    Name: Roran Hawkins
    Gender: Male
    Age: 3th of August 1895 - 20 years old
    Nationality: Belgian
    Appearance:
    Spoiler

Personality: Roran is a very energetic and ambitious young man. He is eager and enthousiastic, yet careful which heavily contrasts his otherwise somewhat boasting behaviour. He is very humouristic and social, but can be very shy in certain situations. he hasn't volunteered to join the airforce out of partiotism, but rather out of the search of adventure and thrills. He also did this to avoid fighting on the ground, since his ancestors had died en masse during the great conflicts of the previous century.
History: Roran's family was heavily engaged in the Napoleonic wars, where many of his great-great-grandfathers died fighting for Britannia. His closest ancestor had moved here after those wars, in the search of a safe and tranquil place to live, fleeing the Victorian society in Great Britain. He lived happily ever after in belgium, as far as that was possible with his rather limited capital, but has ensured a rather comfortable life for his predecessors. Roran's name was chosen in honour of this same immigrated man, which also was the cause of his last name. He had a relatively normal young life, with its ups and downs, living on a large farmstead. His family was rather well fortuned as he was able to go to school anddo limited studies before the war broke out. His family fled West, where Roran used his British ancestries to sneak into the British volunteering program as there was no established Belgian escadrille nor squadron yet, as far as he knew.
Reasons why he/she volunteered: Search for adventure and to avoid being recruited in the ground forces
    Loves: Flying, drawing, painting, horsemanship
Hates: Maintenance, cold rain, being cold in general, sand in his boots
Fears: Heights, being killed, crashing, being burned alive, falling out of his plane

    Name: Erich von Schlieffen
    Gender: Male
    Age: September 2 1896 - 20
    Nationality: German.
    Appearance:

Personality: Tends to be quiet, reserve and stand-offish at first, having lost too many friends during the on going war has changed his once boyish happy-go-lucky demeanor. Spends most of his time when not flying thinking and planning better air combat strategies and maneuvers in hopes of one day commanding his own Jasta. Having male ancestors who were once Knights and took part in the Crusades, he fancies himself one as well and flies with a Knights code of conduct attitude.

History: Born in Frankfurt, Erich was known from early childhood for his sunny happy-go-lucky temperament. He grew up in the Bavarian city of Munich. He was fascinated with aviation from early childhood and hung out at a nearby airplane factory and an army airship detachment. At sixteen he was sent to a military academy at Berlin Lichterfelde, from which he graduated with distinction. He joined the Prince Wilhelm Regiment (112th Infantry) of the Prussian army. Then managed to gain transfer to the Luftstreitkräfte and was sent for pilot training at Johannisthal Air Field.

Reasons why he volunteered: To fly and test his skills.
    Loves: Flying, French Cognac, Women.
    Hates: Frenchmen.
    Fears: Being burnt alive.

    Name: Giuseppe Da Parma
    Gender: Male
Age: 10th of June, 1892. 24 years old.
    Nationality: Italian
    Appearance:

Personality: Giuseppe is a good-hearted person, and tends to behave nice to those around him. However, he has the old habit of his ancestors to feel much more important than others and then brag about him and his family. He likes a good drink and a cigarette.
History: Giuseppe Parma is the only son in the Palma family, a family with long and strong ties in Italian history. His father is the count of Palma itself and he took part in the unification of Italy, and so Giuseppe feels a strong sense of pride in his name. He was born and raised in his family's estate in time of Italian growth, and so his passion for Italy grew just as big as his ego. From the first time he ever saw a balloon floating through the sky, he knew what he wanted to do. But even for his father wealth and Giuseppe's promising talent for planes, his father never allowed him to fly alone out of fear for his family losing their only son and heir. He nearly managed to join the Italian airplanes to fight against the Ottomans in 1911, but when he was ready it was too late.
Then as the war for Italy began in 1915, Giuseppe saw his chance for glory and honour as well as fulfilling his dreams. He did his best to avoid being drafted into the Army and Navy, until he finally joined the Italian Air Force within the army. Now that he could fight against the enemies of Italy, Giuseppe could fight for all those Italians that were under Austrian oppression.

Reasons why he/she volunteered: To honour his family's name and his country, like his family did before him.
Loves: Exclusive wine and cigarettes, Italian history, airplanes and his own reputation.
Hates: Austrians and Germans, liberals and Marxists, dirt, oil spills and blood.
Fears: Being burned to death, Italy losing the war, dishonouring his family's name.

    Name: Herman Gottlieb

    Gender: Male

    Age: October 17, 1893 (23)

    Nationality: German (Prussian)

    Appearance:
    Spoiler

Personality: Herman is a happy-go-lucky sort, prone to mischief and a good laugh. He does not take the war personally, instead seeing it as a test of skill. He is always a good sport, even in combat, but tends not to take things to seriously. An eternal optimist.

History: Herman is the third son of a wealthy family, one whose history goes so far back that they are technically part of the Uradel. Brought up in a strict Lutheran household, Herman often chaffed at his father's restrictions and prejudices. So it was with great relief when he was accepted as a student at the University of Jena; there, away from the rigorous religious demands of his father and older brothers, Herman threw himself into university life with the greatest of abandon. While he can't prove it, Herman is fairly certain he held the record for the highest number of "visits" to the university's Karzer without getting expelled. He lived by the old standard: Wer nicht liebt Wein, Weib und Gesang / Der bleibt ein Narr sein Lebelang ("Who loves not wine, women and son / Remains a fool his whole life long.") His carefree attitude earned him a number of duels. A twin mensur scars on his left cheek give testament to the fact that while he may not be the fastest blade, he had the character to stand his ground. His student corporation always backed him, knowing that even if Herman did not draw first blood, he was at least not shame them. At the outbreak of the war, Herman was among the first to volunteer to do his part... only to end up assigned as a QuarterMaster in Bonn. This was hardly the thrilling excitement of war he had expected. With a solid knowledge of physics (the only courses he ever excelled at while at Jena), Herman dreamed of being a Zeppelin captain or even a pilot as part of Die Fliegertruppen. After the Spring of 1916, as Germany lost its air superiority, his chance finally came. The German Imperial Air Force was reorganizing as Die Deutschen Luftstreitkräfte, and a large part of that reorganization called for more pilots. He wrote Oswald Boelcke himself to secure a position, using his family as leverage. Approved as potential candidate, Herman rushed to join the training for the new Jagdstaffeln that were being formed. Boelcke himself was killed October 28, 1916, just a few days before Herman arrived. But arrived he has, and armed with the new training manual that outlines the Dicta Boelcke, he is determined to make a name for himself as part of Jasta 7!

Reasons why he volunteered: The thrill of doing something few men dared to do! A chance to face impossible odds! Oh, yes, and to spite his father.

Loves: Wine, Women and Song. A good laugh. Showing off.

Hates: Religion. People being overly serious. His father. Equipment not working the way it's supposed to.

Fears: Commitment. People judging him. Inhumanity. He knows one day his antics will go too far, but he can't help himself. Mice and rats... something about their naked tails and squeaking sends shivers down his spine.
Just two cents from a Buffalo nickel. Got change?
