The Keys of Time OOC

In case you all haven't noticed, my name is Rose Swan and I am the GM of this roleplay.

Rules

My rules are fairly simple and basic, but if you break them, expect to be kicked out of the roleplay, and reported to a mod if these break the rules of the site.

• Treat each other with respect.
• No godmodding.
• Respect the GM. I have plans, and if someone strays from them without my permission, I will not be a happy camper.
• No magic, insanely powerful weapons, etc. This is set in Earth's historical timeline, and Earth clearly lacks magic. Time travelling was created through science.
• Don't kill other characters.
• Post at least a paragraph with decent grammar.
• Feel free to have romance, but have sex in PMs if you go that far. That's not just me, that's the rules of the site.
• Feel free to pipe in with opinions on whatever historical places/times you'd like to visit. I'm happy to hear them, and I actually might like them. This is your roleplay too, and I don't want to be a tyrant here.
• Mention if you're going to be away for a while or dropping the RP. I'd like frequent posts, but I know that not everyone stalks the site from their phones like I do.
• Feel free to chat in the OOC. I'd like to know how your day was, what homework you're putting off, etc. These little things form bonds.
• Mention the name of your favorite song to show you have read these rules and agree to them.

Setup

This roleplay will begin in 2013 with a newspaper ad. The character(s) will answer the ad and go to the warehouse mentioned in the ad and find this:

People were asking in the interest check if you could have characters from different time periods... My answer is yes and no. The requirements are that you must have one from 2013, but you can have one helping out in a time period if that's what you wish. Like King Arthur's squire or something. We'll call them History Helpers. If you do that, you have to PM me about it and we'll discuss it while we're in that time period. You may also pipe in with a desired time period if that's where you want to go and make a character, I'm sure we can arrange that time period into the roleplay. Please mention your favorite movie to show you have read this section.

Remember, though we may have adventures through different periods, there still is a goal: Get the keys. There are six of them. But some places will be sort of dead ends. There will be clues.

No need to be too detailed on the character sheets, because really I don't care for them, but this is for the convenience of others. This is for the main companions. The History Helpers from the time period will send in a request and have to fill out a different sheet. It must be cleared with me and we must have established we are going to that time period first before you send one in and I have to have granted you permission to make the sheet. Please make sure that everyone has a turn being History Helper who wants to be one before you make another one in a different period. Bio: Benjamin is from the year 2135, an era with a tyrannical dictator as a leader of the world. Benjamin led a rebellion against the tyrant in an attempt to free his world from the cruelty, and was caught. Rather than just putting him to death, the dictator essentially put him on house arrest in his ship White Eagle after his codename in the army. The device they used to keep him there will explode if he leaves the ship, and can only be unlocked if he has six keys, now scattered throughout Earth's history. After spending five years developing a time machine similar to the one The Dictator used to scatter the keys with some help from his friends who managed to escape capture, he finally got it to work and is now hiding in a warehouse in 2013.
