Today was the day.
At eighteen and a half years of age, Rowena Celestine Layfaire was of course at marrying age. As the princess it was even strange that she had not got married earlier. But now it was happening. Of course the girl was nervous. She was marrying some young man that she had never met. The Prince the neighbouring kingdom they were marrying to seal an alliance between their parents. That was how life worked. For Rowena was her parents only daughter and not in line for anything, due to the fact that she had three brothers both older and younger.
So here she was, the ceremony about to begin. It was far from the traditional one in the place they lived, taking place within the castle of her soon to be husband's parent's rather than within the church (well outside the church door) like most normal marriages.
The person she was to marry was already in there, probably being blessed by the priest or whatever they did. Rowena bit her lip, not so much as glancing at the escort that would take her in. Her flame coloured curls had been scraped back into a bun formed of braids, two strands left loose at the front. Her dress was white and blue in colour, layer and constricted as it fell down just past her ankles. She wasn't fond of dresses as it was, this was just so much worse.
Then the time came. The doors were opened and the entered, walking down towards the raised area where the priest and the Prince, who would soon be her husband, stood. Rowena kept her green eyes locked in front of hair. Emotionless, that was the mask she tried to hold. Tried to be perfect. The perfect princess, the perfect daughter.
They reached the raised platform. So it began, the wedding ceremony.

(I totally didn't look up Medieval weddings for any of that :P I'll post the info I sort of used on the OOC thread.
I would suggest that we just skip over all the vows and that xP Because I don't really want to look them up and all that)
