time. He dislikes honorable things such as killing the innocent or the unarmed and stealing from the poor. He is usually a calm person but has no problem punching someone if they boast about misdeeds they have done. He teaches his men about his own morals and has no problems punishing the ones that steal or start fights without provocation. However he doesn't hold grudges outside of the punishment and treats everyone fairly.

I would like to know more about the Tactician, because if it is what I think it is, the character I have in mind would fit perfectly with it.
The more you learn, the more you know, the more you know, and the more you forget. The more you forget, the less you know. So why bother to learn?
Well the Tactician oversees a battle and uses his noggin to bring about victory. He doesn't take an active part in the battle but rather plays the battlefield as a person would play a game of chess. Opposed to the Captains abilities, the Tacticians are less instant, he can have ambushes and traps to push the battle in his advantage rather than Charges and arrow volleys of the Captain.
Let me know if I have everything right. You didn't really go over abilities much, so I just made one up that seemed fair.

Personality: Cyrus does whatever it takes to win. Practicality over sentimentality. Victory over honor. His analytical mind is capable of taking in the battlefield and the flow of battle and react accordingly. His tactics can easily be considered ruthless, such sending a small group of men to their deaths to distract from the main force. He isn't above using his opponent's sense of honor against him, bringing civilians on the field as human shields, or disguising his own men as civilians so they can get close enough for a surprise attack. That being said, he loathes killing without reason and he sees children as innocent and not to be touched, if it can be helped. Cyrus does not take defeat well. If a battle is going poorly, he may begin to act rashly, giving out orders without much thought. However, he is a coward at heart, he covers himself up to avoid being recognized. If his life is in danger, he does not hesitate to retreat. He avoids conflict if at all possible, although he doesn't hesitate to send his men to do the fighting for him.

Ability: Ruthless Aggression - Upon a successful ambush or flanking maneuver, Cyrus gains +1 to attack rolls.

The ability is good, its a bit more like a Captain's one but you can have it if you want.

Personality: Prefers to fight honorably and prefers not to strike down enemies that cannot defend themselves. In battle He Prefers to be on the front lines with his troops fighting as much as possible. In his eyes tacticians are almost as worthless as peasants in a war. Alexander finds retreating to be very cowardly and would rather fight to the last man unless the battle is beyond his capabilities of bringing it to favor him instead of his opponents. If Alexander considers someone he fought against a honorable match than he will 'spare' his life what ever is left of it at least. Disliking unfair advantages he tries to avoid any unfair ways to win as said before he prefers to fight honorably and that is a in his mind full on blood bath. Even though he prefers a blood bath he hates seeing his troops die around him if he sees that they weren't able to live a decent life full of war. Not caring too much for ranged troops he does find them to be very helpful in war so he will put up with them but the bulk of his army is preferred to be mainly infantry and Calvary. Besides that off the battle field he acts almost the same and will never back down from a challenge even if he odds arn't in his favor. He tries to treat everyone around him as he would his own troops.

(if i'm not mistaken weapons and Armour for troops and Captains work the same way? If anything is bad or wont work well tell me and i can adapt)

Well, considering how much morale you could lose if your opponent rolls a 6, I would say 10% is to low, try 30%.
Also, that is something I am going to add, the Captain and his influence on the battle field.
