Common decision making methods used in my household

As many of you know I've been pretty ill this week, and mostly bedridden, and I've only been out of my house once in the past five days. Part of this being sick has included losing my voice almost 100%. Also included is a hacking cough, on and off fever, and nausea. Fun stuff, right?

And yet, my mom sees fit to continually set me up with babysitting jobs, and thinks it perfectly acceptable. For the most part it's been mildly acceptable, as the kid comes here and I just have to make sure he doesn't die (contrary to the opinions of a certain Sophi and Hank). What is pretty lame, though, is that today, she came into my room just as I was waking up and said "ok there's a kid coming over for you to babysit in 30 minutes, I'll take your silence as an agreement." and then she walked right out.

If any of you were wondering where I get my lack of maturity, it's right there, folks.

    Sit kid down.

    Tell him don't die.

    Go back to sleep.

You never lost any maturity. It's just that you're not feeling okay. Are you having difficulties talking to your mother about how unhealthy you feel yet she still puts you on the job? You need to fight. You have to make your mother feel bad for you so she won't put you on pressure. I also recommend talking to a mental therapist or a doctor about this. There are counselors in where ever you study. Talk to them. They'll help you.

As long as he's quiet, who cares how it's working? Just say 'thank you' and be glad he's not a complete pain in your ass. XD
