Just going to put a few details here for starters as my time is a bit limited tonight. Should be able to focus on the history and the weakness/strengths tomorrow evening, and I may have a few questions regarding the history section. I will be attempting to do another double for this one as well.
➣ General Information:
● Name: Rin Sakei
● Age: 24
● Gender: Female
● Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
● Online Alias: Crimson
➣ Online Breaker Appearance:
➣ Offline Appearance:
➣ Weapon (REVISION):
Crimson's staff is really nothing out of the ordinary aside from one such important enhancement; the power of fragmentation. What could that possibly mean for any of her potential opponents? Only a precarious degradation of system performance, of course. If such a stylistic strike were to happen to be successful, her adversaries would, in essence, slowdown or even encounter irrecoverable errors, leading to significant malfunctions.
There is one subtle difference in how such a weapon has been chosen to be used. Unlike a normal staff of magical qualities, she relies on her agility to come in direct contact with an adversary. She prefers a dancelike approach to her movements when within a close range, until the head of the staff strikes its intended target, much more like a blunted pole arm. The harder she is able to strike the more effective her weapon can truly be. For every hit will in effect cause a varying degree of data fragmentation.
If she can only graze the surface, only the very outlying data will receive damage. On the other hand, if she is able to strike full on, there is a high probability of damaging crucial system functions. If multiple strikes find success, the effect is compounded, leading to potentially crippling errors and resulting in various malfunctions. Now, if the staff is not in her possession, this whole scenario is simply impossible to accomplish. That would basically leave her vulnerable to any attacks and would impede her ability to fight physically.

➣ Earlier History (ADDITION):
Living within the heart of Tokyo had its opportunistic advantages; Rin’s father and mother already knew if the possibilities, earning a respectable living. But for a simple girl, what did this great city hold for her? For one thing, going to school was of major importance, and a key to success in her rightful mind. Outside of her studies, however, what was Rin to do? There had to be some sort of extracurricular activity she could absorb herself with. There was one she grew a strong attraction to. How about gymnastics?
Besides, what else was she to do to take her mind off of all of that relentless course work? Fairly athletic, she began her trials, putting forth every effort to be successful. Truly passionate, she continued onward with gymnastics, being rather accomplished at that, and even retaining a few lasting friendships. It wasn’t until her final year did she gain a greater attention and a fan base, not simply for her group participation, but primarily for her solo routines, which won her multiple honors. Her perseverant motivation stemmed from the watching of past years Olympic athletes. She would never make it to such an event, but she was satisfied nonetheless with what she had already accomplished.
As with the change in the times she had never given much thought to a particular interest into a lasting career, just insignificant personal activities. No matter the book, the music, or anything else, she found great inspiration. College years brought on the many deeper questions which desired answers. Her mother, a well known reporter, got to see many things Rin could only admire, and her father, an experienced software engineer, did things she could only wonder. Truly wishing to understand each side, she followed her parent’s footsteps for a time, gathering the best of both worlds. It was from this point on that she fully embraced the technological world to fulfill her future desires.
➣ Recent History:
To understand what life was without the DgtWld seemed unfathomable to believe in this day and age, let alone what it was like to even encounter a world that wasn’t so highly absorbed in technology. For Rin Sakei, her very existence has been surrounded by questions that eagerly awaited answers pertaining to the lifestyle choices of those around her, including herself. With technological sophistication abound, what could possibly be left to creation? The possibilities seemed entirely limitless. It was with these strong desires to not only keep up with the world, but to understand what all of this meant in the grand scheme of things that has kept her motivated.
With the world at her fingertips, not only was the opportunity to explore the world from a single room possible, though to catch a glimpse of what went on behind the scenes of the DgtWld proved to be more than anything Rin had ever imagined. With her experienced father taking hold of a major software engineering position, access was only but a few clicks away. Seizing full advantage of an opportunity not be missed, she remained close to her father’s work, learning as much as her mind could assimilate at once. Not that the DgtWld was fascinating enough, her curiosity demanded much more. What did it take to successfully develop any piece of technology, no matter how simple or complex? And yet, what kind of effect did it have on an individual or even a society for that matter?
Just watching her mother on the news as an acclaimed reporter spurned on her attachment to take her studies along an Ecological route. An entire world, both digitally and physically, was free for further exploration. Not only did she wish to research these natural environments, Rin wished to achieve much more, seeking to replicate these habitats. Combining her knowledge from a few courses at the university level and a few beneficial pointers from her father, she pursued the art of crafting digital constructs, whether they were a being of artificial intelligence or an interactive environment.
