I aspire to silence the voices,
That I might hear the One True Voice.
When that One True Voice is silenced,
I shall hear Everything
Name: Haven
Appearance: A tall long limber girl dances and skips her way about. Thick wild tendrils of long brown hair flow behind her as she moves. When she is still, the thick locks settle around her ankles. Their color is flat and brown in darkness, but sunlight brings forth hues of red and gold into the tangle that twists itself into dreadlocks. Her complexion is that of a reddish baked clay, freckles are spattered over her face and arms as plentiful as the stars in the sky.
History: --
Personality: --
Non-magical skills, talents and/or strengths:

Name: Felix Acelin Sidus PhD
Nickname: "Doc"
Age: 39
Height: 5'0"
Approximate Weight: 150
Blood Status: Pure Blood
Preferred House: Aeris
Wand: N/A
Appearance: A short wiry man with sharp features and small twinkling blue
eyes. His hair is a pile of dark curly wisps streaked with thin white strands. He trims his beard to keep a small bushy goatee on the edge of his chin. He is comfortable in a muggle suit and tie.
Personality: An excitable quirky personality, with a warm heart. His brain fires at a rapid pace difficult for his mouth and his company to keep up with. He is very involved with his subject-matter and his hobbies which include regular chess, video games and knitting.
Bio: Born to the house of Acelin, an old proud pure-blooded family. Felix never really fit in with his family... he was a Squib.
After one painfully embarrassing year in wizard-school, Felix decided to apply himself elsewhere rather than embrace a life where he would always be useless. He left home, and having only taken muggle-studies 101, took on a muggle identity and attended muggle schools. (Granting himself a new last name 'Sidus')
He was odd to the muggles, however, this was not uncommon among the 'science kids' where Felix quickly fit in. In college he majored in Astronomy. During college he was involved in a car accident, several of his friends were killed. Plagued with survivors guilt, he turned to explore muggle religions. Oddly enough, he was brought into Wicca by his significant other, and has explored a few over the years... He is currently Buddhist.
He went on to earn his PhD in Astrophysics, and got a job watching the stars. He occasionally impressed his colleges with an uncanny ability to read people and predict circumstances... but he could hardly elaborate on his knowledge of *real* astrology he had learned as a child.
Attending a conference in NYC, he became aware of the NYAMA. He stopped in to 'check it out' and spoke with the headmaster. A few months later he had a new job... teaching.

Name: Ocllo Rivera
(Her full 'true' name: Ocllo Tupa Rivera Caupolican. In chile it is common to a child to bear both their paternal and maternal names. The paternal name is the ‘official’ name, and is used on important documents. She would be simply be known as “Ocllo Rivera”; her first name and her father’s last name. Her first name is an Incan feminine name, and her middle name is an Incan masculine name, her parents saw it fit to acknowledge her dual nature.)
Nickname: This will be up to her friends.
Age: 15 (A girls "Quinceañera" is significant and lucky in Spanish cultures.)
Height: 6’2”
Approximate Weight: 160 lbs
Blood Status: Mixed-blood
Preferred House: Terra
Wand: 12 ½’, wood of Araucaria Araucana, commonly named “Monkey Puzzle Tree” (a pine tree native to Chile), core of serpent feather.
Appearance:
Appearance: Towering above the other girls in her class, her awkward gangly-teen body takes on a wide rectangular shape, flat chested and straight-hipped, with only the slightest hint of feminine curve. Wearing her uniform she is sometimes mistaken for a boy. She keeps her thick inky-black hair long, the thick dark mass falls past her shoulder blades. Her skin is the color of warm baked clay. She has a round moon-face, a thick flat nose, soft dark lips, and deep pitch-brown eyes.
She wears her uniform more often than it is required. She is not interested in fashion and has a difficult time finding cloths that fit her properly or look flattering. Her cloths are very simple, plain shirts paired with slacks or jeans. Many of her garments are men's cloths because of her height and build. Green and copper are her favorite color choices.
Personality:
A rather mellow presence. Her strengths are her maturity, and her ability to remain calm and focused in hectic situations. Her downfall is her internal discomfort; She still feels strange because she is so tall, because she is from another country, and because she is awkward.
She experiences occasional bouts of clumsiness; not being able to keep up with her yet-growing limbs. She has a good understanding of manners (her parents were very strict about posture, and her job required impeccable manners and awareness), in most cases she understands her body well enough to keep her tall-form steady and graceful in her own way.
Her internal awkwardness presents itself more readily in casual social and personal situations. She will always make an effort if the people around her are friendly, but she finds herself with her tongue tied up, and find herself saying something strange or ill-timed. It takes her a long time to become comfortable with another.
She loves history, all-things-dusty-and-ancient, and poetry. Studying is an easy pastime, she is an excellent student. She has a knack for riddles and puzzles; she aspires to become a magical archaeologist. Though she understands the concepts studied in class, she is slower and clumsier in her execution spells and other practical magical workings.
Bio: Ocllo comes from a humble mixed-blood business-oriented family. They are a ‘mixed blood’ in two ways: They are Muggles and Wizards, and Metizo the mixed ethnic group that makes up much of the Chilean population. She is mostly native, which shows in her features, her family boasts that they can trace their magical blood back to the Inca.
Her extended family in Chile is quite wealthy. They own many vineyards, copper mines, and other industries. Her parents, combining their love of cooking and magic, her parents ran a gourmet wizarding restaurant in Santiago, Chile.
Ocllo is an only child. She was born with a genetic abnormality and has been categorized as intersex. She is externally female, and therefore, has been raised and provided potions and charms to balance her hormones to live and develop correctly as a woman. It is not something she thinks about often or is concerned with, she is sometimes amused by her ambiguity, and sometimes feels guilty because she will never be able to bear children and carry on her family name.
She grew up in Chile working in her parents restaurants, attending muggle school until she was old enough for magical school, and vacationing in her cousins vineyards. Recently, one of her Uncles persuaded her parents to embark on a business venture in New York City: A new restaurant serving wizards AND muggles (Note: the muggles are kept unaware of the magical nature of their dining guests and chefs. Employees are strictly hired through referrals, and comprise of wizards, squibs, and a few muggles that are closely related to wizzards.)
Rather than attending wizard school with old her friends, she moved with her parents to America and was enrolled in New York Academy for the Magic Arts.
Her first year at NYAMA was difficult, she had studied English in school, but her lessons did not accommodate for all the new slang, the culture shock was rather disruptive, she found it difficult to make friends in the big city, her studies and grades suffered under the stress.
Her second year went a bit smoother, she felt comfortable with the language and culture, and found a niche and finally making some friends. Her grades improved as she became happy in her new home. She has sustained a high grade point average, her class choices reflect her fascination with history and her desire to continue her family’s business. She dreams of magical archeology, however, as an only-child her family may expect her to inherit their growing-business.
Pet: Pablo Neruda (named after the poet), is an armadillo. He is about a foot long, sandy in color, with scaly back and a soft hairy under-belly. He can roll himself up into as a defence mechanism (but also does so to play).
