Welcome to the City of Hope, a make-shift home for the surviving populace of Humanity. Set roughly two-hundred years in the future, this era is filled with hardships for the remaining Humans as two types of beings have arrived on Earth and made their presence known. . . by force. This attack happened in the year 2013 and continued for two centuries with most of Earth's original sentient race being enslaved or outright slaughtered by the newcomers.

Entered first were the 'Angels,' seemingly-majestic creatures of immense power. They are not numerous, but present plenty of trouble even if one were found alone. As far as Humans have observed, there are several types of Angels of different sizes, shapes, and duties. These Angels were tailed by another race of beings coined the 'Demons.' Arriving in hordes, these cruel creatures prefer attacking in overwhelming forces or subtlety. Demons are exceptionally horrific in aesthetics, and even worse in practice. With a large variety of Demons, multiple tactics are required to face these opponents.

These alien or supernatural creatures prefer taking Humans captive, using them for resource-gathering. Though most of Humanity has been either eradicated or enslaved, several outposts still exist to take on their new enemies, gathering people of all professions and abilities. The City of Hope is one such outpost, a home for the ever-growing number of refugees that wish to fight or simply survive. Due to the Human ability to thrive especially under stressed circumstances, they are largely known as Rebels now. A specific group of survivors will rise from this city with the faith and hopes of overturning the Angels and Demons to re-take Earth once more.

Locations are in the not-too-distant future of Earth, starting with Texas, U.S. The City of Hope is found here, a make-shift city of junk and debris using the landscape to cover themselves from their oppressors. More destinations are coming soon.

Samson "Fox" Macguire, played by Dubwarlock

Name: Samson "Fox" Macguire

Age: 22

Appearance: Samson is 5'9'' and 135 lbs. With a slim build, he deceives many when it comes to fighting due to his agility. His hair is black with orange-dyed tips. It is somewhat short with bangs just barely reaching the middle of of his eyes. A black, kevlar duster masks the majority of his figure, wearing a single fingerless glove on his right hand. His left hand has three rings upon his fingers of varying sizes, colors, and designs (black oval and a red cross within/amethyst gem/a 'spinning' type ring with tribal design on the outer ring). His pants are thick, black, and have multiple pockets adorning it from every side. Covering his feet are a pair of dark running shoes, worn and dirtied from use. To top it all off, Samson wears a black filter mask (similar to what spray-painters use) around his neck while it isn't in use with a black beanie that has an orange fox logo on the back of it. He has hazel eyes that always look calm or bored.

Personality: Outgoing in social situations, quiet elsewhere. Clever, logical, quick to retaliate or flee depending on the circumstance.

Motto: "Watch your step."

Inventory: 12 inch Tanto (with sheath); Metallic water can w/ water filter; Sunglasses; 1 Orange Spray Paint Can.

Skills/traits: Parkour; Strategy; Hand-to-Hand combat; Hiding (Stealth), Scavenging.

Background: Samson is known to many as either 'The Wanderer' or 'Fox' due to his random appearance one day to the current group of rebels. Fox is a Scavenger for any group that wants him, and he does his task well; while out, he is able to find and carry more than most efficiently. Though he is not willing to part with specific information, he details that he came back to his home (one Human rebel Outpost) with supplies to create certain weapons and preserve crops. On this day, the Outpost was hardly more than ashes and Samson didn't know that until he arrived, his own eyes to witness its post-destruction. He left immediately, seeking out another home and reports it took him eight days to come to where he is now, barely surviving on food scraps he found and hunted (for rodents still existed but far less common). He is not a master of any combat, but he could certainly place an opponent flat on his back at the least if he is within eight yards at the very start of combat.

Leila, played by Magmas

PERSONALITY:
Sadistic and cold at times, she can also be cynical and wry, joking and laughing about the misfortune of herself as well as others. She is somewhat mocking towards others and often gives them condescending nicknames, most likely to gain back the power which is lost due to her young age. She has a passion for music and plays violin. She also has a collection of old music from the late 20th and early 21st century including Led Zeppelin, Muse and Iron Maiden.

MOTTO:
When Life gives you lemons, squeeze them in Life's eyes and steal the apples. I prefer apples.

INVENTORY:
Double-bladed, retractable sword may also be split into two separate swords or used as a bō staff.

Background:
Found in an abandoned bunker, surrounded by the bodies of both humans and demons, Leila knew little more than her name and age when she was taken to Hope as a young child. She had lived there since, ignoring the other children and becoming almost detached from the rest of the world, constantly training in the disciplines of Ninjitsu. As she became older, she began to become less distant and, though she continued a strict training schedule, she also learnt violin after salvaging an old violin and an ancient MP3 device from the junk pile.

