If the board is correct it means we haven't scarely been looked at yet. No one browses the thread but me; the keeper, Miss Florence, is off somewhere polishing a letter B or some such nonsense, who can know. That leaves me alone in the stream, until HE comes back, but I don't suspect we'll see HIM for some time. This blankness..... my screen is a white void. Are me words placed in this page delibereately to stand against the emptiness, to fortify themselves and to become like walls of the castle that shall be my intellect? Or are my words 'placed' at all? Are they not drawn from my very mind by the immutable force of suction, that great white hungry vaccuum, pulling at my mind, tugging and wrestling with my own reservations. The shades seem to shift -- the emptiness of the page is black, my words a shining white light, a string of glowing pearls, produced from some hideous gland in the back of my skull, glob by glob, glowing and sharing and brilliant and now TORN away, wrestled. I grasp my head in terror to find that the dark pages have grasped the light inside my mind, and they now begin to pull, pull pull the orb strings, one by one. My nose begins to bleed, I gag, and cough blood, but the dark pages pulling and pulling, they drag the thoughts away from me. My fingers are limp claws robbed of energy, seeking purpose they cannot reach. THey comb my scalp, but the stream of glowing pearls is gone, torn away, stolen. There are holes in my head where the stories used to come out, but now they only belch and retch and smoke. They have taken me, these black pages, and I must get myself back or make myself again.

Mine. My belief is many things, but above all it is my belief. And yet.... the faith I have in God is a juvenile essay compared to the great volumes and tomes of faith that God has in me. For I was saved by grace while still I sinned; God chose to forgive even me, knowing who I am and what I would become -- a man without a mind. What was it that they took from me? If they were after some memory they've failed -- I am cogniscent as always of my surroundings, though perhaps the spelling cernter has been affected.I see more lines as I type, not knowing how I put that there. Is someone IN my mind, sypting these things, of have they simply changed me, and left a newer, lesser mind in place of the one they stole?
