I was kidding. I meant to say I was going to give input before people posted songs and now wouldn't (jokingly), but I guess it came off vaguely.

I think there is a scientific element to it (not sure the specifics), and I also think we gravitate towards rhythms/harmonies that are familiar to us. So maybe it's like a preference that forms in youth, or maybe songs trigger memories without us being aware of the connection.
