This is where tact and honesty come into play. Say what you mean, but do it nicely. We are good at sniffing out people who are fake and punish them for it. Be yourself, not how you think you should act to fit in.

Well, sometimes I don't have much tact, but, I like being honest. I really don't care about fitting in either. It's just a subsection of an online community. The people here don't know me, really. Besides, I don't post much here anyway.

But see that is the problem. Not the not caring about fitting in. I don't care if I fit in. People take me as I am, but respect will go a lot farther than sharp words with most people.
