Boris grunted in reply. Putting the computer down on a desk he said, "You need to hear this." He played the memo again. As it played he went over to a window. The sky was starting to darken. He looked at the clock; it said it was only 5:30, but with all the weird crap going on he wouldn't have been surprised if it suddenly got darker at five o'clock. Grunting something about finding a place to sleep, Boris walked over to the door adjoining the nurses office and the main office. Trying the door he found it was unlocked.
One of the cabinets had the key still in the lock, a box of band-aids was on the floor. He started sifting through the cabinet; more band-aids, gauze, a few epipens. Just a bunch of medical supplies. Looking around the room, Boris saw several things that made his spirits rise. Two or three cots that were basically just low-tables with a thick pad on them, a box on the wall that said " Fire Blankets," and a pair of stainless steel crutches. "So we'll be ok treating minor wounds and injuries" he thought out-loud. Ignoring the cots and crutches for now, Boris went and opened the box. Pulling out a thick comforter-like blanket he re-rolled it and walked bak into the main office. Holding out the mat to Eden he said, "Here, there's a few more in the science labs if I remember. And if we're gonna be here a while, then there's a couple cots in there we could drag somewhere."
