Margret continued to read all through ELA class while the rest of the class goofed off. She trolled her eyes as a paper air plane landed in from of her. She sighed and opened it up to see a message from the book club. They were having a meeting this afternoon and She knew She had to make it. The bell suddenly rang and she ran to her locker, bumping into someone and falling onto her bum.

Alex looked down at the girl who'd just bumped into him. What was her name again? Something with an m? Did he actually care? 'Watch where you're going.' He said simply, before stepping over her to continue walking down the corridor. Why was she in such a rush anyway?

She got up and dusted herself off. She looked at him and shook her head, picking up her books and heading to social studies. She didnt care one bit about the boys at her school. No, she cared more about her school work than them. Suddenly she was pulled into the cheerleaders dressing room and was bombarded with question like if she could touch her toes and jump high. She looked at the cheerleaders and wondered why they were doing this. The head cheerleader stepped up and looked her up and down. "I guess you'd be a good replacement for Marcy. But we'll have to do something about your looks. "Alright, but why me?" She asked. "Because your the only girl who might actually be pretty enough and skinny enough to join!" One of the cheerleaders said excitedly. Two of the girls dragged her into the bathroom and one hour later she came out looking like a new person. Everyone clapped and the head cheerleader smiled. "Welcome to the team. Go put on your uniform, it's time to practice." She said handing her her uniform and everyone went outside. Margret put on her uniform and went outside, knowing that the cheerleaders practiced for most of the day. And she also knew her teachers had been informed so luckily she wouldn't get yelled at. As she walked onto the field, she saw sone of the football players looking at her. She looked away, getting to the other cheerleaders and finding out the routine. As they practiced, it was like she knew the steps by heart. But cheer leading was in her blood as her mom said, she was a cheerleader back in highschool and her mom had always dreamed of margret being one as well.

Alex looked over at the cheerleaders, saw Margret and gasped. She seemed familiar... But how? He was sure he'd never met anyone, and she seemed to be new to the cheerleading team... Unless... No... It couldn't possibly be... Could it? He soon realised it was the girl he'd bumped into in the hallway and completely lost track of the football game. How could she be so... So... So very cheerleader? She was so nerdy back there with her books and everything... How could she now look like an actual cheerleader? And why was he so mesmerised by her? He tried to focus back on the game but she kept swimming to the front of his mind.

Margret told a couple of jokes that actually made the cheerleaders laugh. She actually thought she had found the crowd she belonged to. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled. She caught the eye of Alex and waved with a teasing smile. She turned back and started to laugh at a joke that was being told. She flipped her pony tail and realized how much she and her mother were alike now that they had something in common. She smiled and realized she would have something to talk to her parents about other than books, tests and homework. She caught a couple of football players starring at her but when she looked at them they went back to playing football. Kathy, one of the cheerleaders, whispered that she thought michale the middle linebacker had a crush on her. She smiled and laughed, realizing she sounded so much more like her mother than she wanted to. But that didnt matter at the moment. They were starting their last routine and she wanted to get it right.

Alex ignored the teasing wave that Margret sent his way. He was trying to keep his indifferent facial expression that he always kept. He never dated, he refused the shallow cheerleaders, because they were shallow, but he didn't date anyone else because that would put his popularity on the line, and he really enjoyed being popular. The perks of owning the school were always fun. He focused himself on the game, keeping his mask of indifference carefully plastered onto his face. If anyone noticed any expression, they'd realise something was... different. Not exactly wrong, but very different. How could some girl affect him like this? Who knew? All he knew was, he needed to stay away from her to keep his cool. He could NOT let her get to him.

After finishing their practice everyone hit the showers, then it was time to go home. Jenny was having a party at her house and she invited margret over. Margret was surprised, she had never been to a popular kids party so when she was asked she quickly said yes. Margret went home and curled her hair, put on some makeup and put on a very exposing dress. Then she got into her car and drove to Jenny's house. When she arrived most of the boys were starring at her and saying hi. She said hi back and rushed inside to find Jenny. She had never walked in heels before so it was kind of tricky at first but soon she got the hang of it. She found Jenny and Jenny introduced her to all her friends. She had meet so many people she almost lost track of their names, almost. She saw Alex but walked right passed him, walking past him as if he was nothing to her. She had actually had a crush on him for years but she definitely was not going to admit that to him. No, he'd probably just reject her as he had done to so many others. She got a drink from the punch bowl and sat down on a couch away from almost everyone.
