The Witch's Curse(Toothless and Heartless)

She went down the unknown and hard to get through path with Soon, being very careful to not trip and give away where they were. For all the people in her village knew, they were running away from the village, not toward it, so maybe they wouldn't get caught. They at least made it to the edge of the forest and was able to look at all the buildings. Even though it had been so long, she still knew them like the back of her hand. Her accusers were gathering people and heading into the woods by the time they got there. This meant it would probably be essier o get a horse with them all going into the woods like that. She waited until they were gone then leaned over whispered to him, still crouching in the brush with him, "There is a stable a little ways up. We should be able to gets horse from there and it go un-noticed for at least a few hours..."

Crouching down in those bushes for as long as they had was uncomfortable but he wanted to make sure the coast was clear before coming out of hiding. He knew if they waited too long though the villagers might come back. With a small nod of his head he eased out into the open before skirting forward to run along the side of the homes, when he reached the last he signaled for her to stop and peered over the remaining stretch of land to the stables. It was all open from here so for a second he searched for some warning of what was to come but earned only a breif flash of worry and a small shadow against a washed out background.

He shook his head- clearing away the useless vision and taking Anna's hand. He walked slowly at first but by the time they reached the stables they had picked up speed and then dwindled down to walking once more. Pressing against the outer wall he glanced into the stables and saw nothing but the shadows of horse cast away from their stalls. "Let's grab one."

Anna nodded, pressed against the stables just as he was, peeking in to look at the horses. She searched her mind, trying to remember which of the horses were more tame. They would need a tame one that wouldn't throw two kids off its back. She looked around and then quickly moved into the stables, studying the horses, then nodded to herself, waving for him to follow her. She opened one of the stalls and smiled, "Come on Star." The little girl led the horse out of the stall by the reigns and looked at Do on, "This one belongs to my neighbor. He used to let me ride her sometimes. She'll be the best one we can take." She stated and after a moment of trouble trying to get up, she managed to get on the horse's back, smiling down at Doon, "Get on. She won't throw you off."

Doon didn't know too much about horses especially this unfamiliar batch so he left Anna to pick one out as he kept watch from the sidelines. There was no saying when that angry mob would return and string them both up to that tree. If he died here... would that mean he'd never be born some years from now? With a death like this he would probably become a ghost and meeting himself in the future would be sort of weird. He shook his head as Anna was telling him to climb up. "Alright, alright. I'm working on it." Even though this met coming out of his day dreams... Without a saddle on the horse's back it was a chore to get up and he sat gingerly. "You know how to ride a horse right?" Or were they the blind leading the blind?

Anna bit her lip, "Kind of. But that was with reigns. I've never ridden a horse bareback..." she stated, holding onto the mane of the mare, then gently bumped the horse's sides. The horse went off of the stables, taking off into the woods. It was harder to keep onto the horse on such uneven ground, but she managed. The only thing that could stop them now was if they ran into the villagers. She swallowed at the thought. It sent fear through her just thinking about it. She didn't want to die. Not yet. She wanted to live her life, even if it meant living it in a different village using a new name. She kicked the horse's side, making her speed up as she looked back a Doon for a moment, "You doing okay on this horse?"