With the additional help of a few NHax members, she gained access to even greater territory, for which she obtained at no monetary cost to her. As with the decreased numbers of Hackers, there was simply no need to hold onto the resources that would otherwise sit by the wayside. That was not all Rin would acquire, for another of great interest reached out to her. Sheen was his name, or at least that was his alias. Willing to fund her research for an undisclosed value without repayment, she reluctantly agreed. What kind of businessman was this Sheen and what form of repayment would he actually demand.
No matter how persistent, he would not reveal any such insignificant matters. A project name for her research was all he asked. "Any name in particular?" she would inquire. "Anything at all," he would reply. Rin eventually found satisfaction with Terra Digitalis. With the announcement, everything was in order. What exactly? She could only speculate on the matter, knowing absolutely nothing of significance. Working tirelessly for what appeared to be for nothing but her enjoyment, an unexpected offer was presented before her, which would use her own talents to the very limit. Once again, Sheen presented the details as vague as absolutely possible.
So, to her best of knowledge it was her job to create scenarios and artificial beings to entertain this Sheen fellow. For what reason would he be attempting to do such fruitless things? Was this out of pure amusement, or was there something of importance behind all of this? Following along, while attempting to give little thought to a reason, she kept at it. Rin would continue to find herself in an endless loop; she would create and he would destroy. So many occasions did he infuriate her. She just couldn’t figure what purpose these trials could possibly serve.
He would always attempt to reassure her, and push her to keep going. Practice makes perfect, it appeared. Holding no ill intent, Sheen proved to be the unlikely mentor, training her own skills at creation and manipulation, enhancing her ability to analyze and adapt to challenges. Unbeknownst to her, Rin’s digitally documented reports were under the watchful surveillance of the Gvn. Would Rin truly make a successful Breaker, or would she fade away like all of the others, Correctors and Hackers alike? One certainly wouldn’t know until they gave an individual a chance to prove themselves.
An unexpected invitation had been received; Rin was overjoyed by an accomplishment. How and why of all people was she even considered? Was it Sheen who played a part in the selection process of candidates? Bringing word around to Sheen, he couldn’t have been more delighted for her. But no, he had not a single thing to do with her new position. He may have had a hand in placing her research within a certain major security division under his father’s company, but that was really nothing at all. An internship was all this ever was and a means for Rin to simply do what she enjoyed.
As with the advancement of her career, a higher workload seemed only right. All of her previous work was a cakewalk, and Sheen would not allow her to slack in any way. So, he held high expectations of his partner. The world would indeed hold higher expectations than he, so she had best be prepared. To this day, she has kept her promise to fight on for the betterment of the many people of the world, and the preservation of its remaining natural beauty. For Rin, being a Breaker goes far beyond popularity.

➣ General Information:
● Name: Akio Kimura
● Age: 26
● Gender: Male
● Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
● Online Alias: Sheen
➣ Online Breaker Appearance:
➣ Offline Appearance:
➣ Weapon (REVISION):
To believe that Sheen’s sword is nothing more than what it appears would be an understatement; beneath its magnificent radiance, there hides a skill, for which serves only but a creative outlet for the most curious of minds. To encode an ordinary sword with viral partitioning software may prove completely unnecessary, but that matters not in the mind of the creator. To simply attack with a sword is not quite enough, and much more is desired.
When attacking with the sword the wielder has the opportunity to initiate the corruptive software upon the adversary. If Sheen makes a direct strike, and is able to expose the defenses of another, the infiltration can begin. Only if the wielder wishes to use the program will it go into effect, and even then the defenses must be lowered enough to successfully invade another’s system. If the overall security is found vulnerable, the software will begin creating partitions upon partitions, restricting the ability to fully function. For each partition that is created, compounding the problem, the system will further continue to overwork itself as it attempts to go around these artificial walls.
In most cases this will just lead to the inability to function properly, while the core of an individual system has been mostly unaffected. There is one important thing to note, this is highly experimental and is rarely effective; Crimson’s ability is far more reliable. This wasn’t something he initially intended to create, but he wished to go beyond the norm. Even still, this is only a sword after all, for one single purpose at all. Just attack and get it over with the general mentality. No sword in hand? Just have to deal with it and get creative. Not as if Sheen has anything else to use.

