I was planning on getting myself a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment for next year. After three years of miserable roommates, I just want to spend my senior year by myself.

But my parents do not like the idea of my living alone. And since they help me pay my rent (full time student + one minimum wage job = too poor), I have to listen to them.

I'm thrilled to have an apartment, and I know I'm incredibly lucky. But I just want to be alone.

Now I have to take out an ad for a roommate. Can't wait to live with a complete stranger!

First time I had a total stranger as a roomie:

Dude took an average of three showers a day. Turned out to be gay, moved his boyfriend in without splitting the rent three ways.

Never really talked to him or knew much about the dude.

All my other roommates have been friends.