Riley Macguire, played by Xiga

Name: Riley Macguire

Age: 21

Appearance:

Personality: She's quite a silent type, but does what she can to protect and hang around people. Her temper is rarely changed and she always seem to have an constant calm about her, despite the situation in their daily life between battles. She's stubborn and has a strong sense of right and wrong, and that also makes her far sighted. If someone betrays her she will most likely never trust them again.

Motto: "Some live to kill, some kill to live. That's what differs us from them."

Inventory: Flask, Flint and steel, a Swiss knife, a first aid kit, and a backpack to keep everything in+ new stuff that she finds and a walking staff of metal.

Skills/traits: Is a really good shot, fast on her feet, and improvisational.

Background: Riley appeared out of nowhere weak and exhausted. Her temporary home was one day attacked by the creatures which had leveled the city several years earlier, leaving her with nothing. The chaos during the destruction had caused panic, and terror, and most of the people she knew were killed or just more so gone. Just before the attack she had been on her way to her brothers watch, to give him some fresh water, however when she was halfway there a bomb had completely flattened the tower. Heartbroken and scared for her life she did the only thing she could think of. She ran.
Injured and exhausted she had made it to Hope where she had been taken care of and soon she was reunited with her brother again.

VIXIV "Vix", played by Shoryu

Name: VIXIV [Responds to Vix]

Age: 41 [looks closer to early 20's]

Appearance: Vix is about 6'3" with a slim body shape and is very light with fairly off colored skin, he's dressed only in what appears to be an asylum patient's suit with his arms still bound. His hair looks slightly reddened brown and is very smooth and straight, while his eyeballs seem to be completely red with white pupils. He also has a dried blood around the collar of his outfit from an unknown source.

Personality: Vix is a very calm man despite his terrible position, though at present it seems to be meant simply to conserve energy. His mind works in over-drive almost constantly, analyzing things and forming decisions, often hinted at when his eyes very quickly browse over different objects around him, without his mind as sharp as it is he'd likely have been caught and disposed of.

The Main quality he displays currently is a completely controlled lack of emotions, keeping his face in a seemingly frozen state of dis-interested appearance, though he is eager to locate someone of a suitable level of sentience to assist him.

Motto: "If I could remember how I got to this point in life, I might not be here."

Skills/traits: Unknown things, Kick focused Melee Capability, Unreal flexibility, Mobility, Extremely Sharp Analytical Mind, Anti-Starvation Experience.

Background: He doesn't remember much recently, only that he's spent years in the captivity of some insane demon 'doctor' of some sort, he recalls little about him but feels as though he'd remember in an instant if he ever saw It's face again.

What he does remember however, is waking up slumped against a tree in the middle of a dried up dead forest, still bound within a straight-jacket-esque suit covered in straps and completely along with the stink of blood on himself. He wasn't the type to just sit and wait to starve while seeing if help just magically happened upon him, so he worked to his feet and got moving with a brisk pace. A normal man may have starved to death quickly, but it seemed that years of piss poor captivity had made him capable of compensating for a lack of food, though he felt perpetually exhausted it seemed to never get much worse, though the feeling of hunger grew day after day, urging him to hurry and locate somewhere he can get some real help, preferably human.

Zoey Howell / Zoe, played by Poetic

Name: Zoey Howell / Zoe

Age: 28

Appearance:

Deep blue sapphire eyes as she stands the height of 5’4.Straight deep shade of blond hair long enough that it reaches her waist yet held up in a high pony tail with short and long bangs. White doctors trench coat with a red tank top on and black skirt to match. Combat black boots with a hidden dagger in each boot. Strapped onto each thigh is three throwing daggers. Carries a black travel backpack.

Personality: Encouraging to become positive and high spirit. Passionate of the well beings of life itself and empathy and loyal to those around her. Situations become bleak her strength of being realist and grounded on her positive side will help the team out. When she is silent thou, that is the time to worry!

Motto: “Stop being soooo negative! Jeeze, No wonder this place is a hell hole!” “The worst is over now!”

Inventory: Black travel pack- Three different size Hunting knives, atlas, mother's herb book, herbs in jars, rope, knives, bandages, two flint stones, candles, fishing wire with hooks inside, water container, blanket, some medical antiseptics, and extra clothes.

