I definatly understand the desire to avoid 'mini posters' gooping up the RP's Machinery, but that's certainly above Casual Expectations =P

Either way I'm still interested, Just thought I might bring that up XD Also, Sorry for 'appearing' in the OOC if this was more open mainly to those from the Interest check, I just spotted it while searching for an OOC from another RP and it caught my Eye. ^.^
If nobody cares, I can cut it down a paragraph or two. What's the group say?
The only position that leaves me with no cognitive dissonance is atheism. It is not a creed. Death is certain, replacing both the siren-song of Paradise and the dread of Hell. Life on this earth, with all its mystery and beauty and pain, is then to be lived far more intensely: we stumble and get up, we are sad, confident, insecure, feel loneliness and joy and love. There is nothing more; but I want nothing more.

That's fine with me. Sample posts are the most tedious thing about apps for me, anyway.

I should have an app in for Black Arrow within the next 24-48 hours. I think I finally have a concept of the character that I like and can work with.

Omg. It's Lucius Cypher. I've had this weird fascination with joining an RP with you. >_> Partly because we have a very similar name and I get this feeling it will generate confusion, <_<

AHAH!, I have my character concepts decided =3 I shall get to work shortly, once I finish reading up a bit on the countries =3 Hopefully my Idea's won't be too 'out there' even for this setting XD Though what I understand of the Setting, It shouldn't be too difficult to avoid Excessive OPness or anything =3 and even if it does happen, I can always correct it XD

Also, since I've posted a 'half done' CS in other RPs and had GMs ignore it despite asking if what was already present was not too much, I'll explain a little real quick =3

Before I fully complete a history and Posting Sample, I'll get the powers and character concept set up and then post those to get an opinion on them, sometimes the 'heavier details' like history and personality may be changed depending on the concept and powers and what may need to be changed, so to avoid the extra trouble of totally redoing history/sample/personality and the like, I'll post those 'first' and then add in the rest of the details after I find out whether or not I must change the character's overall concept.

Of course, If it's prefer, I can just pm about the concepts now XD Though since everyone's offline I might as well get those parts of the CS completed in greater detail 'now' rather than waiting what could be hours for a response before doing any work xD

Character You Would Like to Play:
Fumio Fujikawa, Fu-Fu (no relation to Stark-Fujikawa): Ghost rider 2099

    Character Alignment:
    Hero of Villainous methods

Appearance/Costume (Briefly describe or post a picture of what your character's costume looks like): .
Walking around town or in clubs.
Driving across the countryside in his ATV.
    Riding on hellfire.

Origin/History of Your Character and Their Personality:
A healthy youth who had the world set before him, strong enough for an athletic scholarship and honor roll every year since seventh grade. The only flaw could be when his father was being blackmailed by the Foot clan, there was no way to get out from under the gang without sacrificing everything they had until an American businessman offered Yoshio a deal: Be a ghost rider, some sort of silent courier, to deliver hundreds of packages all over the city in one night and then this business man would handle the legalities to get the Foot clan to move onto bigger targets.
So he did as was asked, to deliver 666 packages all over the city in thirteen hours between dusk to dawn. Unfortunately those packages was each an explosive set to go off all at once into the shape of a pentagram 13 miles across at 1 o-clock (13:00 hours). His father was one of the thousands killed in the bombings, and he was buried without the truth of the Foot clan ever coming to light. Fumio became so enraged that he had been used so wholly that the spirit of vengeance erupted from within and he has traveled the world to America to find the gaijin responsible for turning him into a terrorist.
He is a power of vengeance, it is his desire and reason for living, even away from the ghost rider he would still be looking for bullies to punish and other foul folk to punish. This is not to say he is a one dimensional character, he has just subsumed much of his humanity, he is willing himself to a single goal and focus. The same skill and focus of an honor roll student is put to now studying to occult to enhance his power by understanding its workings and more importantly the limitations.

    Powers and Abilities:
As a human he has no powers. He is proficient enough to teach traditional Karate to others. He is a licensed motorcycle mechanic and small engine repairs. He was school captain for his baseball team for 6 years.

As the Ghost Rider he has superhuman strength and durability as well as the ability to project and control Hellfire which can sear the soul as well as burn the flesh. He can shape his Hellfire into a mystical motorcycle capable of traveling over water and up vertical surfaces as well as shape a mystical weapon for physical attacks. He is also immune to any mystical attacks that are specific to beings with living souls. As a spirit of vengeance, he is hard (but not impossible)to be deceived and can determine guilt or innocence at a glance.

