One the animated statue entered and went past the first opening in the wall, the slits glowed brightly and a loud noise was heard, reminiscent of a cow mooing very loud. The bricks shot out as pillars before retracting, pummeling the statue many times until it crumbled into dust.

Urist flinched at the mooing sound, and turned back to see the lizard man following him. As it appears, the room was crumbling around him and his 'bold companion. It didn't look like there was much he could do, however, there was much he could do. "Ixenvis was it? Stop! On second thought, if you have an idea, I'm glad to-" Urist notices an animated statue being crushed by the falling pillars.

"On second though, RUN!" Urist sprinted his way to the side doors, attempting to open them with one hand, then calling the party to follow with the other.

Having had just reached the entrance to the corridor, Ixenvis could only behold with wide kobold-eyes how the corridor ahead broke into pillars, destroying the statue the shaman-smoking-skull-girl-hero had sent in earlier with her hero-magicks.

Shocked by the sudden realisation of the impending doom ahead, the small kobold came to a sudden stop in his tracks, just in time for the dwarf-fighter-tactician-bard-hero to fulfill his heroic and tactically sound advance into the opposite direction right past him, down the stairway towards one of the side-doors, which he then, with unendingly courageous resolve, attempted to open.

Casting another glance at the now-flattened statue in the corridor, Ixenvis quickly hobbled after the dwarf-fighter-tactician-bard-hero, his excited, if somewhat pain-choked, kobold-voice squeaking "Don't worry, hero! Ixenvis is coming to help!", his small kobold-hands seeking purchase on the dwarf-sized door as he tried to give the brave dwarf-fighter-tactician-bard-hero his support.
"With God as my witness, I swear on name and my life, that I shall do no harm, that I shall place the saving of life and easing of suffering above self, above family, that my duty is not to my people, or to my nation, but to all of humanity."

Urist opened the door to find a room with what appeared to be dozens of ornate brass coins, each about six inches thick and four feet in diameter. Each was decorated with hundreds of runes, and the image of a hammer spewing lightning onto a forest.
