"Wishful thinking or the thinking of someone who is far past caring anymore."
Thanatos watched her removed the old tattered hood, he could see the sadness there, perhaps the final end of it all is she didn't really care anymore to live in a desolate world always hiding away just to live. Thanatos could hardly do anything about that, he had been at a point such as this before. Back then it all was in front of him, the world was his play ground and he used it well. Being young had its advantages, no one was trying to kill you, you could breathe free air, an your care in the world was where you would end up next. But then just like that its all gone, like it was never there, just another fading memory in the loathsome darkness of hell. Thanatos put his hand to the scar on his neck, it still felt so real, like it was still open, his breath leaving him in bloody gags, yet he knew that it wasn't. Thanatos stood up ever so silently.
"If by my count my thirty minutes are up. Your secret... it is safe with me for as it can be safe. But he is coming, I don't know when he will be here. But I do know your not gonna be able to beat him. Not without the full control of your inner souls."
Thanatos slowly put his cloak back around himself as he covered his arms an upper body again. Picking up his swords he put them around his waist and tightened them and secured them. Thanatos turned for a split second, and when he turned back his true face was now gone an the face of a younger man was now his own. Pulling up his hood Thanatos walked over and picked up his mask. Slowly he applied it to his face. Walking to the door Thanatos stopped as he turned back to look at the young woman.
"My name is Thanatos, if your thoughts overwhelm and you find yourself looking for me. Follow the Morvaile road out of town, I reside in the only house out there. Best to keep that to yourself Rachel."
Thanatos opened the door and stepped out into the darkness of the alley. With a swish of his large cloak he was gone and the alley was empty.
