I might try one of those if my ghost rider is not approved.
I have another CS I'm working on, although it sure as hell won't be any of those three.
Below The Bible Belt: A Southern-Fried Podcast
"“Already today I hit you twice. Once I knocked the wind out of you, once I knocked the consciousness out of you. Here you are back the third time. You call that smart?”"
--Richard Stark
I'll be done with my Alpha Flight soldier sometime tonight =3
Also, it seems to be the case that I shall be handling the designing and functioning of Alpha flight =3 If anyone happens to wanna make a genetically modified soldier for it, feel free XD though I'm considering my character among the group to be getting into someone else's conflict elsewhere in the world =3
We may be able to have bunches of different stories running at the same time, But I personally think we've already got enough different groups in the works =3 obviously that's not 'my' call or anything XD But it's my opinion that too many going on at once will cause overwhelming confusion for some.

The only position that leaves me with no cognitive dissonance is atheism. It is not a creed. Death is certain, replacing both the siren-song of Paradise and the dread of Hell. Life on this earth, with all its mystery and beauty and pain, is then to be lived far more intensely: we stumble and get up, we are sad, confident, insecure, feel loneliness and joy and love. There is nothing more; but I want nothing more.
I posted my second character on the same page as my first one

And expect an app up for a certain flying rodent of Gotham fame later when I get back from work, as well as an IC thread.

