oh also he's been doing it since before 2009 and everything he did/said in the BBC series was in line with his personality up to that point. So either he's a super genius who went the extra mile to be utterly convincing without any inconsistencies, or he's a dumb kid like I said and you should take my word for it that I know what I'm talking about.

It's extremely simple to pretend to be dumb. Pre-emptive strike against whoever might think about turning that statement against me.
But if it is legit, then it's the parents to blame, not the kid.
Up to a point. He's in his early 20s now. It's willful ignorance now.
And it's not simple to do it to the extent he has, unless he's just...simple. lol
It is, actually. All his life he's been getting attention for it, good and bad, but either way it's rewarding him. The behavior has been reinforced, and after a while it would just become habit and he would no longer even have to try, and since he's been getting off on it really well, he's not likely to change anytime soon.