➣ History:
For Akio Kimura, without the DgtWld, there would certainly be a bit more boredom to spread around. Not to mention the increased prevalence of the business world. The only positive out of the whole deal was the comfortable lifestyle such a career choice can have. There was no doubt in his mind, both his mother and father wanted Akio to follow in their footsteps and continue within the family owned business. The Tokyo Stock Exchange wasn’t quite the perfect placement for him. Sure, he could do all the requirements to be a businessman, but there just wasn’t that excitement that held his curiosity quite like the DgtWld. Money matters, they were indeed what the world ran on, but even so, there was no connectivity to the world around them.
Numbers and figures continued to relentlessly overshadow the unique faces of the people. A healthy economy was important, to say the least, and job opportunities were essential, but there was still an uneasy inkling of unnecessary greed. Desiring to satisfy his parents’ wishes, he kept himself in a rather low key position well under his skill level. Besides, how else was he to find the time to actively partake in a few unrelated digital activities much more exciting? Where else could he be with other like minded individuals striving to be more than the status quo?
There was one good prospect of working in a security and intelligence firm - the access to greater technology was the greatest asset. Taking it upon himself, Akio strived to go behind the scenes and get in on the real action. Attempting to keep his real passion a secret, he held conversations with fellow workers - the ones responsible for the actual development of numerous security programs. Working two jobs had grown rather tiresome, but Akio had every intention of pleasing both sides. At least until his father caught word, unsurprisingly.
To realize the meaning behind the lack of effort an individual put forth, choosing to place oneself willingly into a job under one’s true worth was all that was necessary. Completely understanding, his father left the offer open for him to return to the financial side of business if he so chose to change his mind. Akio didn’t give up on the business world, just decreased his time of dedication. Collecting even more freedom to pursue his own career path, he made significant strides in learning the ins and outs of the DgtWld, extending himself to the limits at any opportunity to do so. With familiarity becoming a beneficial tool, he remained one of the best, surpassing his fellow comrades in command.
None of the tasks proved seriously difficult, accomplishing everything to the fullest of his capabilities. Finding little challenge in all of his previous work, it wasn’t until an anonymous project had been detailed to Akio did his eyes alight at the significance. The objective was to research and develop a new security program with the assistance of another. Akio, of all people was granted the opportunity, from the head of the company, to develop a useable and functioning security program. But where would he find a partner amongst all of the unqualified candidates? Not one of them had what he was looking for; all nothing out of the ordinary.
That was until he stumbled upon a familiar group of hackers he once associated with, amongst his free time. Just the thought of them giving this girl their very own resources was amusing to say the least. With curiosity peeked, Akio watched over her creations, fascinated at her ease of both her imagination and skill. With realization in his sights, he declared his interest to the girl named Crimson. No doubt this was too an alias, but it mattered not, she was an individual with a brilliantly expressive mind. Catching her attention, he provided an offer; one she ultimately took upon without even knowing anything at all.
Wasn’t as if he wished to keep her in the dark, her very own passion was too pure to taint with all of the depressing formalities involved. Instead, a simple name of her project was all he requested of Crimson. Terra Digitalis was a proper name, and easy on the ears. Akio would accomplish all of the hard work involved to not only get his name out there, but Crimson would also benefit just as well, if not more. It was true, those in his very own workplace were qualified enough, yet that was not what he sought after. His desire was to not only find one with the credentials, but one who would benefit the most from successfully completing this project of theirs.
It was for this very reason that he pushed her to the limits of her own mentality. To pressure her into redoing the same tedious tasks would only prove crucial for the final project as those unwanted kinks would have already been worked out. No matter the lengths Crimson went to find out the truth he would never budge, knowing that it may indeed be what would unravel her passionate abilities. There was no way for sure how beneficial their training would actually prove to be.
That was when the Gvn intervened and proposed the Breaker status upon Sheen; the same moment in which he accepted the position. Of course, he would speak no word of it to anyone for the time being. Crimson would never hear the title as this could be too much intimidation for her to handle. There was already a tremendous amount of pressure upon her. In reality, she was doing more work than he could ever do. To create took much more than to destroy. Through it all, the day he waited to hear since both started this project, brought forth another familiar sense of accomplishment.
Congratulating Crimson on her Breaker status, Akio felt relieved, realizing he had done his part to help fulfill her dreams, even if it was just a start of events to come. As long as she continued to hold herself with great passion, she would certainly go as far as she could carry herself. He would be there for her when necessary. I mean, it was only natural as they were partners after all. Above all else, being a Breaker had given Akio a peace of mind.
