    Pirates! {IC}

William Edwards, Captain Will, 'The Demon'. He had been called all of these, and each one suited his taste just fine.
What was the not-so-widely known captain doing right now? Standing on a bar and glaring at a rather pitiful crew of men and women that he was supposed to sail the seas with. Currently, he seemed far from amused. His arms were crossed loosely over his chest, his many weapons rested easily on his person. His hood was down, showing his face to his crew- Straight lips, a creased brow, and that one, glinting silver eye all said that he had examined them and was currently unimpressed.
"Alright lads, and ladies. I am your Captain, William Edwards. Or Captain Will. Some of you may have heard the rumors, some of you may have not. But as far as I'm concerned, not one of us lives up to any rumors about ourselves on this ship until we prove them to our fellow ship mates- Myself included. Right now? We're -all- just scurvy sea dogs without a ship. We're a joke. A laughing stock. Today? We fix that. There's a pretty ship by the name of 'Mary Anne' floating in the wharf not five minutes walking from here. She's large, sturdy, well armed, already stocked, and most of all fast. The fastest currently anchored in a hundred miles, when the wind's right."
A broad grin flashed across the captains face, and his hands dropped to rest on the pommels of his twin swords.
"Why do I mention her? Because in about half an hour, we're going to be sailing her away from here, and we'll likely be tailed by a few Spanish ships trying to take her back. So, if you want to change your mind about breaking the law, about becoming a pirate and sailing with me, then leave now and speak not a word. If you still feel you wish to stay, then step forward and claim your place on our joke of a crew, so that we can take those who laugh at us and silence them with awe! We will prove the best crew to sail the seas. We will over-run Blackbeard and the 'Queen Ann's Revenge', we will overtake the horror of the 'Flying Dutchman'. Any crew that stands in the way of our adventure, or our treasure, will be sent to Davy Jones' locker. Now.... Who want's to go kick some Spanish ass and help make this speech a reality?"
He drew his twin blades with a resounding ring of steel, holding them at his sides and grinning at the crew in the bar. Cheesy speech? Most definitely. But hey, he promised treasure and adventure! And that wild look in his good eye said he could damn well deliver.

Nathaniel wakes up on the bed at the inn and he would go downstairs and pay for it and he goes to the captain's spot and hear the speech about how we are going to take the 'Mary Anne' for the port he never saw it in person but hear stories that It sunk two ship at one time. And Nathaniel said to the captain, "I know we're going to take the 'she out of a walk' but how in the world we're going to do that shes guarded by a thousand men!". Nathaniel may have got over board but he has a point as he would check to make such to have his gun, sword, and his fists ready for anything that maybe throw at him as he waits until he gets a idea. And Nat says as he eyes the girl, "What If we use the girl as bait? The guys will look at her and we'll enter the ship!" As he would cross his arms and thinks it's a great idea.

"And how would I get upon the ship afterwards you dolt?" Sarah asked, as she considered the obstacles in front of them.

They weren't a far sight short of the fifty or so crew such a ship would normally need and it would take a few minutes to make the ship ready besides. An eternity in which they would be vulnerable to attack. For a moment she considered firing the fort's canons at several of the ships. That would encourage the ships' owners to prepare to ship out themselves while simultaneously crippling some of the ships that would come after them. However, the same problem presented itself. Those using the cannons could very well leap from the keep's wall into the water where they could be scooped up. Then there was the fact they'd have readied all the ships and not just their own. That would make scooping up stragglers during the escape difficult.

The blonde pirate chewed at her lower lip and considered this dilemma. She put one of her snake skin boots upon a deck post meant to secure smaller fishing vessels and peered out across the harbour.

"Maybe we can do something with raising the harbour chain?" she suggested, referring to the chain that could be raised across the harbor mouth to trap vessels within. It could possibly by turned against their pursuers, preventing the other ships from giving chase.

Rico sat in one of the darker corner of the tavern and looked at the small group of men and woman in front of him. On top of the bar stood the captain of the pirate, a fierce fellow who as holding a speech at the moment. So this was the crew he was supposed to set sail with? Well, they didn't look that special, had he made a wrong decision in joining them? After all, the only reason he had even considered becoming a part of this crew was because of the captain's reputation. Looking at the captain, he found the rumors believable, but still, the rest, they looked like ordinary sailors to him. A bit rougher than the average maybe, but still nothing to be proud of. And there even was a woman. Didn't they know that women on pirate ships brought bad luck?

The boy shook his head in disgust. Well, he still had time to leave them. However, if he did and unlucky, it may take a couple of months before the next pirate crew stopped by this island. Because of the many spanish ships that laid in this port, most pirates preferred to avoid this particular piece of land. No, if he ever wanted to join a pirate crew and get revenge for his family this was his only realistic hope, whether he liked it or not. Sighing deeply, Rico closed his eyes and listened to the two other members once the captain had finished his speech. Were they seriously fighting already? Couldn't they even figure out how to steal one lone boat? "Simple minded grunts..." he mumbled under his breath, taking a sip from his glass of water.