Character You Would Like to Play: Cassandra “Cassie” McAllister (A-K-A: The Black Arrow)
Character Alignment (Hero, Villain, or Walking the Line): Hero
Appearance/Costume (Briefly describe or post a picture of what your character's costume looks like): Think the “Green Arrow” costume except all black.
Origin/History of Your Character and Their Personality:
Cassandra McAllister grew up in Gotham City as an only child to a single father. Her mother Janet was a doctor who died in a mugging, and her father Perry McAllister was a high-priced attorney who had only one client Derek Powers. Although she grew up in a life of privilege Cassie hated it and she wanted to be like everyone else who went to her high-school. Cassie always had a strong moral sense and belief in helping others that came from her mother. When she graduated high-school she attended Gotham University and joined the Army where she became C-I-D Investigator. Cassie stayed with it for five years until she decided she had enough of the military and the games that went with being an officer in the Army such as putting the enlisted personnel down consistently. Cassie’s father arranged for her to get a job at Wayne-Powers as one of his security officers. Powers noticed that Cassie was not only physically attractive but very deadly. He offered her a different position within the company. Powers had a private security force within Wayne-Powers called the Wave, a private security force that was to “observe” & “deal with” certain employees and those outside of the company who might be a threat to Wayne-Powers. Cassie proved quickly that she had a talent for the kind of work Powers wanted done and he was taking notice of her to the point that eventually she became the leader of the wave. Cassie hated it but she felt that if she could get inside the inner-circle she might be able to take them down and maybe even Powers in the process.
One night she staked out an abandoned warehouse that was a possible meeting site for a resistance group in Gotham and figured she could join them and give them Intel to help their cause. Cassie was stunned to discover one of the leaders of the resistance was her father! Her father told her that he had been working from the inside for years not only trying to bring down Powers but the big-man himself Tyler Stone. Perry begged his daughter to stay out of the resistance that it was too dangerous for her to be involved. That her mother was part of the resistance as well with her father and that is what got her killed. There was no formal investigation because Powers controls the police so it was written off as a random mugging, but Perry knew the truth and was determined to make Powers pay someday.
Just then the police raided the warehouse Perry quickly dropped to his knees while the others scattered and told his daughter to pull out her gun. She did as she was told and naturally the police thought she had captured a resistance leader while in the process threw all suspicion away from Cassie. Cassie brought her father in for questioning at Wayne-Powers. During the questioning they rehashed old arguments while Powers and other executives looked on from the other side of the interrogation room. The whole time they were “arguing” Perry was tapping out instructions on Cassie’s foot in Morse code. Telling her where he hid all his paperwork on the resistance, who was also involved in the resistance, where he had hidden the evidence against Stone & Powers, she was to destroy all of it and have nothing to do with the resistance. Finally after five hours Powers decided he had seen enough and was going to kill Perry. Perry though made one last request that his daughter be the one to kill him. Perry wanted to see if Cassie was truly a part of Powers’ crew could she kill her own father. (He did this to not only convince Powers of Cassie’s loyalty but it would ensure the resistance would leave her alone).Holding back the tears and the pain Cassie shot her father. Powers was impressed that she would kill her father in cold blood and in the name of the company.
Cassie requested and was granted a 2 month leave of absence. She told Powers it was to deal with the shock of her father’s betrayal, but it was to go to a private mountain cabin that only her and parents knew about to destroy all the information that he told her about through the Morse code. This cabin was special to Cassie. She and her parents spent a lot of weekends and summer vacations there. While she was walking in the woods she came upon a mutant Shaman living in the woods. His name was Daniel Silverhawk and Cassie learned that for years while she would go fishing or swimming in the lake her father was visiting Silverhawk and his tribe. Her dad was doing what he could very quietly to help mutants in their legal matters, and her mother was giving medical assistance to them.
Silverhawk could tell that Cassie had a strong drive for justice and she wanted to avenge her parents. Silverhawk taught her that killing others isn’t the way to serve justice, but that there ways to serve justice that were non-lethal. He taught her traits and abilities that he had never taught anyone else out of loyalty to her family. how to be seen only when she wanted to be seen, how to interrogate one with just a glance, how to see things other people tend to overlook, various forms of fighting, and how to use a bow & arrow. Cassie loved using the bow & arrow and proved to have a natural talent in using it.
As Cassie was preparing to leave she told Silverhawk of her desire to continue the fight for justice against Powers and others like him and to use her new skills to aid in that fight. Silverhawk told her how her maternal great grandparents wore once superheroes. Her great grandfather was known as the Green Arrow who fought for the rights of others and used a bow and arrow like the one she trained with. Cassie’s great-grandmother fought alongside her great grandfather and was known as the Black Canary. Silverhawk presented her with a costume made of black leather that bore a striking resemblance to her great grandfather’s costume along with a black mask, a voice distorter, and boots.
Cassie knew what she had to do, but Cassie also knew that since she murdered her father the resistance would not only not accept her but she found out there was a bounty on her head by the resistance. Cassie knew she couldn’t help them herself, but she maybe she could create an alternate persona with this costume and her talents. One that would give hope to the people and be an enemy to those who would oppress and prey upon them…she would become…The Black Arrow.
Powers and Abilities: Black Arrow is a world class archer. She is also a brilliant detective, an expert at cover/concealment, an expert in hand to hand combat through her time in the army and training with Silverhawk. Because of her connections within Wayne-Powers she is able to mingle with the upper-class effortlessly.
Supporting Cast (If Any): Black Arrow works alone, but from time to time will work covertly to aid the resistance. There could be a member or two of the resistance further down the line but for now she works alone.
Sample Post (must be a minimum of 2 paragraphs with at least 2 lines of dialogue from your character):
A gathering of 6 members of the Gotham resistance were huddled within an abandoned warehouse by the docks. They knew this place all too well this was where Perry McAllister was arrested and the resistance thought for sure it had seen it’s last night of existence. They had decided to lay low for some time until the furor over Perry’s death subsided, but they all received the same package from an anonymous source. Telling them to meet here and each one was given a part of a playing card that Perry used to identify himself with in the resistance.
One of the leaders asks, “How do we know this isn’t a set-up?”
Another member replies, “Each of us being given a section of the card. Perry never carried it with him, and the police would never think of us using the same place twice.”
Just then the sound of an arrow break through the air and embedding itself in the wall breaks the silence. Attached to the end of the arrow is a large envelope. The resistance leaders approach the arrow and take the folder. As they open it up they see copies of various files concerning the resistance from Perry’s desk.
A distorted voice says, “Good evening.”
They all begin to frantically look around and see a female outline in the moonlight through the skylight.
One of the leaders says, “Who are you? How did you get this information? What do you want?”
The woman says, “Who am I? I can either be your greatest ally in this fight or…” in one smooth motion pulls out an arrow and fires it. Pinning the envelope against the wall again and says, “or your greatest enemy.”
The woman steps out a little further and they can see a black costumed woman wearing a black mask with a hood and a bow and arrow over her shoulder.
She says, “I’m called Black Arrow. I can assist you in ways that you can only dream of. I too want Powers & Stone brought down. As you can see I have access to information about the resistance and all of you. I can use it how I choose. I know your entire playbook and to re-do it would take years, so that puts me in a position of power.”
One of them asks, “Okay so again what do you want?”
Black Arrow replies, “Only one thing: The two million dollar bounty on Cassandra McAllister is here by null and void. I will deal with her in my own time. As of right now she doesn’t exist to the resistance. Anything at all happens to her, so much as a chipped nail and I will succeed where Powers and the others have failed. I will destroy you all and the resistance.”
A leader says, “You’re bluffing.”
Black Arrow turns to him and says, “I have the originals of all those files I know where they are and how to access them. Care to continue this charade of bravado or do you all want to win this war?”
They look at each other and after a moment one asks, “How do we contact you?”
Black Arrow replies, “I’ll contact you.”
With that she fires an arrow with a cable and tugs once and disappears through an open skylight.
One of them asks, “Do we trust her?”
Another replies, “No but we don’t have a choice now do we? We work with her for now, and for now the bounty is removed.”
They remove the arrow, the folder, and go their separate ways.
Black Arrow stands on a nearby rooftop listening with an ear-piece from a bug inside of the arrow.
She smiles and says, “Good enough. For now.”