    Supporting Cast (If Any):

    Sample Post:
Fufu was currently tearing up the Sahara desert on his ATV, it was a beautiful night with the new moon obscured, only him and the stars. Well that and the Horsemen of Famine, not the actual entity but a band of roving marauders who emulate its name by raiding all supply transports to keep the food supply dangerously low. Even in the freezing night, his bones were burning with an inner fire. The burning intensified as he got closer alongside the convoy but no raiders were in sight until one of the trucks made a sudden sharp turn to the right and threatened to crush him beneath its weight.

His ATV exploded into bright orange flames that turned the thrown sand into swirling lengths of molten glass that cooled in the freezing air to illusions of ice sculptures, a thing of absolute beauty in the midst of hell unleashed. Out of the fire emerged a vehicle of unearthly creation, a predator given wheels, retribution made real, the ghost rider had come. Its engines whine was a window-shattering keen like a banshee scream as he circled around the first truck to melt the sand to glass and trap its wheels. Being a hovertrack mean that driving over desert or glass was nothing.

    "Damn. New plan."

The cycle screamed to life as he drew out his switchblade knife, imbued with hellfire the weapon shifted shape into a demonic katana that he used to put a line through the truck like a hot knife through butter. Were the truck steel or even aluminum it would have stood a chance, but in these days of plastic and glass it was nothing to the hellfire weapon as it fell to the side to tumble amidst the sand dunes.

The truck driver climbed out of the cab to collect his bearing until the ghostrider was atop of him. The guilt was dripping from him as clearly as the sweat as he tried to get away from the hellfire hero but the sand kept him from finding purchase to escape as the Rider closed in on the raider. A blade was sunk into the mans thigh through the leg and into the sand below which began to glaze and drip in rivulets down the dune.

"Confess and you will survive. Lie and die."
The driver turned to face the flaming skull, those empty sockets of nothing but void drew him in until there was nothing else but those eyes, the black that showed every sin he was guilty of like a film. Not when he stole food to survive, but when he came back to the store a year later to begin his first protection racket. The man who always let him get away with theft was now cradling a broken hand. That was the first of a thousand more acts a thousand times worse. Not acts of survival, that can be forgiven, but acts of evil and cruelty were being pulled across his mind, tearing them from his head and his heart, purging him of all sin by erasing them from memory.

The ghostrider dropped the catatonic trucker into the sand before drawing out the blade that turned back into a knife before being pocketed as the ATV returned to its true form.

"Get him a doctor, or don't. He was going to betray you all, treat him fairly or I will be back for the cruel of you."

And with that he was gone to the top of the dune to watch the surrounding area for any other rogue truckers before vanishing into the darkness of a moonless night.

Character You Would Like to Play: Sigurd Jarrlson, The Mighty Thor

Character Alignment (Hero, Villain, or Walking the Line): Hero

Appearance/Costume (Briefly describe or post a picture of what your character's costume looks like): Sigurd is a large blond haired Scandinavian man. He wears normal, every day clothes and sports a bushy beard. When he becomes Thor, it's the classic Asgardian Prince we all know and love in his chain mail armor.

Brief Origin/History of Your Character and Their Personality: Sigurd is a gruff man, who's stubbornness can get him in trouble. He believes in not BSing around with people, and has a strict sense of justice. Sigurd does possess a wit as sharp as his fighting skills, often taunting opponents in battle.
Thor practically possesses the same personality, though the Great Cataclysm and seeing so many friends and family die has hardened him. He is more like a Norse warrior now than ever, and is prone to excessive amounts of drinking when not acting the part of a hero.

Sigurd knows nothing of his life before waking up in an army hospital in New Oslo, part of the Scandinavian Empire of Asgard. Apparently one of the Fenris Wolfpack, Asgard's elite unit, Sigurd was brutally stabbed and near death.

For two long weeks he sat in his hospital bed, with nothing to do but watch the news feeds, go through his rehab, and sleep. And when he slept he was plagued with bizarre visions. Some pleasant, others nightmarish.

He saw a vast city of shining white spires and glorious castles. He saw fields of green grass, and three oddly matched friends laughing together as they shared a meal by a fire...