Frederick Magellan sips from his bottle of rum just before his filthy mouth spoke with rancid breath, "I'll tell you what needs to be done." He walks in front of the six men, and just beside his new captain. He seemed as if he knew exactly what he's dealing with and how it needs to be done. It would be good and all, except for the fact that his body is slightly swaying every time the wind blows from the piers. He places the hand he uses to hold his rum above his head and holds his hat.

"Those few Spanish ships can be dealt on its own separately. They carry lots of boom-boom balls and black powder. Now, these boom-boom balls and black powder that I'm talking about makes a lot of noise when fire touches them." He imitates explosions using gestures and mouth noises, "BWOOOOSH. And then they all die." He laughs maniacally before he sips from the mouth of the bottle for a few gulps. "Oh that's nice.. Anyways, no ships, no Spanish ships problem." He curves a smile with his eyebrows raised and eyes closed. He gets a piece of cork from the pocket of his coat and sealed his rum with it. He then places the rum inside his coat wherein there's a pocket that is big enough to hold the bottle. "I'll get in individually. But you guys need to work on getting the ship ready for sailing, we don't want flaming bits of wood to be flying towards our little 'Mary Anne'. I'm just presenting a solution for the problem that is the Spanish fleet following us around."

Will looked around at those speaking, his grin broadening further.
"Ah, a crew of genius'! But-"
He reaches out with one of his blades for the mug in Fredericks hand, actually trying to slip it into the handle, take the mug, and drink it himself! Thirsty captain.
"A few things first, to be considered. Probably should have said it in the first place. The 'Mary Anne' is due to set sail today. In a half hour. In other words, by the time we get there, beat the barnacles out of the Spanish, and board her, she'll already be ready to sail. What -we- need to think about, is what the madam and the 'boom' guy here just said. How to stop the Spanish from following, and how to blow them up. Of course, that would require some crew members to stay here- Temporarily- to take care of using the cannons and raising the chain. Getting them onto the ship? Well... we'll need swimmers, won't we? We have swimmers, right?"
Should he have managed to take the mug without altercations, he would simply raise the sword so the mug was at his mouth, and drink from it. Casually. Like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Jeremiah sat quietly among the party of pirates who were debating their plan of attack. He did not say anything because he had never been a pirate before, and therefore did not feel comfortable around them. The more that was said, the more Captain Will's offer of "leave now and speak not a word" appealed to him. Each of these pirates were seriously considering insane plans that all involved dangerous things Jeremiah had no experience with. He had never fought his way onto a ship, he had never put a powder keg to flame, and he had most definitely never swam from shore to a ship that was fleeing the Spanish navy.

Without saying a word, Jeremiah stood up from the table and left the bar. Not once did he even look back. He had been invited by the Captain to leave, so he decided instead to take his chances at the mercy of the Spanish. As Jeremiah approached the Spanish fort he straightened up the rags he was wearing, and mustered up the most pompous voice that he could. As he reached the fort he addressed the guard as a king would a servant.

"I am a royal ambassador of Great Britain. My convoy was attacked by pirates who stole everything, even the clothes off of my back! I daresay this situation has been humiliating enough, and I demand to speak with whoever is in charge here at once!"

Clover was, for a change, in the background of the picture. He was usually so outspoken, but he was tired. Last night he had a little incident with the locals, but as luck would have it, it was nothing he couldn't smooth talk his way out of! But what even the best of luck couldn't cure was his hang-over. God he had such a headache.

Everything the Captain had been saying Clover was oblivious to. He was lost in his own world, one that involved imaginary women that were more beautiful than the waters they sailed on and a mountain of gold. But whether it was by chance or destiny, one question suddenly registered in his mind.

    "We have swimmers, right?"

Clover was suddenly blown away. Who was this Captain to ask if his sailors could swim or not? And who here wasn't able to swim, at that question? He decided to be the first to answer the question!

"Outta mah way!" Clover forced his way to the front of the crowd, his words slurred as he shouted at the top of his longs, "I be able to traverse the waters! Thar be no tide or chop, no shark or man-eating monster that can stop me! Aye, in the words of others, I be a swimmer Captain!"

Whoah. Sarah gaped at Clover's sudden revival. Just moments ago she thought he was going to fall asleep and now he was standing tall and declaring his unwavering skill. A good thing too for like most pirates Sarah couldn't swim. Being a lady there was simply no call to learn. A proper lady could not be seen without a dozen petticoats and that made swimming most difficult.

"Then perhaps we should each pick up a crate or carton and simply walk aboard the vessel as if we were delivering supplies," she suggested, "Those not delivering supplies can either raise the chain or fire cannons from the fort."

There was another option, one which she was loathe to put forward. She could put on the petticoats and the others could adopt the role of her servants as she barged aboard the ship spouting nonsensical foolishness about the vessel being used for a marriage at sea.
