A woman from Three Hills Park alleged she was put under a spell before being raped by a spiritual healer while accompanying her possessed husband for treatment on Thursday.
To make matters worse for the 30-year-old, her husband threw her out from their house following the treatment as he claimed not remembering who she was.
According to a source, the woman had brought her husband to the medium’s house in Siburan on Thursday afternoon as he was believed to have been possessed by an unknown entity.
During the treatment, the woman herself fell into a trance and blacked out. Upon regaining consciousness, she found herself lying naked on a bed in the medium’s room.
Experiencing pain in her private part, she suspected she had been raped by the medium who denied any wrongdoing.
Her husband’s condition, meanwhile, appeared to have worsened after the treatment as he seemed to have no recollection of his wife and chased her out of their house.
The woman lodged a police report against the medium and was sent for a medical checkup yesterday.
Deputy district police chief Supt Pauzi Bujang confirmed receiving a report on the incident when contacted yesterday, saying the case was being investigated with no arrest made so far.
