Hobo Story [Cave Story inspired/based roleplay]

NOTE:I am used to Roblox forum roleplays, so this roleplay will use Character Sheets.
----STORY----
---THE JEWEL---
There is a city known as Grand Cap. There is a little-known secret about this city, and that is that there is a jewel underground that can give the holder infinute power.
A miner found this jewel in the 1980's. However, the power overcame him and he started dying. Many called hospitals, but when they all came they were too late. His last words were "Tell my wife I love her...."
---BOY---
Ten years ago, the miner's wife gave birth to a child. They were very poor and could only afford him yellow pajamas and a blue cap. She died of old age one day after naming the child Boy. Boy, who was then five years old got extremely worried and ran off to a local orphanage.
---HOBO---
There is also A homeless man named Hobo. He has the most tragic life of anyone who lives in Grand Cap. When he was born, his mother just put him in a cardboard box with a photo of her. He lives in this box to this day. Not as long as the story of Boy, but much more tragic.
---THE DOCTOR---
And remember about the jewel? Now, A mad doctor is trying to steal it by drilling it off of the ground and making the entire island He has an underground base which has cut off all communications [like cell phone broadband]. Both of our protagonists are off to save the world.

Our two protagonists, Hobo and Boy, will soon meet. But first, we must focus on Hobo.

----RULES----
1. If you want, you can re-use a character or two or whatever amount you used in a previous roleplay you participated in.
2. No godmodding.
3. You must have up to three main characters and any amount of other characters. This is for the final part of the roleplay. I am not spoiling it now.
4. If a change to your character happens in the roleplay, go to the post with your character sheet in and make a second one with the change in it. Name your first one the original character sheet, and if other changes occur in the roleplay, edit the second character sheet instead of making another one.
5. If you are a fan of Cave Story [the game which this roleplay is inspired by], you can use any characters inspired by Cave Story or a Cave Story OC or FC.
----ROLEPLAY----
Hobo

I woke up suddenly to the sound of a big engine, to find that the whole city had been floated up. I heard a pipe and got out of the box I called "home" to see a giant claw burst out of the ground and take it. The hole was covered up by a metal trapdoor with a password system. I became incredibly worried, and was stood there, frozen.

*CHARACTER SHEET*
Name: Terph
Age: 23
Occupation[like a job, or the nemesis of one of the characters, or being a student]: Fellow Hobo, was a mechanic
Role [i.e hero, side villain, doctor minion]: Hero, I guess. Mainly tags about with Hobo.
Backstory: Terph was a mechanic as a teen. Being small and wiry, he could get where others couldn't. During a routine day at work, though, his arm was crushed by an engine block. Now, after not being to work and falling into debt, he lives in a box at the side of a road. A sometime tag along mate of Hobo's, he's up for any adventure.

The city lifted, and I staggered out of my little cardboard shelter. "Oi? What's goin' on?" Spotting the trap door, I bit my lip. Random bits of metal and computer chips were often ominous signs.

Hobo

A fellow homeless man came out of his shelter, asking what was going on. "Some mad guy lifted the city up". Then, I saw a blue and yellow thing out of the corner of my eye. It was a child rushing through the streets to the trap door. He entered a password and said "This is for Amy..." and jumped in. He left the trap door open. "Somebody opened it! Let's jump in." I said.

Boy

I had full courage and the locket Amy gave me five years ago. I was still angry at that Doctor guy who kidnapped her. I knew the password, because I had stolen a few books that Doctor guy had and the password was in one of them. I entered it and muttered "This is for Amy..." and jumped in.