He saw a dark, frightening land, ruled by monsters. He saw a kingdom of fire, and a massive demon holding a hulking sword. He saw the massive demon standing in the golden city, facing an old man in silver armor...

He saw the golden city burn around the demon, as it raised it's massive blade and brought it crashing down on the old man...

And then he'd always wake up.

But, as he became fully healed, a new dream began to play in his mind every night. It was a small, grassy plateau in the shadow of a large mountain top, with path leading up. Up on the mountain's peak, surrounded by storms, was an small stone alter. And on this alter, there sat a war hammer. It was the most magnificent weapon Sigurd had ever seen. A feeling in his gut that he felt every time he awoke, told him that the hammer was real. He had to seek it out.

It wasn't long after that, that Sigurd left the Wolfpack to follow his visions and find this special hammer.

But the Wolfpack does not tolerate deserters. Lars Liesmith, has taken a personal interest in seeing Sigurd arrested and brought back 'home' for punishment. It will be a deadly journey for Sigurd as he quests to find the hammer...

Powers and Abilities: Sigurd possesses no powers, but is a trained fighter and good marksman; as Thor, the standard power set of the regular 616 Thor (Pre-Odin Force)

Supporting Cast (If Any): Lars Liesmith, his chief adversary; Skurge, his former Captain of the Fenris Wolves who is now hunting him; The other characters from the Thor mythos will be introduced later.

Sample Post (must be a minimum of 4 paragraphs with at least 2 lines of dialogue from your character):

Sigurd grunted as he rolled on the concrete. Regaining his balance, Sigurd began to sprint down the side of the old road as laser blasts whizzed by overhead.

Two men in powered armor, soldier's of the Empire of Asgard, came rushing over the edge of the rooftop and leaping onto the street below. The soldiers ran after Sigurd as he ducked into an old, run down hotel.

Sigurd looked around, trying to figures something out.

"Come on, fool! Think", he cursed to himself as he quickly scanned his surroundings!

The laser blasts began to pour through the door, and Sigurd darted through the lobby and up the stairs to the second floor.
The two soldiers burst through the entrance, hot on Sigurd's heels.

"You're screwed, Jarrlson! Just surrender and save yourself the pain!"

A large piece of rebar rocketed into one of the guards, impaling the surprised man through his stomach.

"You were saying something about pain", Sigurd smirked as the guard fell to his knees, dying?

    "Mother ****er!"

The guard opened fire, and a hail of laser bolts came at Jarrlson. Sigurd dove through a door and into a nearby suite. He crawled on his hands and knees into the kitchen and away from the laser bolts. Standing up, he found a large, old chef's knife that still looked new. Sigurd smiled as he picked the blade up.

The guard rushed in through the door way like a headstrong fool, and the blade easily found his throat.
Grabbing the dying man's weapon, Sigurd fired a single shot into the soldier's skull, stopping his squirming forever.

Rushing out of the hotel, Sigurd froze as over a dozen armed men had their weapons trained on him.

"Give it up, Sigurd", came a familiar voice.
The crowd of soldiers parted, allowing a large man, dressed fully in battle armor as black as night, entry. The armor was sleek, the claws glinting in the moon light as the man strode forward. The helmet of the armor looked like a fierce wolf, and, with a hiss, the helmet instantly retracted neatly folding into the neck piece.

"It's been a while", smiled Skurge as he cracked his neck.

    "Not long enough"
, Sigurd's eyes narrowed as he spoke to his former Captain. Skurge was the leader of the Fenris Wolfpack, Asgard's elite recon unit. Mostly made up of psychos with little-to-no morality, Skurge was the worst of them all. Nicknamed "The Executioner" for the way he brutally and methodically murdered his enemies, Skurge was not a man to be trifled with.

"End this foolishness, boy. Just throw down your weapon and come peacefully."

"Like a oblivious lamb to the slaughter? I think not, Executioner. I've seen first hand what happens to prisoners under your watch", Sigurd spat.

Skurge smirked at hearing his "name" mentioned.

"What can I say? I'm a man who takes pride in his job."

"But, if you want to do this the hard way", Skurge said as he activated his comm link.

    "Send him in."

A faint whistling sound could be heard from the skies above, and the Skurge began to slowly retreat, though never taking his eyes off of Sigurd.

"Should've done this the easy way, Sigurd. Fall back!"

The whistling sound grew louder as the soldiers turned and fled the scene. Skurge turned around and watched as the weapon dropped like a bomb into the ground only a few meters in front of Sigurd.

