Maya met the morning with a groggy start, drool pooling at the corner of her mouth. When her eyes opened, they refused to stay as such. She gave a great big yawn and rolled over. Only to fall unceremoniously on the floor. She slowly rose up, rubbing the back of her head as she climbed back onto bed. It was only when she was on top that she realized that she needed to wake up for... whatever it was that she had to do in the morning at this school. She never did manage to get a schedule yesterday so she had no clue what was going on or where she needed to be. It wasn’t like she was given much instruction back home either. Get on board this plane and show up at camp. She shook her head vigorously, ruffling her hair. The day had just begun.
Maya hopped off and made the bed, took a quick shower and changed into something more respectable for the outdoors. She searched through her bag, wondering what to dress in for the day... Oh. This will do. She pulled out a goldspun paisley halter dress, with silver and white patterns dancing all across the fabric. The dress was cinched under the breasts with a wide white band, which was tied into a ribbon. After putting it on, she whirled around like a dervish, her bare feet shuffling lightly on the hard wood as she danced around the cabin, picking up things like a whirlwind. She gathered some basic school supplies, (pencils, paper) as well as her calligraphy set and collected them in a bag. She made her way to the door, donning a pair of shades en route, and put on a pair of yellow heels as she headed out.
But Maya had no clue where to go. The only place she’d been to was the cafeteria, so she decided to go there. There might be breakfast, and if there was breakfast then that meant people, and people meant help. She shouldered her bag and headed off.
