We've certainly come a long way from discriminating against the Irish to wanting to be Irish over the past couple hundred years, I gotta say.

Also, I never got why St. Patrick's day became huge everywhere and it basically turned into Irish appreciation day. Not to say I don't enjoy it or the Irish, it's just one of those things that's just always been that I could never figure out.

Either way, you bastards all better be wearing green and making hilariously bad accents today, green beer is optional because if it weren't for whiskey, the Irish would have taken over the world.

I'm partially Scottish and British.
And I slept for the majority of St. Paddy's Day.
But on the good side, my ma made a St. Paddy's Day Beer Cake...which I intended to make before I passed out...It was divinely good.
