The three pokemon faced down range, each staring at a different wooden target and awaiting orders form their trainer. Gale gave his pokemon a once over, all of them serious for their days training. They hadn't stopped training since they arrived on the boat, Gale wanting to keep his pokemon as sharp as possible so that they were ready for the tournament. The training was going to help them gain an advantage over the trainers who wasted , not only their own time, but also the time of their pokemon and the tournaments. He had scouted out the rest of the competition when they had first arrived, seeing how well he stacked up to the rest of the participants. He determined that most of the competition were not worth his time, but there were a few of them that might just give him a run for his money, hence why he had decided to train instead of relax before the tournament. The challenge was just great enough for him to insure that he was prepared to face it.
The pokemon were ready to go, all of them willing to give him 110% to insure they're victory. Gale knew what each one needed to work on and each ones strengths, both of which he would work on during the trip on the boat, but for now it was standard target practice. He gave the order and all of the pokemon let out their respective attacks at once, striking the targets at the same time. The younger two pokemon both hit the targets with force, knocking over both the targets with ease. Gales pokemon that he started his adventure with struck the target with a lot more force, the target splintering into many small pieces. The results were good, but Gale knew that they could do better and as such was displeased with the results. He walked down to the end of the range, setting up new targets for the pokemon to train with, and the process repeated. They trained for most of the day, stopping just before the point where the pokemon would not fully recover from a night of rest. After the training, Gale took his pokemon to get some food, keeping their strength up for the next round of training.
