This is an idea for a RP about a species who's entire empire has collapsed and are now struggling to survive. they are called the Dioméndés and are a powerful race, there were however several problems causing their downfall. The first was the revolution of Peace, while successful, is caused the death of over half their people, with the Dio not being as reproductive as most species, this caused a serious problem. The second was the decision to seclude themselves after the revolution of Peace and the fact that their culture changed from a war culture, to a peaceful one. This caused their power in battle to crumble more and more. Then came the Counter-Wars. Having finally found the Dio, the main powers in the universe took their revenge. Unable to defeat them, the Dio's empire crumbled down until only several outpost remained.

That is where this RP starts. You start either on a Dio spaceship or in a Dio settlement. you can also choose to be one of those seeking to bring about a complete end to the Dio, but note: there are not many species on par with the Dio. Currently the only reason the Dio are losing is because the survivors have been isolated and are vastly outnumbered. (After the First Counter-War the war-culture returned partially and so the military strength of the Dio Empire rose once again. This is a fantasy RP, perhaps mixed with the horror's war brings.

This is what the description of the Dioméndés currently says about their abilities, physical advantages and technology.
Abilities and special features:
The Dio are a species adept to survival. The are creatures that live purely of energy, it gets converted into their daily needs by a special organ functioning as the belly. Most organs are smaller than humans, as the only grow up to 1.70(men) and 1.60(woman). These organs are much more efficient than a humans organs though. The weakest of them is able to lift at least twice the load a human world champion could lift.
In body there is also an organ that examines diseases and surrounding circumstances as well as wounds and energy running through a Dio's body. Once examined the organ will adept the body to be able to use the techniques, forms or energy and diseased for their own and a resistance to these things will be applied to the body. This is called ''Rapid-evolution''. (A bit of a contradiction, but there are always exceptions.)
A Dio's teeth can be filled with certain poisons for all kinds of purposes.
In A Dio's eyes lay their most powerful magical ability. The ability to break the rules that bind the universe. These rules can be scientific laws of magical ones, there are rules that cannot be broken like the rules of Death and Life. A second ability also lays in these eyes, the ability to adapt. It copies the targets memories, knowledge, biology and energy. This information gets downloaded into the information network that binds all the Dio souls together.
The Dio are known to have created a dimension called the shadow world. It is a world filled with energy with limitless resources, during the the great Dio-wars this was how the Dio got their biggest advantage, endless high quality fleets. The Dio are know to travel from one point to another by using the Shadows as a gateway. The natural portals to the shadow world are the shadows in this world, the dimension has been protected in such a way that no other species can get in.

Technology:
The technology of the Dio is partially technology and partially magic. They combined the two long ago so that their soul would fit their technology. Their space ships move mostly through teleportation. This is not dangerous because everything that was in the place they teleport to gets destroyed by the event horizon.
Zombies, yes they brought people back from the dead by using their magical technology, however these are not the ghouls you'd expect them to be. They are mutated into giant soldiers using blades and enormous guns. They are the foot soldiers and have a completely technological counterpart due to the lack of dead people every once in a while.

magical reconstruction: Promethea can examine and reconstruct magic that they see, making them immune to most magical attacks by finding and exploiting weaknesses in the construction.

light world affinity: along with the shadow world, a second, opposite dimension was created by the universe to balance the amount of shadow energy created. this "light world" is likewise a source of limitless power, but is untouchable by the Dio. Promethea was created to utilize this power and stand as a final defense against invading armies. as long as they are bathed in light, Promethea will never run out of energy. as a draw back, however, Promethea cannot touch the shadow world and is much weaker than most races, relying on magic too much.

When it comes to space ships, here are the types of ships:
Fighters:
Light Fighter, fast but weak, best as recon.
Heavy fighters, less fast but stronger than light fighters, best for fighting fighters or small bases.
Bombers, fast and maneuverable, only armed with anti-cruiser weapons, best for fighting small bases to the biggest capital ships.
Transports:
Military Transports: slow and bulky, can be equipped with fighter bays and repair stations as well as normal cargo bays and anti fighter defenses.
Commercial Transports: fast in a straight line, slow maneuvering, equipped with cargo bays and anti fighter defenses.
Cruiser:
Assault cruiser: fast and armored. Assault cruisers have anti fighter defenses and are used as assault transports when taking a planet or station.
Cruisers: armored and shielded. Cruisers are known for their destructive capabilities of other Cruiser-class ships.
Battle-Cruiser: Similar to the cruiser except that it is very slow but has more firepower.
All cruiser-class ships are equipped with small fighter bays.
Capital ships:
Battleship: Battle-cruisers so large they have are in a completely different class. Averagely the size of New York, everything smaller is a Battle-cruiser. (The enormous mass make it impossible to be a fast ship.
Space City (Dio only ship, but it can be invaded and taken as every other ship): Space cities are redesigned moons. The inside of the moons are first filled with two "Cities". The line separating the two is then cut. Underneath the cities sub-light engines are placed and on the surface defenses, shields and space ports are built. It's weak points are structural integrety and the low amount of defenses underneath the city.
Military Space Base (Dio only ship, but it can be invaded and taken as every other ship): These military bases follow the same principle as the moons, only they are completely fabricated rather than using the moons as a base. They take longer to build, and longer to be destroyed. While the cities are built to live, these based are built to survive. Most crew are mechanical of nature and resistant to magic. The small organic crew present command the base from deep within. The defenses are better than the Space City's, but there are less space ports. The shields are the same.

Most species in the galaxy use warp engines to move across great distances, the Dio ships use teleportation, everything about speed is meant to be about the sub-light engines. Only cruisers, transports and capital ships are equipped with warp/teleport engines.

There most common ships are fighters, then commercial transports, military transports, cruisers, assault-cruisers, battle-cruisers, battleships, space cities and lastly military space bases.

Magical Abilities: Liria can form an armor of dragon scales around her body and clothes. It is a full body armor powered by the shadows, using the tiny space between the scales and Liria's skin to instantly create a shadow portal. The armor also makes for survival without the necessary circumstances being present.
Talents: Liria's talents lie in fighting and short-term strategy.
Preferred weapons (and ships): Her preffered weapon is a long sword that amplifies the energy, being elemental or pure, that she sends through the blade. Liria's preferred ship is an Assault cruiser, yet she is currently in charge of a Military Space Base.
Appearance (Words or picture. The Dio are known to come in many different looks, some look like humans, others do not. Males can only become 1.70 high meters and woman 1.60.):

Personality:
Liria is a Dio holding a grudge against everything that is not Dioméndés. To the Dio she is kindhearted and caring, to her soldiers harsh and strong. While being a very proud person, she can swallow her pride but only for another Dio. To her enemies she is ruthless and without mercy, often resulting in massacre when the enemy is unable to stop her fleet. The times on the front-lines have been hard and so Liria is filled with memories she is unable to properly process. This is the reason she can sometimes be very cold and secluded, even to her kin.

Also hello Lunar Fajita and Chukklehed my creative juices are flowing once more after the longest creative writers block I have ever had and I want to do some seriouse RPing. I'm stepping it up in Dragon Academy and maybe going to make a new RP.

Humanity is around, but the level of civilization is the same as it is now. Magic and demons are hidden away from them by organizations of mostly alien influence and the most powerful of human mages. Aliens tend to leave earth and the system it is in alone because there is nothing there to trade or take for them. If humans were to develop space craft and powerful weapons, the aliens would come and the confusion would probably also cause the discovery of magical beings.
