[F for 18+ M] Gritty Drama, Crime, Slice of Life, Modern!

    THE BASICS
    • Though new to this site, I am not to roleplaying or writing in a forum environment. I'd like to try the Guild on for size.
    • I'm a fulltime college student. I cannot promise daily updates, but I will try my best. My updating schedule is also dependent on how insatiable our plot is. I have the capacity to post several times a night.
    • I live on the East Coast. (GMT-4).
    • I love talking OOC and would like a chance to get to know you.
    • Communication is integral to plot development.
    • For me, "advanced" speaks to grammar, mechanics, and plot and character development. I put no floors or ceilings on things like word counts and paragraph size/length. Quality over quantity.
    • Effort is infectious. I try when you try.
    • Ditching is for losers.
    • As well as English, I'm also majoring in European history. If you can give me an enthralling and accurate American or European RP, I'll love you.

    WHAT I SEEK
    • A mature [18+] male. Themes and acts of an adult nature will probably happen. I'd like them to.
    • Speaking of "themes and acts of an adult nature," I do not want a sex-drived plot. Furthermore, while smut is nice, distasteful smut is not. Please exercise your sexual kinks someplace besides my PM box.
    • I'm a sucker for wit and humor.
    • Dirty, gritty plots with plenty of drama and realism.
This means I am not partial to scifi, fantasy, canons/universes, anything cartoonish or manga-like, etc.
    • I like flawed characters, Byronic heroes, and jaded men. Tall, strong, tattoos, rugged jawline. Angsty, sullen, angry. Alcoholism, cigarettes, rough in bed. Please and thank you.
    • Developed characters. I'd like your character to be a human being, not a static disappointment. Despite my stereotypical descriptions above, give me something else too -- a reason for your character's attitude.
    • PMs. I'd like to stay away from threads. They make me feel like I'm on display.
    • Proper grammar and mechanics. Don't give me any ["I think you're great," He said] or ["I think you're great", he said] or ["I think you're great." he said] bullshit. Please, spare me. Perfection is impossible, but at least proofread. I trust you know where your commas go.

    WHAT TO EXPECT
    • A sounding board. I love exchanging ideas and building on them with another person.
    • Complex female characters. I play all demeanors and backgrounds and can be very flexible in this department. She will be a person with flaws and dreams and a past.
    • Regular updates unless communicated otherwise beforehand.
    • Detail.
    • An easy-going partner. I don't start drama and won't hound you for posts.
