People from other countries have this huge beef with Americans talking about our ancestry. IDK why, they think it's inappropriate or w/e. They don't understand it's kind of a cultural thing since we were always a melting pot, unlike some of the other British colonies.
Its no big deal really...I've just discovered that over the years when I've mentioned that I am Irish to Americans, they say that their father or their granny or their so and so are irish (I've rarely come across americans that said otherwise.) But I find it understandable since Irish migrated by the boatload to America during the famine or some shit.

One thing I like about Ireland are Leprechauns. They rock. Leprechauns are good beings.