Skills/traits: Tracking food and survival. Studying the ground and weather for shelter and food and also people themselves. Self motivated and resilient to take charge in dire situation, hunter instincts take over. Healing arts with herbs and medical treatment since she could remember, her parents trained her to survive off the wild.

Background: Lost both of her parents from wounds that were to dire to heal from the lack of being hospitalize and medical treatments to survive at age 20.Both of her parents were doctors and gave Zoey maps of “Safe Zones” she could hide out with survivals and medical supplies she would need to provide. Her little brother is also at one of these “Safe Zones” helping out her family friends. Since her parents died, she has been going to each Zone making sure everyone is taking care of and sources has been scarce of medical supplies and food within the last few years. She made it her journey to venture out from the Zones to find more resources.

Terry MacIntyre, played by NarayanK

Name: Terry MacIntyre

Age: 30

Appearance:

(Brown hair, with some light brown in the middle / white jacket with the letters "RAD AT THE MAX" written behind / khaki baggy pants / black shoes / slightly tanned skin)

Personality: MacIntyre isn't a cold-blooded man, but that doesn't mean that he won't fight when he needs to. Outside of combat, MacIntyre is a friendly man who would do whatever it takes to help the City of Hope's people. He enjoys serving others because he doesn't think himself as a high-class existence. The man respects anyone who is gifted with a certain talent other than beating things up. MacIntyre prefers to do jobs that don't require actual combat such as cooking (which is what he does the most). Combat training is a different story, though he only does this when he has freetime.

In combat, he respectfully fights whoever his opponent is. The man doesn't use a single taunt or sarcastic remark, but rather, praises his opponents for whatever fighting style they use. He usually avoids making finishing blows and lets others do the last touches for him.

Motto: "Never give up. The right path is in front of you; you just need to see it."

Inventory: Magnum .357 Revolver, Leather Whip, Fruits

Skills/traits: - Despite being blind, MacIntyre could still see what is going on. This trait was earned through many hardships, but there are still some things he can't see. He could pretty much sense anything, though.

- MacIntyre is very durable and flexible. He could easily dodge and block attacks, but his stamina sometimes makes him falter in combat.

Background: Many years after the first major attacks made by angels and demons, a baby was born in a small, makeshift shelter. MacIntyre did not expect to encounter an attack when he was a young adult. Luck had let him slide past a major attack around his birthplace, which had killed many people he once knew of. Thankfully for him, he didn't get to see the large amount of blood spilled. Not that he could, for he was a blind man. MacIntyre found the City of Hope after wandering around the debris of buildings that once stood tall and proud. Hoping to somehow help out others, he joined the group with a clear motive; protect Earth's remaining survivors.

Other Information: - Hanson was given a .357 Revolver from a dying friend in his home. It was apparently one of the few items that had commonly existed many years earlier. Though it has no ammo, it's considered as an ancient souvenir. (It's sometimes used to puncture holes)

Personality: Calm, quiet, cold, emotionally broken, and rage fueled.
Motto: "May he who created you, destroy you past my own power."
Inventory: Tauras Judge Revolver with three 410. Multi-slug home defense shells, one Kabar Bowie with no hood upon the handle, one canteen that holds three quarts of water.
Skills/traits: He is an exceptional marksmen, but he is also a master of CQC.

I still need to make some maps, but the story will start in the city of Hope. Which is located in America, northern Texas

- What did you mean by the income? How does it work?

Sorry, with income I meant... Uh... where the rebels get there 'resources'.

- By a barren city, is it a shell of what it once was or seriously just a flattened out area where a city once was?

Some parts of a city are completely obliterated (by special bombs from the Angels/Demons) But most of the cities is still intact. Though... ruined and uninhabitable.

Ahhh =3 Well, honestly, I live in america and I'm not 'too' familiar with everything either =3 I do however know that in Texas, as long as you have the right paperwork, you can own everything from an M4 assault rifle, to a Bofer's 40MM Anti Air Auto-Cannon xD and I'm 'not' exaggerating =3 you really can own an auto cannon XD Texas is the best place to stand a chance of finding a gun during an apocalyspe XD granted, after 200 years, it'd probably have to be supplied through the event of locating an under-ground bunker where someone had stocked up for hell to break loose XD

I bet some were booby trapped=3 caving in the entrance when someone tries to loot it XD It'd be cool if someone made a character who was escaping one of these bunkers, who'd ever imagine such a possibility of storing up so much food XD or the changes that might happen over 200 years of under-ground survival [third of 4th generation of course XD].