The force of the impact shattered windows and cracked buildings, and sent Jarrlson flying backwards and skipping off of the pavement.

Sigurd groan and spat a wad of blood from his mouth as he turned to see what it was that had made such an impact.

As the smoke and dust began to clear, Sigurd saw a massive mechanical figure slowly moving towards him from the haze, and he silently cursed his luck as he recognized the monstrosity stalking his way.

"Don't want to deal with me, fine", Skurge stated from behind the silent monstrosity.
"Say hello to Ulik. And you know he's nowhere near as nice as I am."

First of two profiles going up. The second will be up in a day or two

Character You Would Like to Play: Karen Starr

Character Alignment: Mostly good but walks the line.

Appearance/Costume (Briefly describe or post a picture of what your character's costume looks like):

Origin/History of Your Character and Their Personality: Karen Starr does not dwell on the past but rather looks to the future, this does not mean she looks back into the past through her long life. The Cataclysm made most of her life in the past meaningless now, many friends, some family, even old enemies and rivals had passed. With all that had happened, it was up to companies like hers to pick up the pieces. She did what she could, but even with the basis of her company, working on many fronts she could not solve everything, she wasn't Superman for lack of a better term. Her only other option was to link with a company that could do better to help. Wih the steadily growing L-corp however, she wasn't all that willing to help that corporation with it's reputation.

She closed down Starrware in New York, making way west to talk with some contacts. Stark-Fujikawa run by none other than Rumiko Stark, had offered Karen her own branch, with all the power she had previously in name and title. Rumiko's only requirements, that nothing said in meetings goes outside said meetings, and that when called upon, she is to help in whatever capacity able. She took the job, doing what she was doing previously, helping the problems of the world as she could, she couldn't punch every problem in the face, her own personal motto, and this is as it still is today, but these days she finds that punching a few faces is requiredin her business now and than.

    Powers and Abilities:
NOTE: This is the early non solar powered Powergirl, so she isn't as powerful as her current incarnation
Karen Starr is a Kryptonian and as such has all the powers involved. However there is a large difference, in her DNA there is a rare genetic mutation that gives her access to her powers without the solar radiation of a yellow or blue sun. That being said she can't absorb the sunlight, but can operate full powered in places that other kryptonians can't. However Karen is nowhere near as powerful as many kryptonians, and is still susceptible to kryptonite and magic.
    Supporting Cast: N/A

Sample Post: She is in a nice position in the sarcastic sense, A semi post apocalyptic scenario, with corporations picking up the pieces. Karen herself was doing her part, but even being who she is, it makes things difficult. Not only is she keeping things in check on the business front, but is also trying to keep things in check out in the world. Starrware, a business dedicated to solving the world's problems, with innovative ideas. It was a great idea that has seen moderate successes, though nothing like Lexcorp or Wayne Enterprises, that is before thery became different companies. Karen looked over her papers, going through the numbers in her head. It all added up, but just didn't cut it, she's losing money doing what she set out to do in the world.

Karen rolled back from her desk, in her roll around chair, and rubbed her temples, trying to make the headache go away. "Oh my god, I don't think I can do this by myself, I'm not superman" She kicked herself mentally for making that pun. Karen turned to look out the window behind her, she would need to look at joining up with one of the other companies, L-corp, Veidt, Stark-Fujikawa, Wayne-Powers, COBRA. All of these corporations were currently running the world, and she was floundering. She would need to make some calls, but to whom, there was probably only one she would work with, who wouldn't steal from her. "Well Karen it's time to suck it up and make the call". The ensuing line of phone calls was less than pleasurable, making her headache worse. But in the end her goal had been seen. The following meetings would probably be hell, but no merger was fun.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Character You Would Like to Play: Rumiko Stark

Character Alignment: Good, but doesn’t ask questions (mostly because she doesn't ned to)

    Appearance/Costume:

Origin/History of Your Character and Their Personality: Rumiko is a woman of morals, but like her grandfather she knows how to have fun. She is the hands on type of girl who can immerse herself in her work. However she has a serious side, when it comes to business she becomes no nonsense, but she isn't a bitch. As Ironguard she shows a mix of both personalities

