Alright, so Sins of a Solar Empire is on sale on Steam for about 7 USD, which excites me greatly. Unfortunately I have a problem, namely that my computer is a piece of shit.

My processor is .1 GHz below the minimum requirement, which I think might be okay, but the graphics are potentially a problem. I have a "Mobile Intel(r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" functioning as my graphics card, and the game requires an "AMD Radeon 9600 / Nvidia GeForce 6600 or Better."

Can anyone translate that to English and tell me if my graphics card is too shitty to run the game?

Mobile integrated graphics chips are designed to run the visual elements of an operating system and whatever most websites on the internet can display. They don't do videogames.

Let me be frank here: you don't have a graphics card. There isn't one present in your computer. What you have is a barebones chipset designed to make your computer function at the most basic level. It won't suffice, Foxes.

Run a magnet along your graphics card, electricity is magnetic so it'll polarize the pixels and will be able to run better.

I dunno, dude, Shogun 2 works fairly well.

That's surprising, considering that chipset is about comparable to a GeForce FX 5200, which is a videocard released 10 years ago.

As far as I can tell it can run things on minimum settings up until the minimum requirements of the Fall of the Samurai expansion pack. It went through a weird phase where it would refuse to run it, but at some point it stopped fucking around and it works alright now.
