POWERS THAT BE
[CLOSED FOR NOW; NEW APPLICANTS WILL BE PUT ON STANDBY]
The New Creation, a lonely planet in a sea of stars, is the starting point of a new race of humanity. Born on the unforgiving face of a desolate land and hemmed in by storm-tossed seas, these fledgling beings struggle to survive and find purpose in the dawn of the world's first years. Without fish or fowl or fruit-bearing tree, they would surely die - but they are not the only ones to walk upon the young earth. Their Creators walk among them, beings of immense power and diverse qualities, all with their own purposes.
You will play the part of an all-powerful being, a god of whatever you please: life, death, war, fertility, or civilization. You have come down to the New Creation, in alliance or in opposition to your fellow gods, to make your mark there and to accomplish your own ends. Whether you choose to help humanity flourish or bring them to ruin, whether you wish to work in secret or be known to them, whether you will do war with the other divinities or join with them, is up to you. The world is your playground - create, destroy, corrupt, enlighten, and exert your power according to your will.
THE GODS
Kyriol
The Dying God
The first among gods, and the first to fall, Kyriol laid the foundations for the world. How he began to die is unknown - perhaps the treachery of some less noble deity, or perhaps simply the natural lifespan of the divine - but as he now slips into oblivion, his will continues to shape the world he made. The edicts of the dying god provide the natural boundaries of reality, and the extent to which the other gods may interfere, and his servant Jotos remains behind to carry out his will. Secret knowledge and artifacts left behind by the dying god remain on the surface of the New Creation, and wold give any man (or god) a distinct advantage in claiming the world for themselves.
Jotos
God of Judgment
Appointed by the Dying God as the sole arbiter of the rest of the gods, Jotos alone enforces the authority of Kyriol and exacts the punishments due to those who transgress his will. Lesser in strength than the rest but empowered by his patron god, he lives only to keep the world in order, and has no allegiance to any god besides his master.
Kariselli Bloom
Goddess of Wildlife, Nature, and the Harvest
(Emma Tarin)
Dovaen
God of Magic and Dragons
His magic is great and pertains to fields of knowledge such as mysticism, and spell casting. Spell casting requires verbal incantations, and can be used to pertain to any field of power as long as he has enough energy available, however he cannot use his magic to fulfill roles the other gods already have. In addition, it is quite difficult to power enough energy to do things which are restricted in this Setting. Energy is built up by chants, incantations, ingredients, artifacts, alchemy and occasionally even sacrifice.

Ceriana
Goddess of Birth, Rebirth, and the Cycle
As the Three-fold Goddess, Ceriana (and her devotees) hold that number in special regard. The three times of the day, the three ages of man, these and more bear her touch. As a Goddess of the Natural Order, Ceri is also deeply in touch with the land and prefers to work through brews and potions, accelerating and slowing the pace of natural events wherever possible instead of creating them anew. In all such things, she serves the balance.

Rabidus
God of Madness and Fear
The god Rabidus bears a staff that can have an unknown effect on anything. He can also use magic that he made himself, which includes using the souls of the damned as projectiles.
(VaultBoy)
Morcyro
God of Ice and Death
A master of resurrection and control of the dead including animals, Morcyro can summon icy winds and snowstorms. He has ice spear that can freeze and shatter steel.
(BlackDynamite)
Verania
Goddess of Pain and Suffering
Verania has the ability to ensare the weak minded as slaves, and a whip that can strike 40 gashes upon a man when hit. Whenever someone hurts physically or emotionally it is the work of Verania.
(Madhog)
Deusidon
God of Knowledge, Reason, and Enlightenment
He has dominion over all Lions, Reptiles and Birds. He is able to sense through and manifest himself through his favoured animals and followers (i.e. use them as avatars on the planet, similar to avatars in video games or D&D). He also possesses Inherent Omniscience (he is able to know everything about all he chooses to know, this keeps him from going mad) and unlimited Psychic Power. He is able to psychically communicate with his followers/favoured animals and provide insight, visions, intuitions and knowledge to those who serve his cause (he could in theory make intelligent animals). Finally to his greatest of followers and favoured animals he can grant them psychic powers and physical boons in the form of gaining traits his favoured physical form possesses (e.g. I could grant a follower/favoured animal wings or a lions roar but not gills or antennae for instance).
(KB97)
Atlas
God of the Mind
Atlas has many forms, several of them invisible; a gust of wind, a sudden chill on the back of your neck. When affiliating with mortals or other gods he takes the form of a whitish outline of a tall, lean man. His movements in this form are not fluid motions but rather like a series of photographs; one second here, the next maybe half a foot away, with no visible movement from A to B.
Atlas' domain is the mortal mind; he manipulates, he informs, he controls. Depending on how any given person interacts with him this can be a blessing or a curse; he could tell you the secrets of life or force you to drown yourself in a well. He can also manipulate non-sentient life - convince a flower to bloom or wither away, or a squirrel to attack a man walking by. Largely Atlas has no power in direct confrontation, but through subtlety there is next to no limit to what he can accomplish.
