Kristina "Kris" Vollified

Dragon

Not only is Kris an only child, but she is the youngest of her species. Therefore, her parents tried their best to keep her safe within their home constantly maintaining a human form and keeping her heritage a secret – for while dragon’s blood will sell for a pretty price on the black market some individuals dedicate their lives to finding a dragon’s heart. Her parents also instilled the expectations that she would one day carry on the family name and that it was her responsibility to prevent the extinct of dragons. While these were all good intentions, captivity is against the very nature of dragons, and Kris spent much of her childhood finding ways to sneak away from home. Now that she’s older, Kris can often be found walking around the city posing as a witch. She is most well known for her pride and arrogance. However, her greatest weakness would be her soft heart. For while she is strong and working magic comes naturally to her, she is willing to risk her life to help those who are weaker and in less fortunately circumstances.

Saren "Red" Crimson

Saren was one of the top doctors in this world. His methods for the way he did things were a bit...unusual but nevertheless, it was always needed. His knowledge was higher than anyone when it came to medical issues. He did not use magic because he thought he was one who wasn't blessed with a power like that. He used science and that suit him just fine. Not much is known about his past other than his talents were very prominent when he was very young and could take care of himself and family just fine without the need of a doctor. Where his intellect comes from, no one knows, not even the people that's close to him and he's not sharing. This talent carried him through his teen years, all work and never known the feeling of just living life. Unfortunately for him, this made him hard to approach for some people when he's really not like that at all. He may seem like a serious person but all he wants is for someone to treat him like everyone else and have fun, something that he skipped out on his childhood. He's a real people person and will always come to the aid of the people than the privileged, not that he doesn't like them but they can afford things most people can't. He doesn't require anything for his services and that's the thing that landed him in hot water. Many officials and private businesses began coming after him in order to use him but really they wanted to make sure that a "certain" business stayed in full swing. When he refused them, they took everything away from him, his status, his equipment, everything and even tried him for treason in order for him to never work anywhere again unless it was for the elite but he still refused. Since then, he "disappeared" for reasons unknown or that's what people seem to think and soon after that, it didn't stop people from making him a legend among the people and continue to search for him until this day.

From her window the city had always seemed mysterious and quite simple. It was a world that as a child Kristina had been forbidden to explore. Yet, no matter how many horror stories her parents had told her, she had found a way to escape her prison and explore the mysterious of the city. At first, the city felt like a paradise, full of kind people and so many alleyways, buildings, and trees to explore. The longer she spent outside of her penthouse, the more the city seemed to lose its mystery and its paradise qualities. As a child, she had known something was strange when her friends had gone missing. However, the severity of the situation had not sunk in until much later. Yet the terrors of the city had scared her away. In fact, the horror drew her closer and she did her best to help those around her, using the magic to better people’s lives.

While she brushed off most of the lore her parents had told her as a child – one think did ring true. It had been pure accident to stumble across the black market. She had just been exploring as she always did, for not too many people cared to know what a simple human was up to. The horror of the black market had not been what was for sell; it was how many customers resided in the market. Not only were the criminals and reneges running amuck, but those who possessed riches and power had also moved among the crowd. Never had she expected to see so many familiar faces, all of whom were unable to recognize that she was a Vollified. Perhaps she should have been somehow thankful at that point for being kept in the shadows for most of her life.

The discovery of the black market did not change anything, however. It had more support than she had ever expected and she knew that if she could just stumble upon it that the Triad was well aware about what was going on. So as a youth, there was nothing that she could. Yet, things were slightly different now. There was no way to destroy the black market – without causing an all out riot and chaos – so Kris had begun to find ways to use the market for her benefit. It was here, she could wander around and eavesdrop on conversations. She could figure out which children they were targeting next and perhaps save them. It was for this mission of eavesdropping that Kris was back in the black market today.

Kris walked down the sidewalk as she adjusted the hood of her jacket. This was no place for her to be. And yet, if she could help someone… perhaps all this would be worth it. Just as long as she wasn’t stupid enough to cause a war.
