Suddenly realizing why most artists use a tablet

Using a mouse pad is sorta difficult.

    Yes, yes it is

I've only recently started trying to art again, and even though it's sprite based, it's still hard to get precise control, and I have to take my time. Fortunately, the small bits over and over work well with sprites because stroke style ultimately doesn't matter. I'm sure if I was doing anything else, it'd like choppy as shit.

What would using both a mouse and a mouse-pad be considered?

Still hard, but maybe not as hard (depending on what the surface was you would otherwise be using said mouse on).

... Part of me wants to tell you to draw what makes you happy, but the other part of me wants to slap you. Your choice.