Her background was one of opportunity, she never wanted for anything, but was not always given what she wanted, being taught that in order to get what she wanted, she needed to work for it. This instilled in her, the hands on approach that would serve her well for years to come. As she grew she attended normal schools in order to be taught much the same thing she had been taught her entire life about working for what she got. In the end, after she graduated high school, not only did she graduate with top marks in nearly every class, but letters from many top colleges offering scholarships to join their school and anything else that would get her to join

Going through college and getting out she came out of her years of college with many degrees that made her suited to a field in electromechanics and business. At the end of it all she took over the family business, early on making bold moves, such as bringing the company back into weapons development along with it's other endeavors as a move of supporting the restoration of the world to it's former glory Her philosophy on running her business is, to provide safety for everyone who wants it regardless of their status in life. She is always accepting help from people that can help in her views, people such as Karen Starr wehose only true goal is to help people with new and innovative ideas. However even with all her ideas and power she needed something else, a symbol of her company, something that could show the people of her city that they need fear nothing, but at the same time be able to protect her assets.

After days of digging she found old files on the system dubbed "Project Iron". She looked it over and with some tweaks both major and minor, Iron Guard was born, the idea that heroes were still needed in this day and age was put into this design, something human like, but symbolic. The old color scheme of red and gold was kept as the symbols. Upon first flight it was less than perfect, but on Ironguard's heroic unveiling, it was definitely met with much laudation, especially given, that same day a major shootout between heavily armed gang members and policing forces had been taking place. It was a success, and gave other companies something to think about should they decide to make any aggressive moves, on top of what she already had.

    Powers and Abilities:
As a human being Rumiko has no powers other than what her title gives her. She is a very smart woman with access to just about any piece of information you could imagine. She is a technological and mechanical genius. She has been trained in Taekwondo and military CQC, she is able to effectively use small arms such as pistols, rifles, SMG's, shotguns, etc.

Even as Ironguard she has no powers. Instead she remotely controls the suit via a skintight cyber suit that looks reminiscent of Tron, and a rather complicated looking piece of tech that can best be described as some weird looking gyro ride.

Ironguard is an improvement to Ironman in many ways. For starters it is completely unmanned leaving room for additional tech to be placed inside. The suit has essentially become ironman and warmachine all in one. It has all the old weaponry of the old suit, but heavily upgraded and modified, as well as implementing systems and weaponry of the Warmachine design. The design of Ironguard is made to look more human, but still give the impression of it's predecessor. The result of the new design was a major upgrade to both Ironman and Warmachine.

    Supporting Cast (If Any):
James Hogan (Friend and secretary): This man has been her friend since childhood, and it only made sense that she hired the man to keep her files straight.

Tanya Rhodes (Friend and Military Liaison): The two of them have been friends for the longest time, Like her grandfather she served in the marines. Her connections allow Rumiko to operate as Ironguard.

Sample Post: A holo screen could be seen showing readouts of ironguard s it started up. In her cyber suit she stepped into the interface machine. "Jarvis transfer all system information to the goggles" The system hooked her up wirelessly to all of the suit's system's, mentally and physically, this is what allowed her to make silent commands to the suit for the most part, though some parts still required voice command. "Alright Jarvis start him up". In a part of the room that was so secure, that not even Karen could break through the Ironguard came to life. On the sides of her head were little disc shaped nodes. She tapped the nodes, causing a holographic band that spread over her eyes, giving her all sorts of readouts, including a first person view of what the suit was doing. "Ocular Cameras are working" She stomped Ironguard's foot on the ground, "Sound receptors are working, alright I'm testing the new gyro balancing system now, just a simple walk than we'll move outside to flight tests"

Rumiko took a step forward with Ironguard, walking up and down the room, jumping a few times, and even breaking into a human speed run. "Balancing passes but it seems like it needs to be adjusted just a bit to the left, say .05%" Once more she ran the walking tests and nodded to herself "Alright now to the flying portion open the..." Soon an alarm went off in the HUD. "Jarvus, status" Soon an older sounding male voice could be heard in the HUD "It seems like there is a break in at your house" she sighed "Send the closest Officers" Jarvis chimed in again "Scans of your home indicate one of the opposing corporations" She sighed No doubt after something incriminating, or bank information, so juvenile. Activate home security, make sure they know not to mess with Stark, whether living or machine capture them if possible, I plan to dig around for some information. Now let's get back to the tests, than I'll go home to figure out why this person is breaking into my home.

Apparently I am an AGM... Who the fuck knew?! With that in mind, you're APPROVED, JB.
